I found this video so I could INCREASE the popping. My 954rr pops beautifully between 4-5k RPM and I LOVE it. I want to get my 929rr to do the same thing, it has a PCIII but doesnt pop.
If you have a tuner nearby, he can change the stock ecu setting. There is a setting on there to turn on or off ignition with closed throttle which increases popping. All new japanese bikes has it I'm not sure if the option is there in older bikes like yours. Should be there.
@@nnlniclb Is there a way to do this in the PCV software? I have an ignition module and I know you can advance or retard the timing, but can you shut off the ignition entirely?
Just wanted to say thanks! I added the 15 from 2000rpm on and it fixed my deceleration pop, I was even able to remove my baffle again and it still does not pop.
Why? It's actually much simpler. Now you simply give numeric value to increase or decrease fuel flow. On decel situations this is pretty much equivalent of messing with idle mixture screw for the most part. But with programmable ecu you can tune everything on specific load and rpm range. It's much harder with carbs to do specific changes in fuel mixture. Sometimes downright impossible.
Mine only pops after an hour of riding on a hot day and it doesn't do it often when it does it. I actually like it. I have a power commander and a full exhaust
So from your video My takeaway is that a newer bikes that the ECU closes off the injectors completely on decel that no matter how much you adjust the zero table it will do nothing since the injectors are completely shut off by the ECU. Other then have the ECU itself flashed
Thanks for the video. Two questions:1) Can I get thermic shock and pistons or valve seat crack due to fuel being injected at closed throttle position?2) From witch values I will start to have flames on the exhaust sending fuel at closed TP? RegardsGuz
You still have spark even when your throttle is closed on decel unless you turn off your engine kill switch or key...... So add hella fuel and retard the shit out of the entire Dynojet PCV Fuel & Ignition (Throttle Position %) 0% column of the tune your running and it will be 4th Of July out your pipes!! Enjoy riding through the hood n watching gang bangers drop to the ground or take off running!!!! Also, enjoy the red n blue lights pulling you over for being completely obnoxious and watching your scooter driving off on a flatbed tow truck....
I have also made some changes to my GS recently. I have replaced the stock exhaust with akrapovic racing line(carbon fiber) and BMC air filter(stock replacement) in place of stock air filter. I have noticed some good gains and great growling from the bike. After all this now i am little concerned about the air fuel mixture. Do you think the g310 siblings need ecu remapping after exhaust and air filter upgrade ? Ps - I have heard many people saying that the O2 sensor would self correct and take care of it.
So I just bought a 2021 z125 pro with yoshi pipe on it, it has tunes and everything and it decel pops 2 out of 3 times when I let of the gas going anywhere between 35-60 mph I don’t mind it and actually think it sounds cool but I don’t want it to cause any potential engine damage so my question being if I were to just leave it be would it fuck up my Engine in any way ?
Nendo Crescendo no it’s not bad for the bike in any way. You can keep it or get rid of it if you get a proper ECU flash or block off plates. It’s for emissions control.
As mentioned in the video, decel pop occurs already, but it isn't as noticeable with a stock exhaust setup. On another note, lots of riders replace their exhaust because it's so quiet, thereby encouraging the pop to occur.
I remove my AIS valve with block off plates and I disable the AIS valve through the ECU For dyno tuning purposes BUT BUT.... but I would still like to get the popping and crackling how could I accomplish that after installing the block off plates and removing the ais kit
My fi light came on after installing the block off plates and the risistor plug it came with. Code #64 for a Kawasaki 650 Ninja idk how to get the fi light to reset
how can i make my bike not smell like petrol with my pcfc. I ran various map on it and still have the horrible petrol smell. exhaust is a full 200mm can delkevic, no muffler, decat
I am looking to get a PCFC but need some guidance on tuning. Looking for some type of "tuning for beginners" website or book. I wouldn't know where to go. Should I go richer? and how much? In this video, he goes richer in increments of 5 but when he goes leaner he starts off with -60. Where can we get some information on tuning with a PC? I know leaner can ruin a bike by burning up the valves, where can we find some basic tuning knowledge?

if anything its looked at as a badly tuned or badly running motorcycle to most people. so if your popping like crazy it makes you look like you dont know what your doing with your bike..

Wait. People want to get rid of decel popping?
Yeah. To me it's indication of poorly tuned equipment.

That you for this video. I thought something might be wrong with my bike. I have an FMF pipe on it (KLX300R) and it has some decel pop. Thank you!

does installing a decat increases the risk of deceleration popping?
Could you use this technique to get rid of engine breaking?
On a shaft driven (metric) bike, the engine breaking is increased, when compared to a Harley-Davidson for example.

Is decel popping bad itself (not caused by exhaust leaks) bad in any way?
