Ingrid 🥰💐 good evening from a rainy and cold Spain! I hope that your day was beautiful and thank you so very much for watching, for being here! You really are a very kind lady for supporting me the way you do 🫶🏼🌸
🦒🙌💖💐 Many times guilty, yes. Not so much with orchids but mostly with the garden plants. They seem to thrive on neglect most of the time and I can get away with it 🙄 But I still feel guilty about it. Your Garren weaver is a survivor and I trust it will pull through. At the start of the video I was not expetcting you could salvage that much 😃 Fingers crossed for it and hoping for the best 🤞🤞❤❤
FFF 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🤗💐 good evening from a very rainy Spain, meine liebe Freundin!! Not as cold as the past months tonight, but wet and high humidity, I feel as though I am sitting in a freezer 🙄 I was not expecting to keep any of it either, but in order for me to reason through my tossing decision, I had to take it apart so as to explain the why... and well, there was some sign of 'ok' as we got further into the centre, I think I have options. 🤔 honestly, the way I am feeling right now, it doesn't matter if it doesn't make it. I saw the blooms, and that was my claim to fame with this orchid. Thank you, though, for crossing your fingers, I am certain that the orchid appreciates that a lot 😉😘 and thank you for watching!! Wishing you a cozy evening, amiga! ❤️🌸
I have similar problems with Phrags that have warszewiczianum as a parent, they look fine and then they just rot seemingly overnight. Those with longifolium parent or grandparent seem to be much easier for me to grow. I absolutely have orchids I neglect, they have been relegated to "the background" because they don't interest me anymore, yet they just truck on. Meanwhile, my Rlc George King, which I don't neglect but don't coddle either, I just found that both new leads from last year rotted at the base, probably from the cold snap. It is pushing two eyes further back, but the plant is definitely set back losing four bulbs to rot. Hopefully Garren will start to recover, those new growths should throw new roots quickly and may save the plant. I guess in five months we'll know.
Don Miguel 🥰💐 well, you are a good orchid daddy with your slippers, so, if that happens to you, then it is definitely not because of neglect 😬 cold snap, humidity ... yuck!! I am watching my Cabalgata En Verde very closely because of the potential rot for reasons of happy sap, so, I can see why your new growths went south. Sounds like a vigorous George King though, which is a good thing! That will be it's saving grace. Meanwhile, George King? I would have difficulty remembering that order for an orchid name, my brain goes to King George 😅 I have been terrible with the Garren Weaver, even though I did not ignore it since the ant colony was evicted, clearly, I have not had that much of a gung ho attitude about it, but, it would be nice if it did pull through. It is absolutely chucking it down right now, I am expecting the power to go out an minute. So, thank you so much for watching 😘 I hope your day was beautiful, my friend ❤️🌸
Amina, hi 😍💐 I really hope that you are right! If it doesn't, then I deserve to loose it, after not being vigilant and too consumed with my struggles throughout the cold month of February. It is looking even worse atm, but we shall see! I hope that you are right 🤞🏼 thank you so much for watching ❤️🌸
🌸🥷🏼Julie San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 good morning, beautiful! I was surprised that I was actually able to salvage something that may result in a comeback 🤷🏼♀️ yikes!! Talk about the lack of vigilance the past 6 weeks. So much so that, I forgot her in my planning video, and she wasn't on the list of 'MUST deal with' orchids. I am not going to do the Game of Thrones walk of shame, but close enough 🙄😵💫 thank you so much for your positive outlook for this orchid, I appreciate it! I hope that the follow ups will be positive, because the alternative would just be even more shameful! And thank you for watching, 🌸🥷🏼❤️ wishing you a beautiful Thursday and 💐 these are in your office with a YOU ARE SPECIAL to me, card 🫶🏼❤️🌸
Well, I don't have phragmipediums, but I sure did neglect my orchids. I should be happy they're alive. You know weekly weakly fertilizing method? Well I practice it, but my genius be it so frightening, for some reason in the past months gave 1/2 of recomended dosage several times throughout, instead of 1/10. This month I'll be giving distiled water exclusively. I might as well be Marylin Monroe of orchids😂
