New Fritzbox routers coming out this year with Wi-Fi 7 5.760 MBit/s. even G5 and alot more crazy things 😲
Thank you very much for the video 😀
Thanks for watching Bodie! Cheers my friend! 😄
Thanks for a great comparison review! I am currently running two Cisco Wi-Fi Routers that are hardwired back to my Arris Gateway Wi-fi router, all running one SSID. Is it possible that these mesh routers could improve the throughput and performance of my network?
It might improve the throughput and performance but there are other factors like router locations, type of router, settings on the router and possible Wi-Fi signal interference. If you optimize the locations and router settings it should help your wifi performance. Which CISCO routers are you running?
@@UltimateTechHub Two EA3500s and one EA2700. My house is pretty strung out and it is a long way from one end to the other. I have Cat5 to each room including the garage, connecting back to a media closet that is in the middle of the house. The Cisco routers are primarily wireless access points since I want good roaming with my phones and tablets. I have been interested in the potential of mesh networks since they came out but don't want to invest in something that won't bring an improvement.
Thanks for this video. Is this the best solution for a resort so the whole area will have wifi connection?
Yes, definitely
The more I watch these things, the more confused I get. We used to have a router and a booster that came with it and that worked just fine. After changing broadband provider, I am supposed to be getting 500 mb/s, but in the next room it goes down to about 18 mb/s, and zero in some parts of the house. I got an extender, but that made it even worse. I called the provider and they said that a mesh system would be too complicated, but I can't find anything that doesn't include the word 'mesh'! I don't want to spend a lot of money just to find it doesn't work. I don't need any apps or alexa - I just want to be able to watch TV/use my PC.
If your home is small then you don't need a mesh system, just a good wireless router. What are you using in the next room that gets 18 mb/s? If your home is large then a mesh system is the way to go. The Netgear Orbi is really awesome and speeds are really fast. TP-Link is also good and works right out of the box with very little setup. Mesh systems are NOT complicated trust me. Wi-Fi extenders are complete crap so get your money back. ( I've tried extenders and they are awful! ) Keep me posted and feel free to ask any questions. 😉
Thank you
Your welcome and thank you for watching!
I have the tp link 75xe pros and they are rock steady for me. I only have a 300mbs connection but I get the full capacity every time. The deco parental controls kinda suck though.
Yes, the parental controls could a little bit better. I use Cloudflare DNS for my parental controls too. It blocks malware and ALL adult websites. Let me know if you want to see the video on how to set it up. Its very easy. The Tp link DECO systems are very good for wireless coverage. I'm reviewing the Deco XE70 Pro next week so make sure to check it out! To be honest the xe75 pro is better than the xe70 pro. But I'll explain that in the video. Thank you for watching Mark!
Deco is trash
I recently moved back home with my parents. 5 people in the house, I literally just bought TP link 75xe and will be picking it up tomorrow. The house is large. Hoping I can do the HomeLab of running Cat6 cable around the house after I get more money to do that (watched a lot of your video today and were very helpful and informative. Very very excited to do it this year). Will I be okay with the TP 75xe? I tried my be to do a lot of research and the budget. Got it for $249. We have a lot of Device including gaming devices. I’m the tech guy of the house so I’m trying my best.
I was also planning to do LAN cable with it into a network switch in my office/game room
The TP Xe75 will work well for cat6 and lots of IoT Devices. Congrats AlterDarky!
Is this the guy from the Silicon Valley TV show?
How did you guess? My cover is blown! Lol! Thanks for watching!
How come you didn't include any ASUS mesh?
I only had 5 spots and these are my Top 5 regardless of brand name. Asus does have some good Mesh routers and would have made my TOP 10 for sure! Thanks for watching!
buy TP if you want unsecure router? :)
You did not provide any speed loss for different nodes so not really a useful video
