    Great call on getting rid of this magnetic ride. Can't use air bags, can't use helper springs and my suspension is toast at 93,000 miles. Front strut is seized and rear are not calibrating properly.. the dealer has tried calibrating twice and wants me to buy all new suspension. Thanks for the video.

      No problem brother..yeah It’s definitely the way to go..ive been running the Xineering bypass magnetic ride suspension kit for 2 years now and haven’t experienced any issues.

    how were you able to get the dealer to do the trim procedure? my dealer said they won’t do it because it was a safety issue and gmc has a policy

    Just what I was looking for dude. Awesome. Hey so what I understand is install my new setup then do the zero out thing at the dealer?? Did the dealer charge you for that dude.? I'm dying to get rid of this suspension.

    • @Builttolastdenali
      @Builttolastdenali  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pedro Echevarria yeah so they did not charge me to do it because they could not tell if the ride height Trim procedure was successful; however, if they literally just run the procedure that means it was successful and you’re good to put on the shock simulators (the procedure takes like 5 minutes). But just in case you forgot here are the steps:
      Step 1: Install your lift kit (new shocks and struts)
      Step2: install the ride height sensor simulators that Xineering provides
      Step 3: Take your truck to the dealership and have the ride height Trim procedure done (“the zero out thing”)
      Step 4: install the shock simulators (go through a few ignition cycles and you should be good to go with no suspension message or speed limiter)

      Do I have to install shock simulators immediately after the dealship zeros it out? Also how did you hear about this? I’ve been looking all over

    • @Builttolastdenali
      @Builttolastdenali  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kipper Deuce that is a question more for xineering, since they are the subject matter experts on their kit. But I would say that you should be fine to put them on whenever you get home from the dealer..just may take a few ignition cycles to clear any dash messages.
      And I literally just typed in “magneride bypass kit” in google and xineering came up. Then I did my research and decided to go with them. Haven’t had issues since

    Hey for the front struts did u use stock mounts or bought the fox coilover assembly with mounts already on it

  • @xineering

    We have some customers very interesting in your truck.
    Did you upgrade your control arms or are they stock?
    Have you had any trouble with your alignment or ball joints?
    Thanks in advance!

    • @Builttolastdenali
      @Builttolastdenali  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Xineering LLC i originally had a 3.5” fabtech magneride lift on the truck (which came with upgraded uniball upper control arms). I simply took out the old struts and spacer’s, put the fox one’s in and kept the fabtech upper control arms in. I have been experiencing an intermittent popping noise on the driver’s side. I took the truck to the dealership and they said it was the fox 2.5 coil over..so I told fox and they will be sending me a new coil over to see if that helps.

      The_Safe_Haven Hi. I had the same when putting in the Dobinsons, however they fixed the sound by re-opening the assembly and then Re tightening to the torque spec. Then and till now, sound solid and no knocks. Good luck.

    Did you have to go to a dealership and have them recalibrated? Or did you just change out the suspension then plug the sims in?

    • @Builttolastdenali
      @Builttolastdenali  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check out this video, it explains exactly what to do: th-cam.com/video/ehA3ZBlEjAU/w-d-xo.html
      The only thing is now, instead of going to the dealership and have them perform the ride height trim procedure (just zeroing out your shocks) I think xineering now has a tool where you can do the trim procedure yourself.

    Just to make sure I understood correctly, after you put the new shocks on, you were still able to drive the truck with no issues except for the dash light and the speed limiter, right? So if I change mine out, I can drive it for a week or so while I wait on the delete kit to arrive?

  • @MrRedboy84

      K G no issues. I recently installed a 6” BDS coil over lift with the upgraded leaf pack and fox shocks all around. Will be putting on recoil traction bars soon

    Just purchased the kit for my 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. Gonna put on Bilstein shocks and ad a 3.5” leveling kit. Do I install the bypass first? And why do I need to take it to the dealer?

      I purchased the Xineering bypass kit.

    • @Builttolastdenali
      @Builttolastdenali  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You only need to do this if you have the magnetic ride shocks. I’m pretty sure the LTZ’s come with rancho’s correct? If they don’t come with rancho’s then do the following:
      1. Install the lift kit you want
      2. Install the ride height sensors
      3. go to the dealership and have them perform the ride height trim procedure
      4. Install the shock simulators
      5. go through a few key ignition cycles and you will be good.

    Whats wrong with Magnetic Ride? I thought that was the superior GM suspension??..

    • @Builttolastdenali
      @Builttolastdenali  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha depends on your definition of “superior” and your intended use of your truck to determine that.

    • @Builttolastdenali
      @Builttolastdenali  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey brother so that video is a bit old, but when I had that set up I had fabtech uniball upper control arms (it was apart of their basic 4” lift)..and then I had 2.5 Fox shox in the front that gave me 2-3” of lift in the front. If you go on fox’s website it’s super easy to find.
      Now im running a 6” BDS lift. I went with the 2.5 Fox resi’s and 2.0 resi’s in the rear, with the BDS glide pack as well as BDS upper control arms.
      Hope this helps!

    • @Builttolastdenali
      @Builttolastdenali  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hiphoppe1516 yeap exactly. As long as you have the by pass kit you can put on whatever lift kit you. For example, I am currently running the 6” BDS coil over kit on my denali. Just whenever you are in putting the “make, model, year” and all that just don’t choose the denali option. The denali’s and regular Sierra’s are literally the same truck..the denali’s just come with magneride and the regular Sierra’s don’t.

      Hey CP, I have a 2016 LTZ with the same issues here. I'm leaning towards installing the Monroe Quick-Strut #139104, but there are mixed reviews that it causes a lift in Tahoes. 1) What struts did you install, and 2) did it cause any noticeable lifting of the front? Many thanks!

    • @TheTanner218
      @TheTanner218 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is garbage, they've got a collar that goes around the shock shaft inside of the coil over springs, mine got packed full of mud that I wasn't aware of and it ate away the seals. It's like 2000 miles past the warranty so the dealership wants $2300 just to replace the stock parts. Really thinking about this "delete kit". Thanks for the video!
