  • If your factory aluminum bash is destroyed, this is a great light weight option that won’t transfer shock to the aluminum frame as harshly as steel.
Upon further discussion within the Sur Ron/Segway communities, it's very evident that the bash is made out of a softer metal on purpose as to absorb impact energy and not transfer it to the aluminum frame.
If you have something against plastic (HDPE), you're probably better off hammering out the dents from the aluminum factory bash and replacing it with another factory one when a tab breaks. It's cheaper to replace a $60 aluminum bash than the aluminum frame and have an indestructible steel bash. That being said, this HDPE Race Spec bash is going to be more durable than aluminum and better at absorbing impacts.

They need to carry that bash plate further back and have it tie into the foot peg support plates.

Can you do a long term review? I want to buy this but the one from Luna Cycles seems pretty good as well.

Installed mine two weeks ago and do heavy trail/enduro riding and it can take a beating. Gone over large size oak and pine logs and cuts through like butter. Great review and item

Ridges add strength and makes bottom more slippery over rocks/logs etc as there’s less surface to slide over.

It’s HDPE. It should last the lifetime of your bike and absorb/direct forces away from the soft aluminum frame better than steel bashes.

@@skyungjae Yep did some research, seems to be the right stuff. Im 850 miles into riding bikes, never ridden a motocross before this so just getting confident enough to start jumping logs, and was concerned at the smash i was hearing on the aluminium plate! Question, I just upgraded the front disc to a 223 size with a riser, all fit well, any idea on what the rear disk can be upgraded with? Everywhere i look people are only upgrading the front disk.

@@T-Sav the rear disc bolt pattern is proprietary. You can buy Luna’s floating rotors. Others have redrilled the pattern on other aftermarket rotors. If you’ve got the money, you can build a whole rear wheel with a hub that uses standard MTB bolt pattern.
