- Best landing ever! Accompanied by some of the best sounding engines in the world! I like them because they're different, a whine instead of a roar! but I loved the beautiful scenery on approach all the way to the gate! wasn't expecting it to be an outdoor airport though! anyways Here's all the flight information...

Best...Landing...EVER!!!! Loved that raw power in the reverse thrust.
Very cool video!!!!
Planning on heading here for vacation in February from NYC...Great sounds and quality video
Dayam, that FA1 announcement is LOOOONG!!!
This video is just PERFECT! THANK YOU SO MUCH 💖
Great approach & landing! Well done on the camera... perfect sound, video & angle shot... Thumbs Up & added to 'Favorites' Cheers
I miss it. I went July 20th from Houston. And went back through LA just for fun. I have to fly standby and we got the last two seats.
I’m late to the party but a fantastic video!!!
Richard Lewis you’re never too late! Thank you so much!
Such a beautiful aircraft.
very nice ,one off the best so far ,I've seen!
Smooooooooth!!!!!
Awesome! Your so lucky you went to Honolulu! :) Great vid though! :)
I didn't expect it to be an indoor/outdoor airport either! I was shocked and loved it though! I flew on a 767 as well except our flight was AA Oneworld 763 with winglets. We experienced a very bumpy approach that made just about every passenger outburst including myself. I wish I could've got it all on video but unfortunately my sis wanted to swap her isle seat for my window seat for Hawaii approach. Lol nice video btw!
WOW! I can't wait to go there! I am trying to plan a trip there soon!! It looks so beautiful!
Love the Engine sound.
Fantastic view! :)
Loved the two Delta 747's on the ground there.
Nice engine sound and view!
Awesome video
Excellent video, great engine sounds too liked and subbed.
I MISS the old Continental. Classy Airline
Yes I know. It's was the best Airline
Very nice video thanks for sharing, I too look forward to flying on United to HNL from IAD in United First class on 767-400.

Beautiful! Look at that wing flex! I have never been to Hawaii. It’s on my bucket list!! How long was the flight time?
@HDPlaneSpotter really? thats awesome! it was a great flight!

