Sorry, but I'm not buying their explanation. The bridge's mechanics are over 120 years old. You're telling me THIS is the first time in all those years that the temp. has reached 95 degrees?

First: WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY SCHEDULE A SHIP CROSSING THAT EFFECTS THE BRIDGE INTERRUPTING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. DO IT AT NIGHT, EARLY MORNING 1,2 AM. JUST PLAIN STUPID. AND YES THEIR EXPLANATION IS BOGUS. ALL BRIDGES ARE DESIGNED FOR EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION.

I'd be taking a permanent detour. Something is wrong with that bridge and I wouldn't want to be on it when it fails.

What a load, it's in the upper 80's and low 90's which is completely normal for July and has been this way since the bridge was built.....ONE HUNDERED AND TWENTY YEARS AGO.
