    I received the OBD/SS kit today and just installed it. It is so easy to install. The error reading "suspension service needed" is now gone from the instrument panel. I had replaced my front struts that were non-magnaride and the error message was just irritating. This is awesome. I can now replace my rear without the magnaride and non-air leveling. One thing I notice is that the tire pressure is not showing on the instrument panel. Is there something I need to do to get it to show again?

    • @JethroProductions
      @JethroProductions 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Everything is working fine. I can see the tire pressure on the instrument panel. I guess I just have to allow the system to reboot. I start and stop the engine a couple of times.

    Hello so I have a 2015 yukon xl Denali with magnaride just recently shocks went bad and so did the compressor I’m looking to do a delete on the magnaride in the rear I do tow about twice a year any recommendations on how I should go about this delete and would your product work for this. Thanks

      @xineering  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would definitely purchase our OBD/SS and a new compressor. This will let you put the ACDelco Air Shock 540-1675 in the rear to help keep the rear end up when towing or hauling. The compressor is super useful when paired with the air shocks. Our OBD/SS is the best option out there. Turns itself off, can bypass any shock so when the fronts give out it will take care of them too, and is backed by us here at Xineering. Let us know if there is any other questions we can answer. Or give us a call 407-542-4848

    I noticed the OBD/SS instructions say to leave all ride height sensors connected. I would be eliminating the magnaride on a Sierra Denali in order to lower it, wouldn’t leaving the sensors connected creat a lowering kit install issue? I was hoping to eliminate the sensors all together like the original shocksims...

    • @xineering
      @xineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment!
      You are correct, the OBD/SS requires the ride height sensors to be connected (or providing valid ride height voltages) to the SCM.
      For your case (removing the sensors) we can provide the ride height sensor simulators with the OBD/SS or you can buy a full traditional shocksims kits. Give us a call 407-542-4848.

    whats the point?

    • @xineering
      @xineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you remove any of the magneride shocks from your vehicle, the Suspension Control Module (SCM) throw DTCs complaining about the missing shocks. This results in a "Service Suspension" messages on the dash at vehicle startup and the ECU limits your vehicle to 80 mph and disables the cruise control.
      The OBD/SS tells the SCM that everything is good to go. So you can put on whatever shocks you wish on your car/truck/suv that was originally equipped with magneride.

      What vehicle are you referring to?
      I will speak to SUVs with auto level air in the rear.
      With this module you can unplug/remove just the front magneride struts and your auto level will still be functional in the rear.
      OR
      You can unplug/remove all four of your magneride struts/shocks. If you remove your rear magneride/ air shocks you will need to plug the AutoLevel Air lines (no parts needed, see our ALC bypass video)

    Hi, I've got a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali with a 3-1/2" Rough Country lift on it, which uses a strut spacer in the front and a shock extension in the rear. I wanted to upgrade the the Rough Country full 3-1/2" struts and shocks in the rear. I'm I good to go with your new kit, or would the original kit work better? I know you mentioned in one of your vids that trucks with bigger lifts should go with the original kit, but mine is under a 4" lift.

    I have a 2016 Escalade with the Z95 Suspension and 22" factory wheels. Truck rides very jittery like you feel every little crack and bump on the road, I was thinking of doing away from factory magneride to a more traditional strut setup for a smoother less jittery bumpy ride. Do I have to replace the struts to something else? or just disable the magneride with this Item and my factory struts will work like traditional ones? If I need to replace the actual strut what do you guys recommend?

      Hi Marco, Thanks for checking us out.
      Most of our Escalade customers replace the front struts and install our OBD/SS. If your rear shocks are not leaking they are likely still operating normally.
      The Monroe 139104 strut assemblies are compatible with your 2016 Escalade with 22" wheels. Monroe says they are not compatible because they feel the "Spring may be slightly underweight for the added weight of the 22" wheel and tire" but we have hundreds of customers running them on their Tahoe, Suburbans, Yukons, Yukon XLs, and Escalades. We even had them on our 2015 Tahoe LTZ from our earlier videos.
      Give us a call if you have any questions at all.

