I'm from Kansas City, but don't live there anymore, so seeing The River Market and Union Station was a nostalgic pleasure. Try Q39 for BBQ next time you're in town!
I have tasted Texas BBQ, Carolina BBQ, Memphis BBQ, and Kansas City BBQ, and Kansas City BBQ is the best. Nothing beats burnt ends. They are like meat candy.
Another great video. I love watching you guys, I must share that I battle some pretty severe depression and watching your videos is a total highlight of my day! I super look forward to your video releases! It might seem silly that something so trivial is so important to people like me but I'm sure many across the world right now can agree it's been a tough year and the lightness and sunny disposition of you guys is just so refreshing!!
Exercise hard, travel more, happiness is a habit and even deep depression can be beaten. You can do it. I invest in self hypnosis and it's been helping me deal with life in a much more meaningful way.
10:45 True story: the many, many counties in Texas that are 30 by 30 miles square were created that shape and size so that people living anywhere in the county could travel on horseback to the county seat in the center, conduct business, and return home all on the same day.
If you get to Kansas City again make sure you get to the WWI museum right by Union Station and Arthur Bryant’s bbq is one of my favorites! Not a resident but a frequent visitor And then come to South Dakota! There are a lot of fun places here!
Welcome to Kansas City. It can be clear and beautiful, 20 minutes later stormy and funnel clouds, a temp drop of 30 degrees, followed by more sunshine and a 40 degree temp increase.
The Steamboat museum is really neat so hopefully you get to visit again. You guys have to check out Boulevard Brewing, the WWI monument, and Parkville next time!
Living our travel dream lives throughout you guys rn durning this time!! We seriously can't wait to go to a warm beach someplace hopefully soonish!! We hope you both and everyone seeing this have an amazing day!🤗❤️🙏
Nice video guys...Kansas City is one of my favorite places that i visited and stayed more during my trip to US. I somehow feel so happy to see any video that is made on KC. Thanks and Cheers guys. :)
OMG - burnt ends are so amazing! When I was in KC, I had them everywhere I went, and Jack Stack BBQ had really good ones. I love your reaction when you tried them for the first time - I can relate!
That barbecue sauce sounds heavenly! Yummy. I hate you guys didn't get into the little train museum, but you did have a good day and thanks for sharing it with us!
I live in the Kansas City area. Joe's is my second favorite place just behind Smokehouse. You're right, every Kansas Citian has their own favorite place.
@@bmckong Thank you :) . Wishing all the people in KC and all over the world a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year 2022 in advance. :) Cheers..!!
They do it the first Wednesday of the month. Scared me every time! I grew up there, now I am homesick! I love the spice store! My sister came to Alaska to visit and filled a carry-on full of spices for me! And burnt ends 🥺 I miss you little chunks of heaven!
Finally made it to the end of all of your vlogs. It is so bittersweet. You guys have kept me sane during COVID!!! It has truly been an adventure living vicariously through your travels. Amazing content, editing, and impeccable video shots. Can’t wait to see the next adventure.
My mom starts missing you guys so much, it’s kinda hilarious at times. Since both of us are subscribed, she keeps asking me if a new video from you guys has popped in yet.
Burnt ends are made from the point from the Brisket. Most places cut it off from the brisket when that is done and smoke it for a while by itself.. It originated here in Kansas City
Oh. My. Word. That bbq looks insane! We LOVE bbq and now that we have a smoker, my husband is always smoking pork shoulder, ribs, making sauces, etc. Not complaining...we eat VERY well. We so enjoy your videos - so well produced and your sense of humor keeps us laughing. Have fun on the road trip and safe travels!
Love seeing you guys travel again! Seriously, you guys are the best presenters of food since the late great Anthony Bourdain. You guys make me crave what you present even if I am full!
You guys need to come back to the uk, in the north east we have an open air museum called beamish, and it’s all the history of the north east through the centuries and you can explore all sorts! Including an old mine. I’m so happy to see you guys on the road again!
I get so many itinerary ideas from watching your videos. 😊 Kansas City seems like a pretty cool place. Would have never even thought to go there! Glad I found your channel.
I just recently stumbled across you guys after falling down an RV renovation TH-cam hole and ended watching your entire RV series up until now and now I'm binge watching all of your past travels and living vicariously through you guys. I miss traveling soooo much and can't wait to get back at it and now I feel inspired to film and document my travels once everything is back to "normal". Just hoping my boyfriend is as keen on the idea. Thank you guys for filling the travel hole in my heart lol
Hey guys! Great video. Love to see adventures videos. The world is full of amazing places to visit. This place is on my trip list now! Thanks, guys for sharing!!!♥️
Great video as usual! Perfect video to cheer me up for a blah Monday. We were going to go to Canyonlands in Utah and a snowstorm is coming that weekend. That is Spring time in Colorado. I will have to get some BBQ!
Big smiles...I fly there from time to time for a bbq dinner and take Amtrak right back to California...I don’t stay over because the train doesn’t leave until 11pm so there’s time...and as a rule I eat at Jack Stack because it’s right next to the train station
If you love open air museums - next time you make it to the UK you need to visit West Stow. It's a reconstruction of an anglo-saxon settlement that they excavated in suffolk, and they have people doing experimental history and archaeology there. I have very fond memories of visiting it as a kid!
Oh, sad you couldn't get in the Steamboat Arabia museum! I've been twice, and would go again in a heartbeat. It is truly amazing to see all the items they have recovered, and are still cleaning for display! And that BBQ looked delicious! But then again, I never had a bad BBQ in KC, TBH. What a fun outing for you guys!
Mr Holiday...there ARE two separate cities; Kansas City, MO...population 500K, Kansas City, KS pop 150K. They are seperated by the state line and and the Kansas River. The KC metro area straddles two states. Kansas City, MO was incorporated and named for the Kansas River about 20 years before Kansas even gained territorial status, and Kansas City, KS was not founded until the 1880s.
There are two, and they actually don't straddle the state line. Most people think of KC MO, when they think of KC, but there most definitely is also a KC KS.
Hey so brisket isn’t actually burnt ends anymore, we use the point.. Texas Kees it attached and slices. We seperate and cube the point to make burnt ends
I live in KC - so glad you got to enjoy it - and Joe's has the best burnt ends in town, so you scored! Sorry the model trains were closed - they are always open when we go? Sad! It is so super cool.
Great video! Sitting on our sofa in the UK when the tornado alert came and the tornado alarm went off, I was shouting at the TV ‘run for cover’ and you were so chilled out...and then I realised why 🤣. Really enjoyed the video. The station looked fabulous and my husband loved the BBQ food. 👍🏻
KC girl here. This was a great representation of our city. Love Joes. They catered my wedding reception!
I have been to the steamboat museum and it is amazing. There were tons of goods on that steamboat.
I'm from Kansas City, but don't live there anymore, so seeing The River Market and Union Station was a nostalgic pleasure. Try Q39 for BBQ next time you're in town!