Hi Diva 😍💐 many orchids do better when we 'neglect them', but the pest supervision should not fall into that category 😅 I know the weekly weakly method of fertilizing yes, and many people do it and do so successfully! I can't do that when it comes to the warmer months of the year .. it is just fertilize, supplement and flush and all of that can happen within the same week 😂 I think you are doing great in filtering out information that you can tweak and make work for your 'chiddos! I like the fact that you are still here even though you are not growing in leca anymore. Know that I appreciate your continued support, Diva! Thank you! I hope your day was fabYOUlous ❤️🌸
Shirley, hi 🥰💐 yep... the walk of shame and facing the truth of 'NOTHING'! It has been extremely rough the past 6 weeks, and I have not been doing well, so things fell through the cracks. The cracks just got bigger and here we are with the results. Full transparency, as uncomfortable as it may be 🙄😔 I appreciate your gracious and kind comment, Shirley! Also, thank you so very much for watching. Hope you are having a wonderful day ❤️🌸
I get the feeling that this poor orchid is trying to tell you something... 🤔 Ignorance is not bliss.. 🤣🤣 Well I hope for the orchids sake it's recoverable!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 🧞Rubbing my magic lantern for you.... 😉 But we all reach a point of saying "Why Bother" , but Not yet!! 🧐 Keep "rooting" through it.... I shall keep rubbing my genie lamp and send sweet thoughts to you. Nothing like thoughts and prayers. 😶 Sorry, I had to say it. 😂 Spike your hot chocolate with some Bailey's Irish Cream and relax... 🥴 We will all be "rooting" for you..... I know I know, bad pun. But me Bad as you know. 😏🦇
🦇😍💐good evening from ⛈🇪🇸🥶🙄 ya think?? 😂 😂 complacency is the enemy of the orchid grower! She is so out of my radar and I guess that it me stating the obvious! Wow!! The walk of shame!! Not Game of Thrones Style, but close! I was going along the thought process of tossing this orchid, but had to make the diagnosis on camera and explain the reasons why she won't pull through, because because because and then well, if there is something that isn't total history... we shall give it a go. I have to go out and get some orchids out of the rain though. The forecast did not say rain at night, and some of them are in their masks 😱 flooded pots, I can hear the sloshing 🤫 more orchid neglect!! I would LOOOOVE to spike my hot chocolate with bailey's! Wow! I have not had that combo in years! Or with brandy, make it a Lumumba 😋 loved a nice lumumba back in the day. It will just be plain hot chocolate though. Until I find a job and then I shall be able to treat myself on some occasion. Living in hope, my friend, living in hope 🤪 thank you so so much for being here!! 😘❤️🌸
I just watched your video on Paphs from last year since that is a new direction for me. My question is, do you have a video on preparing LECA for potting? I tried looking through your videos but seem to be missing that one. Nevemind, just found it! duh!
Janina, hi 🥰💐 I am glad you found the video, I hope that it was detailed enough to answer your question. If you have any doubts, or see another video of similar nature pop up, then the information is the same, but there is one video called 'Dirty Leca' where I warn against 'shards' of broken leca in a bag. Adding that, I take the shards out so as to maintain the integrity of what leca does in the pot. Hope that wasn't too much information, but if you have any questions, please ask and I will be happy to clarify. 👍🏼 thank you so much for watching this shameful video... 😱 I appreciate your time and hope that you are having a great day 🥰🌸
Anna-Karin 😍💐 tack!! Jag uppskattar att du lämnade en kommentar, för ibland undrar jag 😅 tack så mycket för att du tittade, underbara dam! Jag uppskattar att du tar dig tid och det är trevligt att se dig igen 🫶🏼🌸

That was a big clean up but very well done. Way to go get at it. I am betting it'll bounce back. Looking forward to the follow ups

Wow Nina, so unlike you to neglect an orchid. My bet is that she makes it and grows beautifully. Thanks for sharing the ugly too. ❤🤗🥰❤️🩹
