As being a former captain of a traditionally rigged topsail schooner and staysail schooners, Shenandoah of Sark is a beautiful vessel. My ears did kinda hurt though while watching this video - it is a saloon not a salon, a salon is where ladies go to get their hair done. It is amazing how well she is kept up, but of course having a ton load of money makes all the difference. I am pleased there are still people around that appreciate these vessels to keep them alive for everyone to enjoy. Not minding the minor nautical terms, the video was a quite entertaining listing, and I thank you.
To be fair, salon is also a term for a gathering room in a home, and both terms are from the French word “salon” for hall and both define the gathering space.

When I hear “maintaining a yacht like this requires a lot of love, attention, and passion.” All I really hear is “requires a fuckton of money every year”
As do all yachts. They average roughly 10% of the value of a vessel every single year to crew and maintain, nevermind a refit every 5-10 years. All that fucking teak lasts 10 years if you baby it, before it turns to garbage that needs to be replaced for a million and a half or so. Captain and crew, they gotta eat and get paid, sails get replaced every few years at (guessing based on the tri-mast) a couple hundred k each time. Taxes. Port fees. Oh and don't forget, whether wood, steel, aluminum or frp, you are talking about salt water, every second a vessel is in the ocean, the ocean is trying to consume said vessel causing constant damage, which requires maintenance and repair which costs money. Yeah. Owning a yacht is exclusively for the wealthy for a reason.

Congratulations Ene's and your team for what is I think the best walkthrough of a yacht I have ever seen and I probably spend more time than I should looking at boats on TH-cam. Shenandoah is for me the most beautiful yacht in the world and I'm delighted you have done her justice
What an amazing ship! Such a blend of elemental power, majesty and exquisite decor and craftsmanship. Has she ever been to the UK? I could just imagine her sailing on my beloved West Coast of Scotland. She would really fit in with the sublime scenery. I can imagine her storming before a strong wind through the Sound of Mull with the stunning mountain backdrop and coming into Oban's beautiful harbour.

There are no more words...and it's anchored Italy..WOW the perfect place, it's miraculous...thanks Enes, Mikey and your team...for a tour of this sailing wonder...this one is the one to drift into an endless sunrise and sunset..bon voyage!
For me, this is the grooviest walk through you and Miky have ever shown us. The yacht itself was enough, being a sailor myself, but the time you took to better understand the names and the workings of the ship was quite impressive. The Shenandoah is without a doubt one of the most beautiful sailboats in the history of sailing.
It´s the comfort, some people can´t handle the leaning but want to be in the ocean. Also cruise liners are terrible, regardless if you have a state room or not.
Amazing yacht, so timeless and so much heritage. Loved the stories that the captain was telling too! If only the yacht itself could speak... oh the stories it could tell over the last 120 years!
Honestly this yacht looks way more classy and relaxing than most new yachts. Probably very expensive to crew and maintain but well worth it! I hope Shenandoah will sail for at least a 120 more years!
I checked online and it's "historic", so not really true. After the restoration it has space for only 10-11 people. On historically accurate vessel you would need at least double that, but preferrably even more if you want to do longer stints and let the crew change/have some people to overlook port manouvres. It's restored to look very luxurious and there's nothing wrong with it. It looks great. I bet they use some of the old parts, but trying to sell it as "historic" is a bit irritating.
What an amazing vessel. She is absolutely stunning, so beautiful, so elegant, timeless and classical. Wow,wow, wow I am totally impressed. The production is fanominal, I feel like I am on the set of a movie production. The detailed description and the camera angles capture the beauty, sophistication, elegance and class of this vessel to a tea. There is nothing like the sound of sails unfurling in the breeze, it stirs the soul as you take the tiller and cut through the waves. One of the best memories of my life, sailing on Lake Michigan on a 25’ sailboat and being given the honor of taking the tiller.
That intro just took my breath away this tour was unprecedented what a beautiful yacht this is why enes mikey dal Jason and this channel has two million plus subscribers they deserve it every week it never fails the amount of joy they bring to people with these tours❤
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most beautiful Sailing Yacht. What a privilege. The video quality is superb. Great editing. Kudos for the camera man and drone pilot.
