It keeps bothering me that people keep complaining there are so few SAKs with a Philips head screwdriver. Since I got my first SAK at age 6 or 7, I was taught by my father and grandpa to use the can opener screwdriver (that almost all larger SAKs have) for the Philips heads and not once has it let me down. Not once. Yes, you may slip a little easier and you need to be careful when applying your force, but it ALWAYS got the job done.
Thanks for this, Taylor. Three things that really resonated with me. 1) Immediately started down a propolis rabbit hole on PubMed, and this is NOT a drill! Thank you for that! 2) Knipex rules. 3) Pouches are my life savers. I don't put ANYTHING nekkid in a bag anymore. I have found sinple tool pouches of various sizes extremely useful.
The honey stuff has been used for thousands of years for wound treatment. Honey is one of the few superfoods and one of the very few things in nature that never spoils. Love the gear, I wish I could afford more of it. Have fun camping 🏕️
Thanks for freely showing that those Firefly toothpick fire starter things break extremely easily. I went through like three of them before one actually held up long enough to give sparks, they just snap right in half.
Watching the video further, I can confirm on the effectiveness of the Propolis stuff. It has highly anti-inflammatory properties as well. Another natural "wondercure" that I swear by is Tea Tree Oil. I always have a small bottle around somewhere and as you usually need only a few drops per application, they last quite a while. - It helps to prevent mosquito bites and if they bit you, it helps reduce the itching. I can imagine it will do the same for bee or wasp stings. (Can't tell as I have never been stung by those.) - Applied to superficial cuts, scrapes and bruises it prevents inflammation or makes it go away on VERY short notice and makes such cuts heal within 2-3 days. - It also helped me with rashes, when I put 10-15 drops into my bath water. - On vacation, the appartment I was in had an "ant highway" running through it. After trying all kinds of commercial ant repellants and poisons without success (they kept coming back), the problem was solved almost immediately when I dripped the oil onto the entrance doorstep. Seems the ants can't stand the smell. I had to do that for 2-3 days to finally permanently "divert" the highway. However, from what I read, Tea Tree Oil is not for everyone: some can't stand the smell and others have allergic reactions to it, so your mileage may vary.
That time I thought I was thinking ahead/saving space by carrying a multitool, only to realize it can only do one thing at a time. Now I have more tools again. That said, Im thinking the multitool is the perfect one tool option if you only need one.
I bought this after one of your other videos and it’s been really handy at keeping some of my extra gear on me without crowding my pockets. I bought the Velcro inserts from Amazon however.
Great observation with the separate knipex and Swiss army knife for being able to do 2 things at once! Made me think of one of the benefits of the GOAT tools multitool! (That thing is awesome if you ever get a chance to check one out)
I recently asked Leatherman about the rachet extension. They said it is not discontinued and are working on dialing in a new manufacturer to ensure quality. They didn't give a timeline for when they would be restocked but they are committed to making them.
Dealbreaker for me is if the strap is smaller than 1.5 inches. Anything smaller is just not comfortable when the bag is packed. I wont mention the name of the brand but a popular sling bag nailed it w their straps being wide
9:28 I’ve never been in a situation where there was a nut on one end and a Phillips on the other… a nut and bolt head yes(meaning the need for a plier and bit driver with hex bits aka ratchet )….but what on earth uses a loose nut AND a Phillips head screw?
I’ve definitely needed a screwdriver and a wrench in the same moment plenty of times. Craftsman toolboxes is just one that comes to mind. Philips head screws and a nut for attaching the casters. I couldn’t fit a normal wrench in the tiny space and actually ended up using the alligator wrench on a TPT lol
Some really cool items here. Very interested in the Propolis Tincture but that link doesn’t go to the product and I can’t find it on the web. Don’t suppose you have a direct link?
He doesn’t sell it online because it’s mostly isopropyl in the bottle and can’t be shipped that way. But you can DM him on IG or FB and see what he can put together
I'm new to the EDC game. Can someone tell me what to search for if I want to go to one of these trade shows where there's dozens of set ups of people selling cool stuff?
Maybe I live by the “rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it” mantra a bit too much. My EDC pouch had a SAK cyber tool, leatherman charge Ti and the knipex cobra 125(5”)
I can see the logic of the knipex and the Swiss Army knife, I go with the alternate of a SAK and a leatherman, now granted if I’m out and about there is a spare leatherman in a toolbox in my vehicles trunk and I have a potential secondary tool. Also the sak tends to be less intimidating when I need to open a box or cut food when I’m around city slickers. 😂 10:23
Depends. If it's a real man carrying it, you can call it a fanny pack and be comfortable with it but if it's someone like this guy with supple A cups and a confused sexuality who likes hanging out with bearded guys, call it a bum bag.
Propolis is awesome stuff, but I typically carry some tea tree oil - it's generally easier to come by and less expensive, works SO well. Great for injuries, sweat/heat rash, etc.
I see these are sold out on your site, and blue ridge overland gear is limited on their options, are there any plans to release this version again in the near future? If so, when?
Can someone tell me the name of the Apple Watch case he was using in one of his video? It was army/green Casio g shock rugged looking case. I forgot what is called. Much appreciated if someone can tell me it.
Great review. I personal use the 'RovyVon Angle Eyes e8' Flashlight Has a strong 700l LED light that uses a lipo battery, but also support and extra AAA battery as backup. Comes with a clip that also sticks to a hat bill for POV lighting. Also some with blacklight which in sothern states is nice to have for scorpions.
Are you going to have a table at bladeshow? Would love to swing by and grab some merch, as I fully want to support your channel. Couldn't find it on the vendor list, but also don't know what I'm looking for.
Generic advice: Don't plan put off or wait, just do it no better time than now. Non Generic Advice: What you don't do now feels worse later even if it feels like nothing happened.
You probably know this, but the SAK Fieldmaster is just like the Huntsman, except it substitutes the Phillips driver for the corkscrew. A much better deal in my view.
There is the geek side of me that can't get enough of this stuff...(Great Channel by the way). Then there is the smart ass side of me visualizing.... a Cartman EDC Southpark Episode. Bum bag? , if that's the English term for butt, remember it was one joke that ruined the entire rollerblading industry.
Ok am I the only one that thinks the bags on the back of the donkey looks like an upside down ………….”package”, sorry Taylor great video but I can’t unsee it
i was watching your site earlier in the day and totally missed it that evening! hopefully ill catch it next time. looks super handy and minimal. love the look and how modular it is. hopefully youll bring it back before too long!

