Fabulous waterfalls. Knoch And Princess Louisa Inlets in British Columbia, Canada have a similar feel. Because they are in rainforests, the trick is to have a clear day. We also wanted to thank you for turning us on to Pandemonium by Hanna Stone and Dag ? Great song, to bad she is no longer with us.
Gorgeous area! People have been sailing against the wind for the last 100 years. Use both sails and tack when needed to avoid burning diesel poison in such a pristine place. You also get a bit of exercise😉
Unfortunately we usually face a time crunch as well. Trying to get 50 miles in each day before the sun goes down, we need to keep up a decent speed in the right direction for velocity made good. 😬
Here’s a little perspective for Mr. fun Johnson: perfect boat, gorgeous woman, awesome cat, cruising in Norway! In the overall scope of thingsHaving to motor while doing all this isn’t such a big sacrifice! Love you guys, I love your blog and you rock my world every week with some incredible videography. Merry Christmas and stay warm in Chilly England,
Those fjords and wind on the nose are both very much like cruising in the Pacific Northwest USA and British Columbia. The mooring buoy thing is common too. Different shape but tying to the buoy directly is the only way it is done in these parts. The steep walled and very deep water ways is very British Columbia. Looks like fun.
Nice waterfalls, mountain views, calm water & you three.....What more could a deplorable like me ask for......Enjoy this Christmas and have a happy new year!
Awesome video. Having grown up and spent most days of my life in Western Norway in this sort of landscape you get very blasé about such things, seeing your being so impressed by the relatively normal waterfalls put things into perspective. Makes me feel lucky having grown up here :)
Thanks for taking us to some of the most beautiful and awe inspiring places over the last few months. With so many TH-cam sailors in the South Pacific, Caribbean and other tropical spots, your adventure has opened the window to so much more of the world that can be traversed by water. Keep up the great work and Happy New Year!
I was watching Ran sailing and during their vlog they walked past a Hotel Restaurant called MJ'S. on the coast in Malmo, Sweden. The Initials just caught my eye.....The waterfalls were amazing...Thanks for the great video's as always.
To bad there was relative little water in the waterfalls, but it is still a sight. I promise you it is spectacular when there is much water, typically in the spring or later in the fall. Great video from my home turf, on the map in the beginning of the episode you could see "Blindheim" East of Ålesund, thats where I grew up and had my first sail boats.
You two have been in some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Absolutely loving all the shots and views you are sharing. Wish I were there. I may never get the chance to travel on a sailboat outside of my small area, so I guess I need to live through you. Keep doing what you're doing and living life the way it should be.
You literally went past my house. on 4:16 the island to your north is where i live. You could have gone thru between Sula (the island) and south of Blindheim. Under the bridge marked as yellow.
Gosh..I somehow missed that it was the Artic you guys were going to. Maybe it just got my attention since we are heading to the opposite end of the earth..to Patagonia (almost Antarctica!) Will be watching more closely now! That may be our destination after go south ;) Why not!? Looks gorgeous so far! PS Pretty Kitty! -Rebecca on SV Brick House
We originally planned on going to Patagonia after this trip North, but there is still too much to explorer in this hemisphere that we'll have to wait to head south for awhile. And Jess needs to warm up for a bit first :) -Matt
matt johnson well, maybe we will meet up there...wouldn’t that be totally cool! Yes...I’m soaking in the warmth now...even though it will be a solid 8 or 9 months til we reach Patagonia, unless something else distracts us along the way :) -Rebecca on SV Brick House
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Saginaw Bay (suppose to be around 55-60 degrees today)! Beautiful just doesn't do the scenery justice, more like a place that Mother Nature set aside for herself to sit and rest on her laurels.
Hello, Since Norway has tickled your fancy, I hope someday you consider doing the inside passage from the San Juan islands to Alaska....I believe you two would be impressed! Cheers
Here you are, coming to Norway. When I'm 1-2 months from running away from it :P (Norwegian) Expensive, cold, mostly bad drivers, and the list goes on :P
@Bard Erland Nationalism is only "legal" for brown people. When they do it it's encouraged.. If a white person does it, he/shen is caled racist, fascist and all other sorts of words...
The waterfalls are spectacular! Bringing the drone back onboard amidst all those lines and while underway looks challenging. I have a couple drones and know that even landing on a stationary location can be stressful if there are enough obstacles around. You two have really mastered it. Merry Christmas to you both. Looking forward to a new year full of adventures with with MJ Sailing.
Ok, what is it with the floating names in the video? Did I miss something?? Oh, I wanted to tell you that you should list your tunes in the More section. It is a hassle, but it will help the Yoo Toob Algorithm to understand what licensing is involved with your music. This boosts your search ranking on the site. Just FYI....Oh...WOW...the views....I know everybody on sailing channels heads to the Bahamas, but this work you three are doing is amazing. Yes I will include Georgie. The waterfalls wowzers!
The 'floating' names are a new Patreon benefit, a way of giving recognition. Hopefully it works out. 😀. Yes, usually the tunes are listed below, just got a little behind on adding all the information today. Glad you're enjoying the views!

Thanks for taking us with you on your journey, I love your videos which you must put a lot of time and effort into producing. It is appreciated.
Truth be told. Matts voice is spectacular. And he never swears.....lol

Thank you so much! Happy Holidays to you too. 😀
Some spectacular views you guys captured there. looks like a great place to be!
Merry Christmas
Nice touch on the Sailing Uma Hot Cocoa switcheroo.
Merry Christmas MJ Sailing
Given the state of the boat and motor when you got it, I would count every additional hour you are able to put on it as bonus....
That was amazing! thanks for sharing. Thumbed
Just love to hear and see your expressions about it. ❤️
WOW !
Merry Christmas !!!
Hope y'all had a Great Christmas. Happy Boxing day.

😻MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄 HAPPY HANUKKAH 🕎 foggy this morning in Windsor, Ontario.
The phrase which characterizes cruising Norway is apparently "If we had time..."
"If we had time, and if we had the right winds", lol.
@@MJSailing That's what I meant... season so short... as with all sailing you're at the whim of the weather
happy Christmas
Tony & Susan here, wishing you both Merry Christmas from Michigan
Hello,
Since Norway has tickled your fancy, I hope someday you consider doing the inside passage from the San Juan islands to Alaska....I believe you two would be impressed!
Cheers
That would be quite interesting! But first we'd have to find ourselves on the other side of the Americas.☺️
MJ Sailing
Oh believe me, it would well be worth the trek...
Another question....beside the beautiful views...were there other things to do onshore? -Rebecca
Merry Christmas and smooth sailing in the New Year
You found my favourite mooring. I wanted to keep it a secret. Happy Christmas from Alesund. Actually I'm in Antigua at the moment
Antigua.... good choice :) The sun and warmth would be very welcome right now.

Hope you found some wine for Christmas :)
Yes, a nice mulled wine. 😉
Does it feel like you are in the center of the plane-t? Round like a plate? Or spherical like a ball? Are you at sea level? Or sea-curve?

Live in Norway? Have you been there in the winter?
Yes, we live here and it is winter now. What is the problem?
Look up 4k train cab view on youtube and see how beautiful Norway is all year round.
