Saenchai vs GIANT - 40 Pound Weight Difference!

    When the opponent is much bigger and a 3x world champion, high FIGHT IQ is required. Saenchai went from not scoring much and not having momentum to shifting the tide after one moment.
    Saenchai utilizes the "Art of War" like a grandmaster, and his weapon of choice in this fight was pretending to be angry (like several of his other fights). After doing so, the much bigger opponent loses all momentum and Saenchai fights like he's the bigger fighter.
    If you ever wanted to study how smaller fighters defeat bigger fighters, this fight is a classic one to study.
    What do you think of what Saenchai did?

      As I was a shorter kickboxer, and only fought and trained with guys taller than myself, and put many on the deck, the trainer called me the pocket battleship, but I wasn't as good as him by a long way. 22 years later, at 57, watching is all I can do after collecting a broken back in 2001. Rangey fighters should fight from the outside at long range in their strength.
      Shorter (short ranged) fighters should fight in the inside in their strength.
      In boxing, kickboxing (which is similar to Muay Thai BTW) this rule/advice is applicable. Maybe even in MMA.

It's got a lot of legit information, including some tricks and moves to do, the biomechanics of Saenchai's techniques, including why he kicks the way he does (ex: kicking shoulder not turned all the way over to swing all the way through like some others do), and even includes breakdowns of his fights against bigger opponents like this! Great video! I love your breakdowns of these masters and their fighting styles/approaches. Something I wanted to add is that it appeared to be anger but it was also an anger that pointed to being deeply offended/or feeling disrespected. I don't know if he actually felt that way or was affecting in order to effect his opponent. Like you said Saenchai's opponent didn't do anything illegal but he immediately bowed in order to assure Saenchai that he wasn't trying to disrespect him.

    He left his height at George of Seinfeld so your Ego does not get bruised by defeat or even a Victory. I'd least I would have tried to give some respects to him.

    You mentioned this opponent was 3 times world champion? Adaylton's record is 4W 10L, clearly an inferior fighter

    • @bigmanbarry2299
      @bigmanbarry2299 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually no. He does have more fights than that. The site you got the information from only has like 150 of buakaws fights for example. And that is buakaw. It only has like 10 fights for a lot of other people that have world titles. Check for yourself. It doesn’t have complete records.

    This is kinda out of sportmenship. Frowning and making an angry face just because you got kicked while doing a flashy, stupid move is disrespectful to your opponent. Especially when in this case the opponent did not do anything illegal and we deduce that he actually has very high respect for saenchai. This demeanor is also disrespectful to the respectful manner of the giant to saenchai

    I miss seeing a Muay ring like this. Full of crowd, loud-as-fuck announcer and that traditional music playing in the background. Nowaday, thanks to the cluster scandal, you can't have a Muay Thai fight with crowd cheering at the sideline anymore.
