Glad to have followed the process of saving this very simple, reliable and enjoyable car. New cars just have no character anymore too many computers controlling everything. Congratulations on the clean and simple great car.

While it may have been “cheap” to purchase and repair, a golden era rust free civic is quite valuable.

the wheels look great but sadly it's even smaller than the stock 14" steel wheels. The 13" it has on will likely affect the speedometer accuracy. Honda has a lifetime warranty on seatbelts. I got mine replaced for free recently.

I think you're mistaking the wheels with the 13" VX that come on the eg's. The wheels he has are the HX that come on the 6th gen civic aka ek's that are 14".. I have them also on my EJ1. HX won't fit the EJ1 do to the bigger brake caliper in front but will fit other models..

These are 14” HX wheels from an EK. I used the tire calculator to get this setup as close to the stock numbers as possible, I think I’m 1% off but the shorter sidewall makes up for the extra 1” in diameter from the OEM 13” steelies.
Thanks for reminding me about the seatbelts btw! Had an EF Si hatch a decade ago that got the free belt treatment - if I have the time and patience to deal with the dealer I’ll book an appointment soon. Thanks for watching as always!

The mismatched paint is the worst.

What size are the back speakers you got? I need replacement for mine.
I agree you slitely payed a bit to much for a non runing civic but still not a bad deal. Car is coming out great. I pretty much did the same to my EJ1 from engine work to suspension and wheels. For my liking i would lower it a little. Other than that im also running everything stock including the radio. I need to go in to face 2 as well and tackle the bushings.. but i pick up a non runing civic wagon for $500 and got side tracked. But im done with the wagon. I got $2500 in the wagon to get it fix and running. Now back to the ej which i might go a different way now. Probably "sports car" 🤔..

The rear speakers are 6.5”. You’ll need some plastic adapter rings to get them to fit in the OEM oblong size holes or end up drilling the speakers like I did. Nice to hear your progress on your projects as well! Thanks for watching 🙌🏻
