Everything in the front pocket is what I carry on me in the pockets of my jeans . I also carry my EDC. I think I’ll stick with the pants, but thank you for the video
Thats the oposite of low viz. As soon as I see a crossbody bag I automatically assume firearm, such a setup is prevalent here in the NYC metro area. Shoulder bag fits in much more as a previous commenter said.
Ive been bouncing back fourth between the m-tac and 945 industries bags. Still feel like appendix is better for concealment but its hell if doing a bunch of sit/stand situations. I guess it all depends on the situation and what feels right for you.
I have the mtac bag. The one that’s like $30. For 1/3 of the price I really like it. Tons of pockets and for my firearm, my concealed holster for my gun attaches to the loops inside the firearm pouch.
Nice. I had a dandy of a time trying to figure out the holster situation. In the end, I scrapped the ones in the fanny pack and used the 5.11 hook and loop holster. Man, that solved all the problems. This fanny pack reminds me of g shock watches. The entire item could be fantastic, then they throw a crappy wristband in the mix, or in this case, two useless holsters, some flap that is suppose to cover your weapon and a cheap waist strap 🤣😂😂. Back to his EDC set up. I am not sure how or what he is using this fanny pack for, but I'm only using it while in workout clothes or while running errands and stuff in jeans and a T. In my opinion, just because you can put a full size hand cannon in this pack, does not mean you should. I don't carry my primary weapon in this pack, I carry my secondary, which is a compact. I also don't think this is meant to hold a tourniquet or a med kit. In reality, this is not a chest rig. It's a fanny pack meant to hold a few items so you can get through the day while ensuring you can comfortably carry your firearm. I simply roll with my keys, wallet, phone and the inside is used for conceal carry. Now for the positives. It really is high quality and comfortable (if it is not over packed). The fanny pack is concealed enough under my shirt, not to cause attention while I am in sweats and a T or jeans and a T. It flattens out to some extent, even with the cell phone in place. I've tried fanny packs in the past and immediately threw them away after the first time I went in public with them. People would look at it and I felt embarrassed. I was prepared to trash this one too, but I didn't. This one is more natural and does not draw attention. It flattens out and naturally follows the contort of your body. For those with judgement and dissertion, there is a "time for everything". A time for wearing a holster, a time for wearing IWB, a time to wear a chest rig, a time to carry a back pack and yes, a time to wear a fanny pack. I think the trick is to not lock yourself into only one way of carrying and not falling into the trap of thinking that all of the different methods must do the same thing. I think the commentator was trying to briefly touch on this at the end of the video, but by no means did he do this crucial topic any justice. It should be the main topic of the video. Now, do I believe he is wearing this fanny pack everyday to work? Not calling him a liar, but he may be struggling with truth telling on this one. If he is actually carrying this to work everyday, he needs to refer back to my "time for everything" monologue. I know your not asking, but I am going to tell you anyways. I would like to see the "holsters" being scrapped along with that orange highlighted cover (it changes the contour of the pack when being used because it is too stiff) and one of the holster carriers. These items need to be replaced with something closer to the 5.11 hook and loop holster. Next, get rid of the zipper on the inside of the pack along with anything that is highlighter orange. Are you trying to punk us with this or something? Lastly, do something about that nylon waist strap. Add some type of padding or something either on the sides and back, or something to that effect. The cheap plastic clip appears to be what every fanny pack maker puts on them, however I have faith you can come up with a better idea. Overall, it appears you were on the right track to develop a comfortable on the go carry conceal fanny pack, then someone got into your head and you succumbed to ideas from people who would never ever wear this thing 🧐. Then you have people trying to adapt to it by making it into a chest rig or back pack or something. Go back to the basics and do a better job explaining to people what this is intended for. Maybe they won't continue to put hand cannons and med kits in this thing! I'm shocked he didn't try to figure out a way to get that battle ax into the fanny pack next to his flashlight, JK, jk, jk. Good job on the over all design, one of the inside extra clip holder, front padding, front zipper and phone holder. Remember, less is sometimes more and more is sometimes less. You would do good to go with less on this pack. If you do, I will buy it.
