Little story about Jimmy Fallon getting undeserved heat from the press: My mailman, Mike, would make extra money as a bartender at special events in Boston. One night, Jimmy Fallon was one of the big names present. Mike saw Jimmy posing with some fans for pictures, and he didn't realize there was another fan crouched behind him, trying to get a picture at a different angle. As he started to walk away, he stumbled over her and broke his fall with his hand and sprained his wrist. He was able to get hooked up with an arm brace and stay at the event. Later, Mike was able to introduce himself and get a picture with Jimmy, now with his wrist in a brace. Mike's daughter thought it was so cool, she decided to share it on Twitter with the caption "Two great dads," and tags Jimmy. TMZ gets a hold of it, and uses it to insinuate that Jimmy's hiding that he's a fall-down drunk, as he had recently had a fall where he almost lost a finger. Anyway, just thought it was crappy how the press and public like to pick on him. He seems like a good guy to me. And as a Red Sox fan, I'll always be appreciative for "Fever Pitch" and his bit on SNL as a Boston Public school kid XD
That first paragraph is a little hard to understand. At first, I thought you meant that Mike was the one who sprained his wrist. I think if you specified who did what it would be easier to understand.
There's a pretty convincing theory that he does have severe alcoholism, and I'm pretty sure he's fallen drunk like that at least a few times outside of your story(not that that means your story has anything to do with it, but if anything that story would have been one of multiple instances supporting that theory) I don't like Jimmy Fallen, but I gotta give him credit where it's due. He actually made effort to avoid politics a few years ago when no one else would(which I find admirable since everyone else was losing their heads regardless of it being relevant to the show), he's never been that funny honestly(he'sthe epitome of a C grade in funny), but he's always come off likeable and never malicious in anyway. He just really needs to get that fake laughing under control, and give his studio audience a break because he overwork the shit out of them. Compared to the rest of the Snake's den that is "late nite television" he might be the only likeable one left(does Leno still do late nite? Him, Fallon and Conan are the only one's worth a damn, the rest could all be lined up to a firing squad for their war crimes against comedy)
There used to be a show in England called TV Burp & the host Harry Hill used to do it multiple times per episode, and I loved it. I'm guessing Scott has never seen it but I'm glad he's carrying on the torch.
Scott reenacting the anticipation and dread of whether his clip was going to appear had me laughing harder at a TH-cam video than I have in a very long time.

It's the most i've laughed SINCE Craig.
@Megan Chambers
This is why I think Seth, Amber, and John Oliver nailed the late night host scene throughout the pandemic, and it’s surprising they still doesn’t have an audience despite their colleagues like Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert (as of this week, Colbert had his show on the theater with a full audience, but the audience is fully vaccinated) having an audience.
Scott has literally done everything
Except hopefully not drugs 😎
@@-Teague- good point
And I'm sitting here having done literally nothing significant
He has done a weed before. He took a lie detector test about it.
When young scott was out in -17 degrees he should've known, its a beautiful day to stay inside
The little waddle back to the computer was precious 🤣🤣🤣
Scott, your videos are always super fun and I can tell you put a lot of effort into them. You keep doing right by you, and we’ll keep enjoying them. Don’t stress too much about other creators and drama.
this dude has had the most interesting life ive ever heard of, how
Seriously!!!
And as a North Dakotan too
Got respect for the Utah people. Getting subway and then hiking up to Delicate arch with it doesn't sound fun. 😄
Especially that really steep uphill section.
I can assure you, it's not.
@@chxrlix Well I've never hiked with a subway sandwich in my hand. I just seem to remember needing my hands to steady myself on one section of that hike.
As someone from Utah I would’ve just taken it in front of the SL temple or something
Someday, our Scotty boy will get his much deserved credit🤠
The only thing worse than Jared Fogle being in the video is the fact that everyone cheers when his part comes
"Aaron Hernandez absolutely KILLING out there!"
😳
Scott--if this story had turned out any other way, I wouldn’t have believed it. And I promise you, that’s a compliment lol
Scott, you’re the wholesomest dude I know and I love you.
scott is the only youtuber to make me consistently laugh with every upload, this video was so hilarious lmaoo
I too was on Jimmy Fallon. During the Black Friday of 2016, there was a segment comparing the US and Canada on how our Black Friday etiquette compared.
