We flew from Houston to Honolulu in May 2011. We also flew first class. It was the first time for both of us to fly first class and it was a great experience. When we return to Hawaii, we'll fly first class again. It cost more, but it was worth it for us. We felt so rested when we landed. Continental was a great airline.
Would someone be able to tell me what kind of engine this is?The sound is very intresting to me after hearing a 777 on a previous video. GE Pratt Whitney????
out of all my years in houston, I have yet to go further than Calgary, Canada. I think this december, my family and I are taking Emirates or Qatar Airways out of IAH to India. Cant wait b/c I have never been in terminal D.
Those are not Rolls Royce Engines... you can tell from the distinct humming sound you get from a Turbofan Engine. Still... they are nice... but I love a Rolls Royce Engine more! :)
Chris H. Actually, Chris ... you're right. They are equipped with CF6 engines. It sounded like the P & W, my bad. I actually had to look it up. You got me !! Ha ha !!
the 764 is such an awesome plane! elegant shadow after take off too, great stuff!
That engine sound is INCREDIBLE!!
I like the 767 400 it's like a miniature 777 300

You flew right over my apartment. I hear that flight flying over me on the weekends.
I remember that engine sound very well as the 767-400ER was the very first wide-body jet I’ve ever flown in.

believe it or not, the 767 was the quietest passenger aircraft of its time... described as no louder than highway traffic. (:
Chris H. Great aircraft. I have flown on it many times on domestic and international flights. Note: I am not a pilot. 😀😀🛫✈️🛬
i love the tension at takeoff.

The beaches are awaitin'!
Someone give that pilot a ticket for speeding on the ramp

I wish i could be on 767-400
Thank You
do you remember if this jet had AVOD in the seats or was it a domestic configured jet?
Was this flight 1? Because at that time, one of the IAH-HNL flights, the morning flight, continued on to Agana, GU (GUM).
@TheAviation98 Thanks! I know! i miss it already!
i get to see this flight go over my house everyday as it crosses highway 290 and sometimes United uses a 772
@Airshowlover100 haha hurrying to get to paradise!

Chris H. That's a Pratt & Whitney engine ... PW4062 ... FYI :)

Love boeing.alot
GE??..they sound more like Trent 900
I said about 15 knot. I wasn't on this flight with a speedometer to accurately measure the taxi speed.
it only about 15 knots. average taxi speed on open taxiways.
which airline were you on?
It just looked fast from the inside.
7.5 hours of purgatory if something triggers and you gotta drop a deuce...
you get to your destination quicker when you got a pilot in a hurry.
Now I know why it taxied so fast, he was a continental pilot
those are GE engines
taxiing so fast..
2:23
he proberly taxis faster then he flys :/
nope. GE-CF6