Jack Stack is a must try !
Alison's eyes when she took that bite gave me life!! "I would slap yo Mama and punch yo Daddy for that bite!" 😩😩😂😂 Gotta love em

Love the Steamboat museum!

After watching y'all for a few years you finally came to my hometown! Thanks so much for highlighting KC and best of luck on all you do! :)
I used to live outside of Kansas City when I was younger and have been to a few of those places so it was cool seeing how they look now.

KC native here. I think my fave now is Q but Smokehouse has an oddly awesome side salad of all things.
Jack Stack BBQ is amazing!! 😍
Yum yum😁😁 Take us to KANSAS😍😍

Other girls blushing by getting roses. Allison by getting a plate of burned ends. :D
Glad to see you're travelling again... I can live vicariously through you both!
LOVE KCMO. It’s, in my opinion, one of THE best US cities.
Curious, why not KCK?
@@AM.000 The Kansas side has its perks, but honestly, the Missouri side just has more to offer in my opinion
You really don’t know how much I look forward to your uploads! It’s like traveling from my sofa!! Amazing!!!
You guys are AMAZING! A real truth in the pandemic.
I love Kansas City!!
I just love you two and how your channel is still staying true to your original style but also trying something new (the rv) love you guys
New goal: meet y’all in person so I can hear your tornado story
It was a monthly test that went wrong. 😀
welcome to KC!!
For some reason I love watching you guys eat.
Agreed. They eat it while it is hot and don't just talk about it forever 😏
You missed the museum stuff on the 2 and 3 floor walk around at Union Station.
Watching your videos in 2160p is really satisfying

Welcome to KC! I smiled the whole time watching this video.
Tornado test was happening during that time. Yeah, we were confused too! Glad you came to Kansas City and enjoyed your time here! Love your channel.
