    We just broke down some of our favorite off-body carry options! What’s your go-to gear for everyday carry?

    I got and use the Viktos sling bag everyday. It’s more comfortable than appendix carry, has pockets for extra mags, wallet, phone, and sunglasses at the top zip section. I prefer appendix with a rig for ultimate stealth but these bags are great alternatives for easy carry! 😃🇺🇸

      Viktos has awesome gear and their CCW bags are definitely up there in quality and usability.

      Same here. Both my wife and I use the Viktos bags for our EDC, especially here in the South where the humidity makes cover garments not an option.

      Also the 3a panel inside it. I love not scratching up my stuff to, putting med kit inside, knife, and extra ammo. All in one kit.

    Due to my line of work (Auto Tech) I can't carry on person all day so I use a eberlestock fanny that is either around my waist or in a drawer of my tool box which is always arms reach away. Only carry appendix if i'm not working. In my truck I currently keep an SMC Bravo, micro plate setup, & full medical in a 5.11 rush backpack that i've had for years but have been eyeing the upscale Xl for more low vis and wasn't sure if it'll hold my SMC and after seeing the Flux fit I may order one. There is a lack of videos on what fits in the upscale XL.

    Off-body carry is convenient and comfortable. I have children so I have a bag with me anyways. I carry a full-size in there but I also carry appendix. Gotta protect the bag too.

    Very solid video on this topic, appreciate y'all covering it! I've been using the Viktos Upscale XL for the last couple of years now, every day for CCW/trauma and EDC gear. I've also taken it on the occasional out of state/out of country trip where I repack it with travel-approved gear. Despite having chucked this thing around pretty heavy it's remained intact, although I have long since rubbed off the VIKTOS branding on the outside. It's fairly discreet, I've taken it with me to the HEB in my neighborhood every time I go to the grocery store with absolutely no issues at all. There are times I tend to overstuff it with trauma and medical gear a bit, and I'm thinking of moving to the Viktos Counteract CCW messenger bag for that purpose.

    Viktos sling bag allows middle of the night disturbance to be met with naked man ready to go. The viktos slingbag shoulder strap sucks. Itd be cool if they used qd mounts so we could add a sling to it. Hiking with a thicker strap would be nice.

    My main concern with this is, no fanny pack is low-viz anywhere in America. Especially strapped to a guy that looks like the host (the antithesis of low viz, no offense). Europe, sure, significantly more common. That with there being so many other cons with off-body carry, i'm still not sold. If carrying all day is difficult or uncomfortable, get a different holster, or perhaps a different gun. fanny packs sure are great for holding loose shotgun shells, though.

      I think it's more dependent on where you're located in the US. In coastal areas especially tourist areas with beaches Fanny packs can be pretty common.

      I tell them It has my wallet and keys. Oh and of course, my Chapstick! If its a police officer asking me directly if I have a firearm then a simple "yes I do". In Texas its legal to conceal carry.

      That would still be considered off body carry.

    Quite frankly, I know that basically any guy carrying a bag like this is carrying a pistol with him. Might as well just open carry.

    • @SheepdogResponse
      @SheepdogResponse  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It really depends on where you’re located in the U.S. I agree that in some areas, seeing a guy with a fanny pack or crossbody bag might be an obvious sign he's carrying. But in many larger cities, it’s pretty common for people to use fanny packs or sling bags for everyday items, making it less suspicious.