Thanks for your excellent video Enes. A fitting tribute to a remarkable and truly elegant, 3 masted schooner. One can only marvel at the original craftmanship and the care lavished on it by all, to keep it so immaculate inside and out. I can only try and surmise and perhaps echo a little of what you must have felt when stepping aboard for the first time...? For me however, the "Piece de Resistance" must be when one hoists the sails for the first time. I can only try to imagine the spine-tingling sensation, as the sails initially flap when they begin to catch the breeze, perhaps one feels a slight tremble beneath ones feet, as though a giant had begun to waken from their slumbers. And then somehow coming to life, as the vessel starts to heel slightly with her sails now catching the breeze, begins to surge eagerly forward. What a memorable experience. Thank You...!
I am glad i come across this vid. Such a beautiful vessel and piece of maritime history wonderful craftsmanship. The care of this treasure is obvious & may it never stop. So pleased to see it. Tk you for the tour .
I have worked on this boat for many years doing all the details of the teak deck and doing some maintenance work that the crew cannot do. The boat is in excellent condition I love this boat

I've seen another side of you. Your excitement over this absolutely superb, classic yacht is infectious. The atmosphere, ambience and style of this yacht is head and shoulders above some of the souless mansions we see on this channel. Bravo!
Most of the living spaces Enes tours are amazing but they are also absurdly, almost arbitrarily expensive. This is one of the only pieces where I'm actually stunned at how much of a good value this is for this price. I would guess this would've been a lot more than 10 million.

When most of us think of yachts, this is usually NOT what we think of. My thinking has changed! An amazingly beautiful piece of incredible workmanship, so very different from the glass and marble of which the modern yachts consist of. So glad that you and the team were able to experience this. The tour would not have been the same had you just boarded and shot video. That you were actually able to experience first hand the choreography that is required to move this beautiful vessel, made your appreciation of it so much more honest. Another home run Enes & Co.!
It is a very special and a great episode, it is an eye-opener to me! Although this is a 120 year old yacht, the overall condition still looks great! Not only does the exterior look clean, but the interior is also modern! It is a very lucky thing to be able to take it to sea, and I hope I will have the opportunity to sail it in the future! You did a really great job again, thanks for sharing!👍😄👏
Shenandoah is a classic beauty and obviously well loved and cared for by skipper and crew. Well done on the presentation Enes and Mikey! I guess my only comment/suggestion- and this is with tongue in cheek and smile on my face- would be to to brush up on some nautical terminology. ie portholes vs windows; cabins vs rooms; heads vs toilet etc. Thanks for a wonderful film. I wouldn't want to own her but if I find a spare 110,000 euros laying around I'll be sure to charter Shenandoah.👍

I always look forward to your videos and this one was one of your best ones (the commentary and the editing was outstanding!). My love for travel continues... thanks for sharing!
she is unique and magnificent, and i could not imagine the operating costs. the cost of this ship would be almost irrelevant in comparison to over all costs throughout ownership.
It costs over 100k euros per week to lease her (including crew, I assume), so 1 million per year for maintenance and operation is probably a pretty good guess. Also, I've heard that annual maintenance and operation expenses are generally about 10% of the purchase price for a boat in Shenandoah's class, and she being sold for $10 million.
I can appreciate your enthusiasm and she is beyond beautiful. Your tour was perfect in every way with one exception. A lady this age has earned the correct vernacular in describing her. The Shenandoah is a masterpiece and a marine treasure. The craftsmanship is exquisite...and that piano the salon is EVERYTHING! There are no more words...and it's anchored Italy..WOW the perfect place, it's miraculous...thanks Enes, Mikey and your team...for a tour of this sailing wonder...this one is the one to drift into an endless sunrise and sunset..bon voyage!
This is best yacht I’ve ever seen definitely. I saw many vid’s about different luxury yachts but this is my best
Never could understand motor yacht owners. Sailing over the 35-knot winds is the most exiting experience which never gets boring.
It´s the comfort, some people can´t handle the leaning but want to be in the ocean. Also cruise liners are terrible, regardless if you have a state room or not.
@@MrSilverfish12 Regarding comfort, i have to mention that sailboats are more stable on the waves. Sails and keel stabilise vessel.
Amazing yacht, so timeless and so much heritage. Loved the stories that the captain was telling too! If only the yacht itself could speak... oh the stories it could tell over the last 120 years!
Work of Art
Honestly this yacht looks way more classy and relaxing than most new yachts. Probably very expensive to crew and maintain but well worth it! I hope Shenandoah will sail for at least a 120 more years!
I agree! She looks so much better than modern yachts.
There's not one ugly angle on this totally beautiful yacht. Fantastic
Absolutely stunning cinematography! That boat sounds so dreamy
It really is!
I have tears pouring down my face after seeing this beauty dance across the sea. It's breathtaking.
