    You should list the price of the parts you swapped. ECU is more or less 300 and knuckle is another 300. Thats a significant cost if you didnt have those.

      Most people are probably not going to have a whole set of rims or an ECU lying around. Also it would be suspect if he "just happened" to have all the spare parts ready for any problems he has yet to find on any other cars he buys and flips. I think on this one he got lucky those were the only noticeable issues.

      @@AzwadAnjumIslam in theory, 11 days ago he had at least $2,005 in his bank account. He spent $2,005 dollars over 11 days to make $4,500 dollars. HE now has $4,500 in his bank account... this is not triple his money, he did not triple his money by any measure.

      Not a fair assumption considering he could've sold the wheels, knuckle and ecu. All parts off a car can be sold for the right price and condition. Probably made around 500$ realistic profit

    I sold my car WAY too cheap. Luckily I wasn’t trying to flip it for profit. Listed it for $2,750, sold it an hour later for $2,250. The guy that bought it listed it about 30 minutes later for $4,250 and sold it that same day. 2005 Accord V6 with 329k miles. It had every factory option, and I upgraded the radio with a 10” touchscreen with Apple CarPlay. Car was super clean inside with only a single 2” tear in the leather on the driver bolster. Outside had typical clear coat fade and a crack on the front bumper. Mechanically sound, I had replaced the power steering pump and rack, new suspension bushing all the way around, new brakes, new tires, all new gaskets on the engine. Didn’t leak or burn a drop of oil. Honestly was a really good car, aside from the mileage. I had about $3k into it altogether and drove it for a few years🤷‍♂️

  • @ydin9
    @ydin9 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Always, always count the costs of those parts even if you think they aren't worth it to the final with the labor hours so you know exactly if you made profit or not. Not doing so devalues your labor and existing stock. I hate when people use the term flip, unless you just spit shined it and sold it to a better buyer, it's not really a flip. This also devalues the work put it. You made a profit by putting in the work and got compensated fairly, depending on how you rate your work to begin with - that is a great skill put to work. The buyer also got a good deal because he paid for that work not to be done in a shop or his own time.

    Not adding the cost of the wheels and knuckle is not realistic. I bet even aftermarket those parts are about 400-500. So realistically probably closer to 1800. Then there is the time you spent on it which states your labor rate. Looks like you spent 20 hours of labor if it is 10 days. Meaning 90 dollars an hour except you had help so let’s raise it it 30 hours. So 60 dollars an hour. You also have to pay tax on your sale in Illinois so you will have lost another 300 bringing you to 50 dollars an hour. That is still great for hobby work.

    bro how did u get that for 1500

  • @georgerenolds859
    @georgerenolds859 ปีที่แล้ว

    the parts that you had and put on like HONDADATA iacv spindle wheels and what not is easily over 800$ and theres no way someone is going to find a ek hatch let alone that is already swapped with a gsr trans too for 1500 maybe 4/5 years and also your going to make people think they can just buy and sell cars when you dont say how to do it legally and also if you was someone who had no skills or space or tools and you paid someone to do this work for the time you spent 2 weeks so roughly 336 hours you sleep for half that and lets say you work 6 hours a day on your car for 2 weeks thats over 100 hours roughly you would be owing money if you accounted for time and labor

    $4500/2005 = 2.24x. Not counting your hourly labour costs. Great side hustle. Not quite triple.

    Not including those 2 parts because you already had them doesn’t add up to making more money. You didn’t double your money at all. But you made some money and had fun. Be real.

    This video is SO misleading. You don't even account for TWO significant things you installed: wheels/tires and the s300! Thats $700 unaccounted for, on the LOW side!
    IACV/knuckle, meh. Those can be found easily enough, but the wheels/ECU should be accounted for!

You bought it cheap and sold it to a dude for 2k more. Uhh okay with the work and fees you put into it. The star of the show is your friend, selling you it for so cheap.

    I'm mean that's fair but the rims and tires were a $400 sale for sure so that should be included. Sounds to me like the State was the real winner in this who deal as they did zero work and made 20% of what you paid for it!
