SKX Mod is great, these kits are super for what they achieve. The AI G-Shock is certainly interesting and being an only 1 watch it will probably sell and end up in a private collection. I don't think it has mass appeal.

Great! I usually swim with my regular gshock. I have 4 already and all works fine in fresh and salt water. So this kit would be a good test to its durability. Thank you
I have 4 casioak mods and want to get a new silver bracelet royal because mine has a few scratches. I really like the Skxmod gen 6 ultra, but $260 is just too much.
It is but it isn’t when you compare prices between the kit and stainless GMB Versions. For example the GA2100 goes for $99 which is on sale for $69, if you get a kit it’ll be $320 + $20 for quality tools that can be used for other watches. It’s currently discounted at $288, added together youre looking at ~$360 when discounted and $440 when not. You get a stainless steel case, bracelet, lume upgrade, fkm rubber band with pin/buckle and clasp option for the same or less than a GMB2100 which is $360 discounted and $400-600 retail. When compared to other kits sure it’s a bit more but there’s no other like it, so I’d argue you get more for your money than buying the GMB Steel versions.
I came to see the mod, but left with a new dream watch, the 18K gold AI deigned G-Shock looks fucking awesome, it is in the eye of the beholder after all...

I personally don't like your interpretation of "AI". It isn't easy to develop a full-metal skeletonized structure to achieve 10m shock resistance, and there has to be a lot of effort put into the development. The term "AI" makes all the efforts sound like a click of a button on a computer screen which is not possible in any real circumstance.
AI writing, and drawing are good enough that the public is taking notice. But 3d modeling? Infancy. The watch must be a result of extensive human design and refinement. AI probably played a small part of the design process, very likely used for drawing inspiration. It’s too bad many people just default to AI=bad. I don’t personally like this specific design. And that’s fine, anyone can have a preference. But to say that the results are bad because the use of AI and AI only is false.
As a recovering sneakerhead, I completely understand. I will not buy any models with a translucent sole due to yellowing even though the Air Jordan 5 is one of my favorites. I also worry about white soles yellowing. The same hang-up is also making me rethink where Zaratsu polishing fits in my collection.

The lume on my Seiko Tuna (300m) is legible in the dark for about 35 hours and still slightly glowing after 40 hours. Crazy lume!
They are legendary for that! My Padi Tuna is known for that too.

I supremely loathe that yellowing on my Aj 11. Just a big turn off! Which is why I stuck with the black cats and khakis.