To me, you blew all out if this world with this one!!!! My hands up to the ceiling for you guys! Love love love
Gorgeously presented, Fellas. They should show this in the lobby of five star hotels.
I feel as though I have been transported to a different era the 1920's or the 1930's Enes you and Mikey are a fantastic team, bringing brilliance and magic to our screens all the time. Thank you for sharing 😊😊👍👍🤙🤙
There is nothing like the sound of sails unfurling in the breeze, it stirs the soul as you take the tiller and cut through the waves. One of the best memories of my life, sailing on Lake Michigan on a 25’ sailboat and being given the honor of taking the tiller.
That intro just took my breath away this tour was unprecedented what a beautiful yacht this is why enes mikey dal Jason and this channel has two million plus subscribers they deserve it every week it never fails the amount of joy they bring to people with these tours❤
thank you for your support! appreciate it!
This is my pleasure enes ❤️
She's my favourite ship ever. Perfect lines and so rich in maritime history. Fantastic cinematography and tour! Thank you! ❤
I had no idea that I was interested in 120-year old yachts - until NOW! Great job once again, Enes and Mikey!
Check out Sampson Boat Co and the restoration of Tally Ho!
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the most beautiful Sailing Yacht. What a privilege. The video quality is superb. Great editing. Kudos for the camera man and drone pilot.
What a timeless beauty.
This episode is topnotch.
Thank you kindly!
I saw it 40 years ago in Corsica, Shenandoah is the most beautiful thing I have seen in my life.
Fantastic tour! Rarely do I think I’d like to buy a yacht but that one is absolutely gorgeous and expertly displayed to the viewers, 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
For me however, the
"Piece de Resistance" must be when one hoists the sails for the first time.
You probably have one of the best TH-cam channels out there. I love your content so much. This is one of the most gorgeous Yachts I’ve seen 😍😍
Wow, thank you! hope you enjoy!
I am glad i come across this vid. Such a beautiful vessel and piece of maritime history wonderful craftsmanship. The care of this treasure is obvious & may it never stop. So pleased to see it. Tk you for the tour .
Это шедевр искусства такая яхта.Желаю всем, кто отдыхает на таких шедеврах, решать сложные проблемы простых людей тоже. Спасибо за экскурсию по яхте.
да пажалуста.я был спонсэром этой затеи.
I’ve sailed a few times The OOSTERSCHELDE(Rotterdam) built in 1918, but this is superb !!
This is simply wonderful. Well-shot, presented, aboard one of the best ships I've seen.
Wow, thank you!
Stunning craftmanship and engineering.
EVERY DAMN VIDEO KEEPS GETTING BETTER. That intro was just spectacular. This was amazing to watch.
wow thank you so much!
A sailing yacht with a grand piano in the saloon is the definition of style!
I have worked on this boat for many years doing all the details of the teak deck and doing some maintenance work that the crew cannot do. The boat is in excellent condition I love this boat
I went to high school on Tall Ships, Te Vega and TeQuest many years ago.
We were the students and the crew.
Those were the days.
Thanks for the video, brought back lots of memories.
I've seen another side of you. Your excitement over this absolutely superb, classic yacht is infectious. The atmosphere, ambience and style of this yacht is head and shoulders above some of the souless mansions we see on this channel. Bravo!
Ah, just to add, great to see a steady camera movements and no crazy music. 🙂
Most of the living spaces Enes tours are amazing but they are also absurdly, almost arbitrarily expensive. This is one of the only pieces where I'm actually stunned at how much of a good value this is for this price. I would guess this would've been a lot more than 10 million.
it's a good one!
It then begs the question: how much does it take to run and maintain this beauty every year? I bet it's a considerable amount.
@@Saltamonte142 Varnishing the rigs was 5,500 man hours. Even at $20/hr that's well over $1 million.
@@Saltamonte142 I'm sure it's at least $10 million!
@@kixigvak Naah. Crew, port fees, daily upkeep, fuel etc. More like 1 million/yr assuming no major maintenance.
This is one of the most Beautiful Sailing ships I have ever seen before in my life.
Probably my favourite video of yours ever. I could see how captivated and enthusiastic you where. The yacht is magnificent and I was moved by the video. It's stunning! Thank you for taking us with you, Enes.
Çok güzel, bayıldım. Çok güzel iş yapmışsın Enes. Ayrıca Mikey
After watching a bunch of your videos the quality is awesome! The production value on this one at the beginning with the intro was top notch 🔥
Wow, thanks!