RIGHT AT THE PART WHERE THEY SING “SUUUUUBS ACROSS AMERICAAAAAAAA” 🦅 this is my favorite story time ever
At least you weren't the Maryland girl wearing a ray rice jersey
It’s sad, but I thought I was going crazy when :
A. Took 2 years for TH-cam to recommend your channel. I subscribe to the usuals: Cody/Jarvis/kurtis/etc
B. After finally finding you, it felt like you did a lot of the same topics first
Your intro kind of confirmed what I thought :(
“Boredom is a crime, right?”
And apathy’s a tragedy, yes.
7:20 I can’t imagine how lit up that Fargo movie theater was when they were showing the film Fargo.
Yeah it's strange, I've been watching every video you post for like a year at this point but the last 2-3 just didn't show up in the feed. Def going back to them after I finish this, but idk.
Love the vids Scott!
Seeing the clip of in the ad made me feel the same way as when the character in a movie wins the big game
Anybody remember when Subway sued the CBC because they showed that their chicken is like 50% corn by-product?
Sued AND lost lmao
It makes me believe the tuna thing more
I didn’t know about that. Wow!
Lmfao and they lost too 😭 “well, IS it 50% corn byproduct?” “… shut up nerd”
@@teasp00ns don’t remember exactly if it was that but a significant amount, I’d recommend googling something like “CBC Marketplace Subway” (the show was called marketplace). Cheers
the bo burnham references are literally so awesome
well well look who's inside, and boredom is a crime? were there more I missed?
The fact you did the ad in another color so that I could easily skip it was a chad move
Late night with jimmy fallon was amazing. i had just gotten a dvr and i never missed an ep. he used to do this bit occasionally during the monologue where hed start talking directly at the camera to a stoner named jeremy.... classic
eddy - dad
gus - crazy uncle
Jarvis - older brother
scott - fav cousin
“Aaron Hernandez absolutely KILLING out there” please tell me it was intentional lmaooo😭
Commenting for the algorithm and sorry about people using your ideas without credit. You’re a gem 💎
This is one of the best videos you ever made Scott. Only solidified my belief that you’re the best creator on this site.
3:33 when i hear this I immediately thought of "could i interest you in anything all of the time, a little bit of everything all of the time, apathys a tragedy and bordom is a crime, anything and everything all of the time" which is wierdly on topic for where my thoughts usually go.
You told that story so well!! I was so sucked into it and laughing like crazy!
There’s also a giant Buffalo closer to Fargo in Jamestown North Dakota, we don’t just have a giant cow.
I think the Odd1sOut has you beat for the unofficial subway spokesperson.
Sooubway*
Why can't there be unofficial subway spokespeople?
Scotty, collab with Kurtis Conner cause I feel like both of you have a similar sense of humor and you guys together will literally break TH-cam because it’ll be the single most hilarious cross over ever.
I appreciate your effort for making new content as often as you do while maintaining great quality.
I love your channel and I love your videos and I’m from India so I can’t really afford to pay for the patreon content cause my country’s economy is literal shite but I watch all your videos regularly and most if not all of them are so repeat-watch worthy.
I love your channel man and I’m sorry you’re not getting the credit you RIGHTLY deserve for some great niche out of the box ideas.
You’re amazing and funny and kind and creative.
WOAH! You're telling me the guy from that Subs Across America commercial made a TH-cam channel!? This is so cool!!
Only real ones understood “well, well, look who’s inside again” 😎
And boredom is a crime
Went out to look for a reason to hide again
I was looking for this comment
So come out with your hands up we've got you surrounded
I finished it in my head and then we completely surprised when he actually said it
Scott, Danny and Kurtis on the same day!
I appreciate your parents taking your dream seriously and actually helping you guys make the video correctly. A+ parenting, that's just lovely
Love that this video was basically Scott's TTI.
But I also, strangely enough, loved the unintentional "shoot your shot" message from this too.
Holy shit your brother Greg was on Jimmy Fallon!? That's awesome!
The combination of crippling anxiety with an insatiable need to be on tv is just internal torture for Scott I assume
Honestly deleted my Twitter a few weeks ago after one of your videos -so thanks for that. Barely notice it’s gone.
For some reason you always post a new video whenever I find myself having to eat in my car. So you’ve now become my official entertainer of mealtime.
i love the bo burnham references throughout the video
