For a Casio that’s a lot of hardware, don’t forget though that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry's and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.

Those are really beautiful mods. Tho, that crown is completely unnecessary and it probably makes pushing the buttons more complicated.
Oof, that crown is enough to turn me off the mod. Make it look nice, not like something it's not. The fake crown is tacky.
You can buy the same kit without the crown 👍

That sky blue mod is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not a fan of the Casioak (I know, I'm sorry!!!) but I'm seriously considering buying one and doing that mod-just looks exceptional!!!
I'm a huge fan of the CasiOak's, (8 now) and I have modded a few. The all steel mod is my favorite and was the easiest!

I do like the aesthetics but the utilitarian in me really really hates the functionless crown.
You can now buy a case without the fake crown. Much better

Quick question... Isnt it necessary to line the hour and minute hand up at exactly 12 o'clock when replacing them?
Only asking as its one of the fundamentals when modding mechanical watches 👍
I was wondering the same thing; on a mechanical movement such as a Seiko NH35 the date is directly related to the time. On a Casio module such as this, though, setting the day/date is independent of the time. I guess you could line them up (I'm used to winding a movement to the point the date changes before I replace hands too), as it's a hard habit to break
I followed this video and modified my 2100 with full metal strap and Tiffany blue hour makers, couldn't be happier thanks so much 👍🏻

Got a gab2100 a couple of weeks ago. Still trying to find a steel bezel and bracelet kit to look like a gmb2100 not an AP. They were easy to find the equivalent for my 5610 and look great.
Bought a few fake AP's in Chinatown in KLM over the years they are my favourite next to the Victorinox Swiss Army 241758 I.n.o.x Titanium with the rubber number cover. But I think I will be getting a G-shok again very soon..
I wish the metal cases were engraved like the original!
Honestly, I like the steel mod better than the original. The screws on the bezel are cool, and I also didn't like the screw linings on the original strap.
This is so cool. I personally dislike the Royal oak (except for the bracelet). But I love the casioak! A luxury look, and it’s built to last.

Hi, I ordered the GA-B2100-3AER the wafffle dial. Would the waffle dial fit on this model? (would it affect the bluetooth and the solar charging?)
I actually purchased two kits from them because I watched your video. Even though it’s a year old. I wanted my last watch to be a Rolex yacht master 2. Unfortunately I don’t have the disposable income for it at this moment. I did a blue face GA2100 and SKXMOD SS and to say the least I don’t want the Yacht Master anymore. I have 3 Casi Oak Mods SS and a red Rubber Strap with black bezel. My yellow band like your yellow i purchased a aliexpress version and you can compare the two SKXMOD is the Ticket. So going to order another one for my yellow CasiOak 🎉❤ it makes a $100 watch look expensive and classy.
The screws are more flush than hublots 😂😂😂
I absolutely love these, I want to make my own but my wrists are too small for the 44mm, anyone know if there's modding options to create a 40mm casioak? Preferably with solar, but beggars can't be choosers
Damn!! Was looking forward to modding my GA2100 when it arrived but they upped the price on the mods. Its $160 before tax and shipping. Oh well, at least I know it can be modded. Looks sick AF.
No one has made a specific tutorial on how to put the hands back on. Is there a correct way? I see you pointed both hands towards 12, is there a specific reason for that? Wtb the tiny hand that shows weekdays? How did it return to showing the correct time and date? This always boggled me.
My thoughts exactly!
Putting the hands exactly on 12, or the hour hand on any hour and the minute hand on 12 should be a solution.
You can see he did not place the hands precisely as they should be - when the minute hand is already after 12, the hour hand is still a little before 4 (at 8:50).
I hate the fact that you have to unscrew the original case back. I got a Solar Oak because it meant I didn't need to change the battery - and it kept the watch waterproof. I know it could still be waterproof, but my preference is never to touch a running system.

Love the idea of combining the 2 but the thickness is a bit too much. If it was thinner I would definitely be interested. Nice vid.
I would buy a kit, the Full Metal one and the yellow one and just put the display from yellow into the metal one. It is more expensive this way, but it would create my ideal casioak!
Trying to set lines without a manual and got used. What does it mean when the light keeps coming on when you move the watch? Does that mean it’s in a need of a new battery or mine is defective?
Kind of the only way to know is when someone had noticed when a new battery is needed and probably doesn’t happen otherwise,

Great video. Looks like for the GAB models it's not so straightforward to mod the indices since they're stuck into the crystal unlike the GA models. Is it possible to mod the dial on the GAB?
Is there a difference in terms of the watch itself between the three different models? How's the quality of the bands? Is there a comparison video between the two?
i have 3 different GMWB5000 metal models. i like this style as well. thank u for your time showing us this. wish u could get different parts anodized so u could really customize your watch. hands, bezel, crown, u can go crazy with parts like that. again thank u

The yellow GA-B2100 conversion looks ace!!. I've ordered the exact mod kit as shown. (Silver bracelet and yellow strap combo kit). It is going to be at least a few weeks until the kit arrives. Something to look forward to!

I’m going to be modding one soon thanks to your video. Doing stainless w/rose gold accents. Also changing chapter ring, dial markers and hand, but keeping the limited edition face.

Is it practical if I buy a ga 2100 resin case and a metal mod kit? I would like to frequently swap the straps and bezels according to my outfit. So does it make sense?

I blame Seiko for this as with any major turning point in horology it seems that Seiko is always on the forefront,Seiko started modding revolution and thanks to their indestructible yet cheap 4r caliber Ali express brands have huge sale numbers but eventualy I am sure that modding scene and Ali express watch brands will hurt and destroy some legacy watch brands.

A quick little Trick to Change the World/Home time.
Set the World time in that City you want/need, go to the WT settings and Push A (Adjust) and B (light) at the same time. It Changes the World-and Home time in the analog and digital Screen.
Like the GM-W5610u :)

Alex from SKXMOD says not to take the modded watch into the water. Although the carbon core is waterproof, water will still get under the case and may stain.