Finally! A property really worthy of your talent, skill, and passion. Gorgeous and famous vessel. Thank you Enes for this voyage!
this is one of most beautiful and treasured sailing vessel very unique and original having something like this I'm on old soul too so I will be madly in love with it I love the natural wood finished The music collection is amazing just like I had furnitures in my home which I'm planning to repair and kept them in gallery a of them maybe a 100 year old and I heard the captain speak about two men lost at sea the story is the same similar story that happens to two men from Jamaica 🇯🇲 i think it was 11 years ago I was their hairstylist 10 days they lost boat failure and they were saved by some crew members they were well feed and dry clean clothing god bless you guys 😇🙏🏾🎶thank you enes for sharing the beautiful video 👍🏾
Incredibly beautiful.
I am speechless.
Love this episode so much! Want to put a bid on the Yacht now! BUT, would love to have seen the Kitchen!
I promise you galley is just as good as the rest of this yacht
Yeah, I was gonna buy it but I didn't see the galley, so nope!
@@hazbutler 15:56 gallery.
@@pavelow235 galley not gallery
Agree, as a professional chef it's very important to me and was looking forward to it.
Absolutely stunning.
What a beautiful ship! Thank you for showing us Enes, Mikey, and team. Stay safe everyone 💚
I am speechless!! What a sailing yacht it is!! I really enjoyed watching this tour... Loved everything in total... Awesome structure, finishing... To add, I was astonished by the saloon and the library.. To add, they also have a piano!! The owner must be a true music lover!! Thank you Enes, for sharing this tour with us!!
It was an incredible experience!
Thanks for highlighting the steeringwheel! The steeringwheel has so much history
You did a really great job again, thanks for sharing!👍😄👏
well said! our pleasure!
@@EnesYilmazer The pleasure is mine, thank you for stunning us again! 👍🤩🙌
THAT is THE most incredible yacht I've ever seen. Perfectly, stunningly maintained piece of historical beauty.
Incredible to see how variable your videos are! Enjoyed it!
you could almost say it is timeless
Из всех яхт, что я видела, эта привлекла моё внимание больше всего. Просто восхитительно😍
Mikey - Outstanding job! This is my absolute favorite video of yours. You and Enes are a great team. Thanks for taking me aboard this breathtaking ship.
I spent my youth on two Brigantine square riggers in Toronto Canada but always loved gaff rigs. What an extraordinary vessel. Thank you for sharing this video. Beautifully done.
I'm genuinely in love with how this channel has blossomed Mikey you're a boss camera man. Enes your presentation, attention to detail and ability to retain vast amounts of information is truly incredible. congratulations to you and your entire team.
Gorgeous. Love the history, library, piano, wood. Classic. Lovely.
Love what you have done with the production. Wasn't like this a couple years ago. Love the graphics, too. This video had a great intro, guys.
I was aboard once in Newport, Rhode Island. She is amazing! I have never seen so much varnish and polished brass. It is great to see the traditional rigging and sails! TM retired but still loves to sail
Love this! This was spectacularly filmed. Feels just like a documentary you would see on a major network. Amazing how far you guys have come. Be proud of what you have accomplished gents. Bravo 👏
Wow, I'm speechless. What a beautiful sailing vessel. It's like a work of art. Just to be on board, to feel the power when the wind fills the sails, and it heels over and takes off, must be incredible. To those that keep it in such great shape, job well done.
I always look forward to your videos and this one was one of your best ones (the commentary and the editing was outstanding!). My love for travel continues... thanks for sharing!
Wow, thank you!
All I can say is wow! Thank you Enes for the fabulous tour, truly one of a kind
she is unique and magnificent, and i could not imagine the operating costs. the cost of this ship would be almost irrelevant in comparison to over all costs throughout ownership.
1 million euros a year probably if staffed year around would be my guess..
@@belledetector . Which for many is peanuts.
@@tomarmstrong1281 yeah, compared to a private jet (which they'd own).. it would be peanuts.
I can appreciate your enthusiasm and she is beyond beautiful. Your tour was perfect in every way with one exception. A lady this age has earned the correct vernacular in describing her. Ex: galley, head, porthole, berth ..not kitchen, bathroom, window, and bedroom. Call me cranky but I feel she is worth it. You just earned yourself a subscriber. Ty
On top of being extremely charismatic in what he does, Enes is just so damn likeable. I could watch him give detailed presentations on just about anything for hours
Absolutely beautiful Yacht.