    • @xineering
      @xineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your dealership put magneride struts back in, there could be a case of bad used struts or lack of a trim procedure.
      Ideally a dealership would install the struts and follow all the procedures to ensure a comfortable ride.
      But unfortunately, non of the products we offer can help with ride quality. Our systems simply bypass the magneride computer so you can install any strut/suspension kit you would like.

    • @xineering
      @xineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The OBD/SS works with functioning and valid ride height postion data from your ride height sensors.
      Your 6 inch lift may push your sensors past their valid zone for operation, aka 'maxed out'.
      Our Original Multi-Piece kit simulates a valid ride height, so you can lift your truck to the moon, lol. But, you would need our scan tool or a tablet style scan tool (SnapOn Solus, Autel Maxidas, Matco, etc.) to preform a ride height trim procedure to the new simulated height.
      With this in mind here are your options:
      1) Purchase an OBD/SS and ride height position sensor relocation brackets to keep the ride height position valid.
      2) Purchase the ShockSims Original Multi-Piece Full Kit and scan tool.
      You can email us at xineering@gmail.com for more info/help.

    • @xineering
      @xineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the comment.
      Yes you can.
      Unplug your 4 shocks and plug in the OBDSS.
      If you DO NOT tow, just put a non air shock in the rear ,Bilstein 5100 24-251778 or Monroe 911506 or similar.
      If you DO tow put a non mag autolevel air shock in the rear.
      AC Delco 540-1675 (or 540-1723)
      Nothing will change on your ride height sensor side, so if your auto-level is working correctly now, it will work exactly the same with the OBD/SS plugged in.
      If not, then you can do the trim procedure to reset the '0' height reference for the auto level system.

    I have a 2011 escalade ESV with Z95 magnetic ride shocks. Well until last night lol. I already replaced the rear shocks with standard shocks and the ride is great because my factory shocks were leaking and air boots blown out. Ive been dealing with the suspension messages since i bought it 2 years ago and they dont really bother me anymore. I never realized id be limited to 80mph though! id like to be able to go 88mph lol anyways my question is now that i have the rear shocks unlugged i noticed my awd isnt working properly.
    Question #1 Do you know if having this unplugged effects the awd operation or do i have other problems i never noticed till now. (FYI im in ohio so our driveway is ice so i can test the awd easily lol)
    Question #2 will this even work on my 2011? when the suspension malfuntions you get multiple error messages like service suspension system, stabilitrak errors, traction control errors.

      Your 2011 ESV will sadly not work with this device. There are 100+ DTCs that can be thrown in your vehicles suspension control module. We would suggest solving your suspension message first before going further down the 'replacing parts' rabbit hole.
      As for 2008-2014 bypass, we suggest to ziptie your ride height position sensor, as close as you can, to their stock position and soldering in some of these resistors where the shocks plugged into:

      @xineering  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment Jeff.
      You are 100% correct!
      And that is what we are trying to do here, save money. :)
      We originally developed this bypass for C7 Corvette racecars removing OEM magneride shocks and putting on coilovers.
      Then while at Sebring someone asked how we were doing that and wished there was something for his Yukon Denali to do the same. He had just spent $4500 replacing all 4 'bad' magneride shocks on is sub 40k mile Yukon Denali. After some research we found they (GM) use the same Suspension Control Module (SCM) on the SUVs as they do on the Corvette and Cadillac sedans. So we started offering a truck (Sierra Denali) and SUV version. That's when we learned it is pretty big issue and a problem that needed solving.
      The magneride works great on the SUVs when the shocks are new, but many fail under 25k miles, the dealer usually replaces the first set under warranty, then the next time it happens the customer is forced to make a decision. Buy new magneride shocks ($600-$1200 each depending on who is installing them) or bypass the system and put a shock/strut set on that will last the life of the vehicle.
      That's where we come in..... :)
