    You should list the price of the parts you swapped. ECU is more or less 300 and knuckle is another 300. Thats a significant cost if you didnt have those.

    Hey that’s crazy, my friend just sent me this video! I sold that car to Daniel a little over a year ago! Looks like he didn’t change much after I sold it to him. Very cool I got to see this. Funny fact I bought that car for $300 and swapped it before I swapped and boosted my ek sedan! Let me know if the buyer does send you some updated pictures of the body work gets done that would be cool to see the history live on 🙏

  • @ydin9
    @ydin9 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    Always, always count the costs of those parts even if you think they aren't worth it to the final with the labor hours so you know exactly if you made profit or not. Not doing so devalues your labor and existing stock. I hate when people use the term flip, unless you just spit shined it and sold it to a better buyer, it's not really a flip. This also devalues the work put it. You made a profit by putting in the work and got compensated fairly, depending on how you rate your work to begin with - that is a great skill put to work. The buyer also got a good deal because he paid for that work not to be done in a shop or his own time.

  • @salamancadingding
    @salamancadingding ปีที่แล้ว +179

    You paid $1500. Your net was $2495. Not exactly tripling your money, but nice work nonetheless. Having spare parts laying around and being handy helps. Good stuff 👍👍👍

    • @AzwadAnjumIslam
      @AzwadAnjumIslam ปีที่แล้ว +10

      He had 1500, 11 days later he had 4500. If you keep the misc cost out (hence the use of “basically” in the video) he went pretty close to tripling his money

    • @ramrod19

      Most people are probably not going to have a whole set of rims or an ECU lying around. Also it would be suspect if he "just happened" to have all the spare parts ready for any problems he has yet to find on any other cars he buys and flips. I think on this one he got lucky those were the only noticeable issues.

    • @Juskemper12

      @@AzwadAnjumIslam in theory, 11 days ago he had at least $2,005 in his bank account. He spent $2,005 dollars over 11 days to make $4,500 dollars. HE now has $4,500 in his bank account... this is not triple his money, he did not triple his money by any measure.

    i like to buy old d series hondas with blown head gaskets, rough idles, and automatic transmissions, i find them for 5-800 dollars all day. helps if you can find a vtec model too. honda guys will pay nicely for a well done manual swap and you can get all the parts for less than 400 dollars. also a head gasket job on these little single cams takes a few hours tops. detail interior and clean up the engine bay and you got a 3000 dollar car from a 600 dollar car after a weekend of work (or less, i just picked up a sedan for 450 with idle issues)

    Oh man, if one day I get a job in USA or Canada I'm definitely going to get one of these older Civics, I dream of getting the coupe version from 1995 to 2000. I currently have the 2000 lx model here in Brazil, and I love it so much.. Sadly even old civics are hard to maintain, the newer ones is just for people who get a decent money per month.. Seeing used civics for less than 3.000$ is crazy, here in Brazil with 3.000R$ you cant even buy a running decent car.

    As a mitsu fan, i always get confused when ppl say gsr and then show a honda engine lol

    Question? Did you swap the ecu back out after getting it to run right? If not you didn't include that as an expense and for those of us who don't have an ecu with hondata laying around that could be a major hiccup or $$$$ into the flip. Not to mention it's one part you had laying around that definitely has some value.

      Maybe I'm not understanding your comment, but he did mention not putting a price on things he already had.

      @@D0mSupra Which really makes no sense in terms of someone wanting to do what he did(flip a car for "big" profit). Not everyone will have those things laying around. At some point the things he had cost him something...

    Best way to flip and make money, have all the parts from a previous car so it technically doesn't count as spending money. If he had to buy the parts he needed we might not have seen this video

    Are you floating titles? How are you changing title hands so fast?

      You can ask the dmv to expedite the title delivery for an extra fee. It will come within 1-3 business days.