Thanks for such a detailed review! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and thoughts on the fanny pack. It's great to hear it's working out under certain conditions, and your feedback on the design elements is invaluable. We're always looking to improve, so suggestions like yours help us a lot. We have a few tweaks in the works already for an updated version that hits on some of your concerns already. Thanks again for your support and suggestions!
I liked EDC waist bag from 5.11. But recently they have come up with an update and I really don’t like the internal space layout. Just 3 pockets without space partition, no organisers, nothing. Are your pockets divided in any way? Cheers
Hey! We have a partition in the middle that hides separates the holster area and the pockets/zipper area. We have a few videos on our channel that give a in depth walk through on them. Heres a link that shows the partition. th-cam.com/video/Apf9g50bSfg/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared&t=132
You have your gun on a bag... that's not a fast draw whenever you need to draw it. But you're carrying one in the chamber because of speed of action....
A regular shoulder bag is a great choice for blending in. Everyone's EDC should suit their personal style and needs. As Torrey mentioned he carries different bags for different situations depending on what he's doing that day. What’s in your optimal shoulder bag setup?
@SheepdogResponse A main full size gun with a TLR1, maybe an extra clip, tourniquet, multi tool or knife. Thats it. Wallet on my personal, so if someone tries to take the bag, I have the wallet. Depending on the area or day where I'm going, I carry a S&W Model 49 j frame or an LCP for that reason too. Leather bag that people think is for fashion all the time. Most of the time, just one gun on me. Always trained, that you should always blend in. I don't do nylon ever, unless it says Adidas or something like that. There's a different between it looking outdoorsy and tactical.
No no, that's too obvious, they would be looking for someone that is blending in with everyone. What they need is a bag like this in neon colors to stand out. Bad guys will never suspect the guy wearing a pink fanny pack.
Nothing screams "I am not carrying" like an overstuffed man purse. People know if you have a man bag, you are carrying. First thing a criminal will want it your loot bag. Then what are you going to do with your gun being taken? Not trying to be mean, just real.
off-body carry just always seems like a sub-optimal solution. There's also virtually nothing low-vis about this. At least in America. In Europe a man carrying a bag like this might be normal enough to not catch an eye. It's so high-vis here you might catch comments about it. If i see a burly dude wearing that bag across his chest, i am going to assume it's got a gun in it.
You're right, off-body carry and the visibility of bags can be context-specific and might not work for everyone everywhere. It largely depends on the area and scenario. Do you have a preferred carry method that feels optimal for you?
@@SheepdogResponse For me, appendix works well with the right gun. It doesn't get in the way of anything, i can get it with both hands, it doesn't print, i can even get at it easy under a seat belt. I would just be so worried about the bag with my everything in it getting snatched.
Awesome type of vids i want to see. I just wish in 2024 youtube would stop explaining us the title name we just clicked on for one minute, and regarding edc if only we could skip the iphone / wallet keys it would be so magic 😂 i would love to see more edc vids like thay tho 🙏🏼🫰🏼
What essential item do you think Torrey should add to his EDC that wasn’t featured in the video?
A back up knife.
I would add a small charger.
Chito XR gauze. Loved this, and loved mine! Have the 509c T in mine though.
Yeah true
Always good to go through your EDC and look to improve what you carry and what you leave behind.
thanks for sharing, always good to check to see which items others carry to optimize my edc
Great video. I carry the Vertx SOCP
This is by far my favorite go to bag when I head out.
6:30 Torrey, which competitions do you shoot? The last reference of you at a match in Practiscore is in 2021.
Great information! I’d love to see a similar video for the ladies since we have different needs when it comes to essentials and size of firearms.
QVO tactical does this with a Velcro kydex panel.
great video!

What kind of leather crossbody do you use Torrey
It's the sheepdog response Low Viz waistpack

The M-Tac is nice……. Until it begins to unravel and fall apart ( just my experience)

There's too much fluff in there. All you really need is a pistol, a knife, and 8-10 full magazines in case something pops off
Been curious about this for a while. My Costanza wallet isn't helping

Tell Torrey to get a damn dot. 😅
Enjoy the debate about the “what kinda bag to carry” while you can cause, we can’t even carry a “water gun” up here. Your brother from Canada 😉
Sounds like Canada can use a little Murica style freedom 😎
@@CheetoDust365 what is that? 😁
NEVER OFF BODY CARRY!
That's absolutely ridiculous. Pick a regular shoulder bag that blends in with everyone else. And fix it the way you want it.

Austin is a different place. Lots of Fanny packs everywhere.
There’s a lot wrong with your logic but criminals generally look for easy targets.