Same here 😂 I’ve stripped more Phillips heads using a half ass bit than the flat head

I’d like to see an ultralight edc setup with summer coming up
Is this not ultralight? If not, what weight limit and size is ultralight?
Wait so which table at Blade Show will you be at?
Thanks for freely showing that those Firefly toothpick fire starter things break extremely easily. I went through like three of them before one actually held up long enough to give sparks, they just snap right in half.
which side are you striking it? Its recommended to use the shorter side since its thicker
@@natef1212 Face up, with the fingernail grabber facing skyward.
@@ModusOperandom yeah, use the other side. its smaller but thicker
Thats why i use the leatherman ratchet driver and the letherman pliers! No need for the extra weight or tools taking up space.

Will the CC Bum bag return or is it a one time product? I saw it earlier today and was thinking about buying one and 2 hours later they are sold out.

Is that a bottle of Old Forester 1910 or 1920, barely in the shot, top left corner?
Cool vid. What table will you be at?
Dealbreaker for me is if the strap is smaller than 1.5 inches. Anything smaller is just not comfortable when the bag is packed. I wont mention the name of the brand but a popular sling bag nailed it w their straps being wide
Is it worn like you see it in the video? Like a purse? Or more like a messenger bag?
9:28 I’ve never been in a situation where there was a nut on one end and a Phillips on the other… a nut and bolt head yes(meaning the need for a plier and bit driver with hex bits aka ratchet )….but what on earth uses a loose nut AND a Phillips head screw?

I carry an SAK Ranger model knife and needle nose vise grips instead of a multi tool also.

