    Why spend thousands of dollars for new electronic/active struts? With these bypass modules you can use coil over kits or less expensive, passive struts and save considerably. These custom-built bypass units are plug-and-play, no splicing, and no soldering, simply plug them into the factory GM clips, zip tie into place. Inferior competitor products use bare wires and crimping system to connect to the factory wiring leaving the door open to moisture damage and corrosion down the road, this unit is completely waterproof and will last the life of the vehicle.
    These modules successfully bypass the original, OEM stock struts so the vehicles computer thinks they are still in place eliminating any error lights, codes, or speed limitations due to failing struts or the struts being replaced by nonactive units.

      Yeah, not only are dashboard lights annoying, but many times if you don't put the bypass is in place the car will limit its speed and some cars even going to limp mode

      Really could use some help. I need to bypass a 2023 f150 rear shocks that’ have two plugs on each shock. They are magnetic but used for an onboard scale. Very similar to the gmc newer models. Each shock has one plug that’s two wire and one that has three.

    This looks so much better than the units out there that require you to cut off the original connector and solder or crimp wires on. They wanted $1200 per OEM strut on my car lol

    Wow, the ones linked are at a great price point considering they just plug in to the stock connector! No crimping = less of a chance of failure from moisture etc i guess..

    • @ModsAndProjects
      @ModsAndProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, so many kits out there require you to solder or crimp. Unless you seal the hell out of it, I'm guessing it would probably get moisture in it and corrode eventually.

      Definitely, the most important part is the year of the car. They changed things up in 2013 so if your cars 2013 or newer you will need the version for that year range.

    • @ModsAndProjects
      @ModsAndProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ideally you want to zip tie the bypass to the existing wire harness as shown in the video, if you do not have access to the existing wire harness you can zip tie it to to the frame or anywhere else where it will be isolated from movement. Obviously you don't want to zip tie it to the suspension system because it moves constantly. Just look for a place that doesn't move and is out of the way of anything in motion. Remember when installing them in the front wheel wells that when you turn your steering wheel the wheels turn as well so you definitely want to take that into account..

    What is the difference between the two models? They both have the same connector but they seem different dimensionally.

    • @ModsAndProjects
      @ModsAndProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      GM vehicles between 1997 in 2012 have different requirements then GM vehicles between 2013 and 2019. You definitely want to make sure you get the correct model for the year of your vehicle because the newer vehicles between 2013 and 2019 have stricter requirements for the bypass units.

    How do I know if the units in the description will fit my vehicle?

    • @ModsAndProjects
      @ModsAndProjects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You definitely want to check prior to ordering the components with the plug-and-play connector as seen in the video. Just take one of your wheels off and disconnect the active suspension to see if the plug looks like the one in the picture if it does, you are good to go. If it does not, the bypass unit will still work but you will need to order a compatibility kit for a few extra bucks on Amazon. Basically the compatibility kit plugs into the bypass and leaves you with two bare wires you can cramp or solder onto the wires on your vehicle in each wheel well

    • @ModsAndProjects
      @ModsAndProjects  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, amzn.to/4aYd7u8 is the proper kit for pre-2013 trucks and SUVs. Running the full kit with three pin ride height simulators guarantees the kit lasts for the life of the vehicle. If you have air ride in the rear you will need the pigtails as well as they use a different, smaller two pin connection

    • @ModsAndProjects
      @ModsAndProjects  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Per the GM manual it could take up to 30 ignition cycles to clear codes. You could always go in with a snap-on or similar OBD computer to clear them yourself. Is your goal just to get rid of the dashboard lights?

      It should work fine, however, you should check the connector to your existing suspension to see if it is a direct fit, if for some reason it is not a direct fit you could always get the universal kit that would allow you to cut and crimp onto the wires.
