I hear so much, and receive so much understanding when I listen to these podcasts of yours. ❤ We're so limited on time each week in Sunday School, or Relief Society, we only barely scratch the surface of each topic, when it's suddenly time to go home...! We never seem to get enough time to really get to hear explanations on a lot of these scriptures, and when we read them at home, (& read alone, as I do, because my son is inactive),and he's not interested in participating with me... I have to most of the time, rely on my own understanding. And then hope that I am understanding correctly. 😊 So, thank you so much for starting your channel, and I want to thank you for your mission you served. I can tell you learned a great deal on your mission, and that you grew with your testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to a greater understanding than many young people who I know.... Around 16:54 - I like the scripture heading you read and your comment about - about the separation and the righteous becoming more righteous and the wicked becoming more wicked. I would like to draw a parallel to our day. Noting that the separation is real and your avoidance of political labeling is good... but we do need to recognise that if our day is a parallel to the Book of Mormon then we will see a separation and a divide in the people. 1: the verse/heading you mentioned that Nephites and lamanites join together (the righteous ones) - I see this on one side of the liberty movement - where there is unity and you can look across their gatherings and see people from all walks of life loving each other and in harmony and focusing on the Lord - opposed to the picture from the other side of the conversation who would choose to divide by every label possible and try to create anger and division where one does not need to exist. I too don't like care to use the same labels as what we see in the political arena.. but rather would call attention to doctrines being taught by talking heads... and where those doctrines fall in the definitions of the gospel. Plus... I like what someone said... no man is going to be the Saviour of the world at this point... except the Lord himself.
I wanted to share a quote as well from the Book of Mormon in Mosiah.... A meaningful scripture from the Book of Mormon is Mosiah 4:9: "Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend."
So much of what you said in this video made me think of Isaiah's writings. I wish people would put more time and effort into reading his writings. One of the things I see over and over in Isaiah's writings is a description of the spiritual condition of the people in the last days, which is a huge sign of the times, in my opinion. I can't read it and not see the parallels to our current society, both within the church and in the world in general.
Prophet been telling us we need the Holy Ghost and then there’s this from D&C 45: 56 And at that day, when I shall come in my glory, shall the parable be fulfilled which I spake concerning the ten virgins. 57 For they that are wise and have received the truth, and have taken the Holy Spirit for their guide, and have not been deceived-verily I say unto you, they shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire, but shall abide the day.”

Great video. I remember reading about these things in the Book of Mormon the first time I read it. I’m currently reading through it the second time. Im at Alma 58. But alot of this information was lost in the back of my mind because since I returned about a year and a half ago, I have read all of our standard works, front to back, accept for some of the Old Testament. I’ve read genesis through 2nd Kings and some of the prophets, and a little bit of proverbs. But I’ve not completed the Old Testament yet. But it’s been a lot of information to try to hold on to. I’m actually surprised that I’ve been able to get the understanding that I have in such a limited amount of time. I know it’s the Lord doing it cause I have ADHD and I don’t usually retain that I read😂😂

I had to stop listening when you started putting down people who vote for a party. We are all instructed to be involved with politics-we have a nation that has a constitution and government and we need to be involved. That doesn’t mean that we are all worshiping a candidate. Read President Benson on the constitution. This is what divides-making blanket statements about whole groups of people. I’m not offended. I want to educate you. Please pray about this.
Honestly, I recorded this a few days ago and can’t remember what I said specifically. However I don’t love talking about politics on my channel because I want to focus on Christ. I educate myself on politics, not extensively - but I am educated and participate. I don’t like to go into my views that often because, what I think doesn’t really matter… I do however think that there is a problem in America today, with politics that I really don’t get into hardly ever- because people are free to choose for themselves. I’m sorry you felt the need to stop listening because of what I said… that’s actually part of the reason why I keep politics off my channel because people get so defensive and stop listening and hearing the important parts…and that’s about Jesus Christ.
I went back and listened.. and I didn’t get specific one way or another.. I just read from the Book of Mormon and pointed out that that is happening today. You were the one that said “vote for a party”. I feel like that is why we are in this terrible situation that we are today because people are voting for party over principle… and both sides are doing it. What if instead of fighting over our differences we fought for unity together.. yet when there is unity in politics or bipartisanship they are criticized for being on the other team…. Yet what does Christ ask us to do over and over again? To become at one with Him and each other. To become Zion. This comment is way more political than I have ever done.. and honestly people might hate me for it.. but I’m so tired of politics and worldly people getting more admiration than Jesus Christ.
I love that you focus on Christ. That is the reason I am here. We are in a horrible state of affairs in our country and we are divided, unfortunately. That most likely won’t change until the Lord comes. I am very politically aware, but I am not worshipping any candidate or leader. I’m sure there are people looking for a ‘savior’, but that doesn’t mean everyone involved in politics is. That’s what stopped me when listening. Around 29:50. I’m with you on the gospel. I can’t wait for Him to return. I don’t want people thinking I am evil or am worshiping a political leader just because I am on a side that aligns better with my beliefs. That felt like an unfair assessment. That’s all.