@xplane5000 thants cool! but dont hate on Continental... did you have a bad experience on them?
thanks for not adding music to it :D
Awesome video dude! Do you remember what seat this was?
@free2rhyme29100 That was Kalaeloa, also known as barbers point or John Rodger field. (PHJR). Only coast guards and flight schools fly there now. It used to be air force base but it got handed to the state in 1996 I believe!!???
Great video! Approach to rwy 8 L, HDG 090. Very beautiful, greetings from Germany,
Robert.
@KCBOYZ1307 me too I am so ready to go back! but that sounds like a way funner trip than direct!
@jamier78x I enjoyed the direct trip there, but I wouldn't have enjoyed it so much back. Idk why. I'm glad we went the way we did, we saw a QH380 when we got to LA. It was kool.
@KCBOYZ1307 wish i coulda done the stop in LA rather than another 767-400 flight, even though it was fun, just wish i coulda rode on a 757 haha, did you?
@free2rhyme29100
that's Barber's Point. Currently serves as operating airport for the coast guard C-130's and amateur landing/takeoff practices.
OMG since your a experience flight sim user you must know everything!!!!!!! Don't make fun of this guy everyone he's a expert!!!!!!
wow that was nothing but amazing.. hopefully I will be going there with my girlfriend next year..
@UnitedJetSetter It was AMAZING. its a must, that place is awesome!
What's that first airport that was seen?
Where was this plane coming from?
Awesome! I just realized I'm viewer # 100,001. HA!
Britt I really appreciate you watching my video. I mean 100k?! What an amazing feeling. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you so much as well as everyone else who views this video!!!
Hoo!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice sound!!!!! CF6-80c!!! Engine
I've flown aboard the 764 a while ago but didn't remember the engines having such a whine. I was aft of the wing, so I'm sure that's why
RIP Continental
Nice views from Hawaii
out of houston?
@HDPlaneSpotter it was jue 28th, and yes direct Houston to Honolulu
thats what i love about continental, its all GE powered. the 777s have the ge90-94b the 767 has the cf6.
@jamier78x Yeah I flew a 757-200 from LA to IAH, we flew a 737-800 from HNL to LA. I loved the trip, definitly one of my favorites! I'm ready to go back haha.
nice this iron bird!
Miss being on the plane from Florida to Hawaii, you"ll be amazed that,If you fly alaska airlines, you"ll get a Mai-Tai as a welcome drink and it was really good and If you fly United, you may have to play a trivia game to win a prize, last price was a IZ Cd ,he was weighted over 700 pounds and died from Heart failer, may God rest his soul.He died as a young fella. If you are traveling from California,be sure to be on the left side,so you can see the Islands first.Mahalo.
Used to be Barber's Point Naval Air Station. Now it's been given to the small aircraft traffic.
those are cf6's.they use those on the previous models,md11's and 747's as well.they are also used on dc10's but it's a different version of the same engine.
So iconic! Do y’all still remember this?
Seth Guardado Like it was yesterday!
How much money buy! The Boeing 767 400
What's The seat number? Great vid!!
Probably 1st class! I would bet on it!
Nice vid, how do you peple not clap!
@jamier78x ni its Honolulu international air port in Oahu
What seat row?
@free2rhyme29100 i believe, that its Oahu's military base
that N1 !!
two Delta 744s nice!
why so much throTtle up near the start?
@RatDaddy3 beautiful isnt it? i want to go back!
Did he do a go around
man i miss phnl as i like the open air terminal
@TheAviation98 Thanks!
@southwest737pilot 767 is the normal one... They use it on their pacific routes..to and from guam to newark and houston...they dont use it now tho between guam and honolulu...they use united's 777 now!!
@twigxc7 Thanks! I know, i miss it already!
the different thrust noise is the ILS-autothrottle.
What are you talking about...
MusicLover11325,,, Don't worry about it ,,, He knows what he's talking about ,,, Very knowledgable as a matter of fact ,,,
Roy Mckenzie You've got to be kidding me, alright if you can support it, let me hear it. I know more than he does as a matter of fact. The reason why I asked "what are you talking about" is not because I don't understand, but the statement was utter crap and doesn't make any sense. First of all, ILS is an instrument landing system. It's a nav aid for aircraft to track their way to the runway via a localizer and a glideslope. The autothrottle is an automated system on the aircraft that controls the throttle. He doesn't know if that is even the autothrottle or the pilot manually increasing and decreasing thrust. This might not even be an ILS approach..
MusicLover11325
Thank U anyway. I´m sorry for misjudged you. bye, Robert.
GE’s definitely whine while RR’s and PW’s roar
@airplan3z im not sure! it was an amazing landing!
I went and did some digging over at flightaware.com, and believe to have found the tracking page for this particular flight. According to one of your comments below, this was on June 28th, 2011. Here's the link: flightaware.com/live/flight/COA1/history/20110628/1455Z/KIAH/PHNL Tail number was N59053, a 767-400ER. I flew on this exact aircraft on Continental flight 15 back on 7/18/07 from Newark to Honolulu. Flight wound up being 9h59min, scheduled 10h35min. Great video, I enjoyed it!
captin is puting full throttel every 5 seconds
Read the title. But it wouldn't matter now though.. they're both the same company!
@4:23 i thought it was a go-around haha :D
какая красавица наша планета:)
i sure will!!!
sweet
I'm am drunk as fuck. Plus I love aviation. Plus this video included the approach and taxi to the gate. Yo yay. Ps:I favorited this video and liked it.
You can see Diamond head on the far left of the window.
@jamier78x Its mainly because they dont offer much, no free food and very little legroom. I prefer JetBlue because they offer more band per buck.
"You can't activate reverse thrust, until the nose touches the ground!"
That's not true, at all.
"I've also wonder, how do the pilots activate the spoilers so quickly on landing?"
They don't. It's an automatic feature that kicks it as soon as both trucks of the main landing gear touch the ground together. If the plane lands unevenly tilted, it waits until they both have contact.
@xplane5000 i totally agree with you!
wow
@geegang haha I know right!
well now that united has them yes sometimes
They arm the spoilers to deploy automatically during landing.
@RatedRo I know right!?! 2 for 1 special!