@@BestDamnEDC awesome thank you!
The Fanny pack has been elevated, quite literally.
the knipex and swiss army makes sense however you can just keep the leatherman bit extender on you and take it off to use it seperatly.
An awesome run down of what you're carrying.
Some ideas I already and others I want to explore. Just as it should be.
Thanks for sharing.
I'm new to the EDC game. Can someone tell me what to search for if I want to go to one of these trade shows where there's dozens of set ups of people selling cool stuff?
Tried finding the Harden Hills Honey Propolis tincture. Can’t find it for sale. Not even on their website. Any idea where I can pick it up?
You’d have to message them on Facebook or IG to ask. Since it has isopropyl, shipping it is a tricky thing.
Could not justify $30 + on the Knipix pliers but had the same issue, got a 4” Crescent brand crescent wrench and 4” pliers. Thanks for the video
Trust me it’s worth it. $30 for tools that will last four lifetimes is definitely worth your money. I use mine all the time.
I just received mine. What are people using as a keep for the strap? It's the only gripe I have.
Maybe I live by the “rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it” mantra a bit too much. My EDC pouch had a SAK cyber tool, leatherman charge Ti and the knipex cobra 125(5”)
How many bit driver kits and knives and flashlights do you need? Why no first aid kit?
I can see the logic of the knipex and the Swiss Army knife, I go with the alternate of a SAK and a leatherman, now granted if I’m out and about there is a spare leatherman in a toolbox in my vehicles trunk and I have a potential secondary tool. Propolis is awesome.
You should do a video of Jordan’s EDC bum bag. I wear a bum bag everyday and I’m curious what other people carry that carry bum bags everyday
I thought you guys called it a fanny pack?
Depends. If it's a real man carrying it, you can call it a fanny pack and be comfortable with it but if it's someone like this guy with supple A cups and a confused sexuality who likes hanging out with bearded guys, call it a bum bag.
will it fit a g19
Where do you get your patches?
Just bought the Titanium Pocket Strong Box With Loop - Gen 2 I have been looking for something like that for a time now …. Thanks Tyler
Bought it last week when it dropped and it gets delivered today 🎉
Propolis is awesome stuff, but I typically carry some tea tree oil - it's generally easier to come by and less expensive, works SO well. Great for injuries, sweat/heat rash, etc.
I just wanted to say that you are looking jacked these days. You have clearly put in a lot of work and it’s paying off.
Thank you! I’m trying lol
Where can i but the bum bag? And what’s the name of it?
Just ordered mine. Can't wait to get it.
From which website did you buy the bag?
I was interested in that magnus thing too, never thought it’s just a blade holder… damn, why making a blade holder like that, a overkill
Waste of $100 bucks lol
They was some very interesting stuff, especially that honey thing
I see these are sold out on your site, and blue ridge overland gear is limited on their options, are there any plans to release this version again in the near future? If so, when?

Hey there! Just curious, where did you get that wedding band of yours from? 😊
Very cute purses!! You go, Queen!!
💅🏻
Ahahahahahahaha
Will bags be back in stock??

This is a purse
😂
Yeah it is but I LOVE IT.

@@erico2079Still doesn't change the fact it's a purse😂
Fucking lol
Is this bag going to be restocked soon?
Anyone know of any alternatives to this bag in Europe? As shipping and import tax being so high it makes it a bit unappealing to buy it....

cant believe how early I got to this vid! also never thought I would see the day that fanny packs "unironically" came back into style
I carry a very high umf grade of Manuka honey. I’ve healed intense wounds with zero scarring without pharmaceutical intervention.
Just stumbled onto this video. What is your day to day like, that you need all these tiny tools?
Thanks for the mention! Great video!

It’s under Exclusive. Or Exslv.
What does no safe queen mean on the shirt?
Been loving mine since I snagged one! Stays in my center console!
Im waiting for it to be back in stock Jordan said it would be in this Tuesday oct 23 2024but it's not
Thank you for awesome videos as always.
This bag looks sick. Any plans to restock it in the shop?
Carry Commission - always sold out. cheers
Hell yeah. Started watching this at 4:58 MST and just snagged one 😂😂
Taylor you’re looking fit brother 💪 good for you! Now if only I could motivate myself

What bad are you rocking on the Apple Watch?
I got the same waxed jacket it’s my favorite
What jacket is it?
Nice job. It's nice to see a small kit. Not like some of THESE RAMBO'S that think their Rambo

Cool Fanny Pack.
I carry a leatherman surge and a knipex just in case I have two hex heads to hold on to
“No safe queens?”
means no keeping nice knives unused
This
Just ordered the bum bag.
With how full my pockets get, a small bumbag would be useful.
Sold out in 4 hours. Dang it.
What is that red handled fixed blade in the intro?
Probaly a esse knife idk
The video was excellent as well. 👍
Holly shit I have not seen your videos in a while and I would not have recognized you without the voice…. Your fitness is fucking top notch dude wow
I'm looking to spend about 1700 dollars on a coffee table. Any recommendations?
Awesome!
…and the bags are sold out! Missed them again
Damn sold out already 🥲 will there be more soon?
pro tip- leave those loyalty cards at home and add them to your google wallet or apple bam no cards to carry
Very nice >>> Thank you
You should make a shirt that says B.D.E. on it
Bag drop at 2am in europe, woke up at 5am and already sold out 😭
Taylor when can u make more of this bum bag for us?😥
This is the highroller EDC i guess :) But amazing stuff!!!
Barton Loop
I missed this drop :( Hoping for another soon-ish.
Ok am I the only one that thinks the bags on the back of the donkey looks like an upside down ………….”package”, sorry Taylor great video but I can’t unsee it
I was expecting a version of the hobo sack, not a Fanny pack carried like a sling pack. I’m so bummed out.😂
The cost of some of these items makes me stop watching the video....ya'll cray😂
i was watching your site earlier in the day and totally missed it that evening! hopefully ill catch it next time. looks super handy and minimal. love the look and how modular it is. hopefully youll bring it back before too long!
This is almost impossible to buy in the US... So imagine in europe, I think I need to find another bag
Good stuff
