You said it, a hat tip to the creators of this amazing game that have us still speculating on so many different theories this many years later. Its unfortunate they don't put in any time on the online game. But great video, keep up the good work.
Damn, I just can’t get over the quality of your videos. The editing, effects/transitions, music, everything. You deserve hundreds of thousands more subs, Tyler. This is excellent! Beautifully done. And these voice overs are AWESOME!
If they made a RDR3 they could just use the same map and set it 40 years earlier. You also have Colter as well as Limpany and there are a few other abandoned/destroyed settlements as well as random shacks and houses. We could see these when they were thriving and Blackwater and Saint Denis were much smaller and fledgling.
Can't go back to New Austin a 3rd time, that would get boring, they would be better off creating a new game world, maybe in California around the gold rush.
Apart from putting altogether great content you also kept everything relatively spoiler free, as a poor man who could only afford RDO and fell in love with the world and love to explore it, I truly thank you. Keep killing it bro
I really wish Limpany wasn't a destroyed town or that there was at least one other active town, small city or population centre or settlement in the game; the public Free Roam lobbies would really benefit from having another town in the game or on the map by spreading the players around more and not congregating or gathering around the same locations. Anyways great work again Tyler, I really enjoy these kinds of videos (especially the Gaptooth Ridge one) which explore the fascinating lore and locations within Free Roam.
Ya, I suppose they could rebuild it. But, it took 8 years to rebuild the casino in GTAO, so we could be waiting a while.Armadillo was my favourite spot, so kinda wish they would beat that old cholera thing Wow! you actually saw the Gaptooth Ridge one? Put a crazy amount of effort into that but it didn't get that much exposure. Glad you enjoyed it
@@DirtyTyler I still watch it often as it gets me excited to play the game. It's stellar stuff. I will always maintain that you and JohnSlyRecon are the best Red Dead content creators.
I’m pretty sure it was during fog but during some weather I went through Limpany and there were pieces of ash getting picked up from the ground causing a sort of ambience. It’s a really cool detail.
Actually theres a plaque on the church in Valentine which declares that the structure survived the great storm of 1888. That's just before the story starts so maybe that storm is the cause of the fires.
1st thought it was just a random lightning strike, since theirs so many around. 2nd an ember from that burnt area where the camp has with the dead body. But that was a stretch for both the camp and town to burn around the same time. 3rd I heard many ppl believe Cornwall set it because the town owed him money. But I believe the dead person at the camp was hired to burn Limpany down and whomever hired this person was killed to cover up this fact. I memory serves me right the box you find with the pamphlet has a gold nugget or ingot. It's been so long since I did a play thru I've forgotten exactly.
There is a gold nugget, coffee, miracle tonic, and the volatile fire bottle pamphlet in the burnt camp box. I just looked it up on one of my old guides. That was always a place I stopped at once I got to Ch. 2. Of course the gold bar at the Limpany sheriff's office was one of the big glitches in the game early on. But as far as what really happened to Limpany like you said we'll never really know. I've even heard ppl believe there was something that was supposed to have happened there in story mode but it had been cut from the game. Just like the 3rd piece of meteorite that can never be found but your inventory shows 2 of 3 pieces. YT'ers LimbsMgee, Fizhy, and The StrangeMan all had alot of good ideas about the lore of RDR2
Karosene barrels in Limpany are placed in places that suggest that they might have been a source of fire - like someone purposefully burned the town by puring their contents out. But... they are not burned down. If those would be wooden barrels full of highly flammable material, even if emptied, nothing - nothing would have remained of them. And they even still have paint on them. I don't think it means anything - I think devs just wanted people to have some clues - completely burned down town, without a clue would be less intriguing. But it looks weird.
I checked the place out at night and if you go to the jail house at night with a lantern the prisoner that is laying on the bed has his eyes open and close with black eyes (and maybe white pupils) that only end when day comes or you shoot him. It doesn't happen every single time but it is creepy when it does
Very interesting Tyler. I've actually incorporated some Limpany elements into my two character's stories, as I feel it's an interesting place to cultivate ideas. Also, great job on the video. The graphics and video shots are wonderful.
Any number of reasons why we know Cornwall is a ruthless businessman who will go to any lengths to secure his prosperity. He may have fallen foul of the local sheriff or the bar owner or any local of the small village. Deciding to take his vengeance he used an arsonist to do his bidding and burn the premises of he who had fouled him. Only meaning to take out his enemy the fire quickly spreads due to rising winds. Of course there's no evidence to support this or any other reason but there's none to deny it either. That's the beauty of Rockstars storytelling they leave so much mystery in the game.
@@Joe999v2 When I was researching there was a popular conspiracy theory that it was Corwall which was basically because there blue barrels scattered around with his company name on. Which is why i spent some time explaining them a bit. and how they would be common in a town.
@@TrivializEd Its a fun thought, but there is zero evidence or motive.Think that theory hinges on the fact they used his barrels in the town. I just found out about this Limpany video, two years after you posted it. I wish I could like it ten times. Your visuals are mesmerizing, and your narration is informative and poetic. I’m gushing, but this was a treat. Nothing better than having a mystery explained.
About midway through your video (5:23) when you describe a burned out campfire and dead body, there was also a Cornwall barrel there. Perhaps the person found here is the arsonist who set fire to Limpany and that in order to coverup the misdeed, Cornwall had him killed. I'm curious if there is also another angle involving Madam Nazar. She named her pigeons after four town lawmen (Dunbar (Blackwater), Lambert (Saint Denis), Freeman (Tumbleweed), and Malloy (Valentine)) and she does make reference to the dead man at the campsite. Perhaps she holds the clue for what happened?
Ya I have thought about the barrel also, and should have included that.Someone else mentioned the Nazar comments also, so I must actually start listening to her next time she is near limpany
Fantastic video Tyler, absolutely loved this! Really interesting and thought-provoking 😊 Biggest mystery for me though is which part of Ireland that lovely accent is from... my g-grandad was Irish from Cork, doesn't sound like there! 🇮🇪 Keep up the good work, you deserve so many more subs! Who knows honestly. Sometime fire can hop to different sections but it’s a 50-50 that it jumped that far. After watching different videos and hearing different things about Limpany, maybe until something solid leaks, I’m wondering if there was a heist placed on Limpany and to destroy it to stop any kind of rivalry. I wish I can use the boat load of money of mine to restore the small town.

I believe Cornwall did it and he sent the burnt corpse to carry it out but the clown got drunk and started his own fire that killed him.
