tips: fill your deck with 1 star and 2 star cards. Cactuar might be the best card, run two of them. Mulligan aggressively for cactuar. Cactuar top left, titan right under is a very strong opening. Follow it up usually with putting another card immediately to Titan's right, like sweeper, riot guard, etc. Always try to be developing your board while cutting off your opponent's board development.
I really appreciate that your videos are instructional and guided instead of just being bullet points to be fulfilled. If I have to look elsewhere to get what is indicated in the video then I'm just wasting my time. Thanks man!
Tips that have helped me. 1. Try to start with at least 4x 1 pawn cards. 2. Avoid making first moves that are directly next to them. It's more effective to engage by countering them if they try to push you. 3. 1 pawn cards with side spaces like security officer can be really good for countering. 4. Anticipate their next move when attacking. 5. If you lose too much, try remembering your opponents' card effects or read them.
It’s amazing how powerful the Security Officer card is. I always save my second one for later in the match and it has won me 90% of my matches by causing the enemy to be locked out of moves.
I've found focusing on the benefits of Chocobo and Moogle can be sketchy but rewarding. Catuar, Mu, Crab with C&M is definitely the core. After that it's using what good 1 and 2 pawns you can get your hands on.

It's still possible to win the whole boat tournament with the starter deck I managed to do it granted had to start a couple matches over but still managed to do it. It gave me deep joy to be able to forfeit the tournament on the boat. Unless these cards can be turned into something like 100 heroes for the Laguna card in FF8. I didn’t even like that the game forced me to play a hand… I just gave up and lost.
Its actually so fun ive spent hours just playing against the opponents in the game for practice as well as its just so fun they could sell this as a legit physical card game in real life
Honestly didn’t think I’d like the game, but the card system is legit. It’s not no FF8 card game, but it’s unique. Sucks that winning doesn’t warrant a card from the loser.
Of course you get to go back to Junon. The game doesn't say anymore, it says "for some time". As soon as chapter 7 opens up, you can fast travel back for 300 Gil.
I've been ending the game once I have them locked up and have a minimum winning number of points. Is it important to keep laying down cards down to maximize score for some reason?
Not to be "that guy" but I'm gonna. You don't have to do it all before then. I mean should you? yeah if you want all the cards on time, but you can return later on. I didn't complete all of the Junon games. I got stuck on the twins and was like eh screw this I'll do it later. there were a couple players left. Then, as a level 2 card player, I burned through the championship. Just gotta be smart. But the chocobo, Cactuar, the crab thing that has a bonus position above it are all game changers. if you can manage to play it, the magic pot is also great since it has 4 bonus space options. Just gotta play to your strengths, and using the Point addition technique carried me. you can do it! :D
Extremely difficult my rear... I was able to beat all six, including the secret challenger, with the STARTING DECK. Yes, it took a few restarts but I made them look like 'newbs' as the saying goes.
I've really struggled with QB, i tried to go back after finishing the MSQ. The opening 3 opponents in kalm shut me out. The opponent seems to always counter me. Trying to follow but still getting roflstomped by the kalm opponents. I seem to never be able to place anything past the 2nd row, like i can't seem to be able to place anything, the opponent always has more places to put their cards.
the QB tournament can be brute forced, you can just keep restarting the match until you win, I did it with the starter deck only took about 15 minutes.
At the start of the game I was feeling like buying the store packs and cards but with my low gil I was stingy with spending but now a but further in I got like 14k so they feel cheap enough to buy now.

Oof already left and am on the boat looks like ima have to buy as many packs as i can on the boat 🥴
I got the phoenix and Titan cards from him but those other 2 booster packs were not available for some reason.
The ifrit card is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It gave me deep joy to be able to forfeit the tournament on the boat. Unless these cards can be turned into something like 100 heroes for the Laguna card in FF8. I didn’t even like that the game forced me to play a hand… I just gave up and lost.
You just miss ifrit card and assess materia earrings
Actually I just one lol 🎉thanks bro
They need make this card game online and mobile I’d play it religiously
AGREED that would be insane
THATS WHAT I WAS SAYING!!!!
You do get prize cards from unique people you battle
Of course you get to go back to Junon. The game doesn't say anymore, it says "for some time". As soon as chapter 7 opens up, you can fast travel back for 300 Gil.
I have been destroying all opponents with my turks and shinra security deck
Shiva is a late play card for sure... lowkey Quetzacoatal is a dope card. Gods diagonal and forward for only 2.
I've been ending the game once I have them locked up and have a minimum winning number of points. Is it important to keep laying down cards down to maximize score for some reason?
What about the twins in junon? You didn't play them?
you are making me keep going back to Junon.....lol
You should! lol
I still won and I went back after Costa del so red 13 was the hardest challenge took me a few times
Hey thanks for sharing!
Well Damn, guess I'm SoL, but I did unlock the ferry to take me back to Junon...if that's possible to do.
Ya you can head back now
You don't really have to win the tournament. You can just forfeit if you're not hell bent on 100%.
I did every queens blood match before the gold saucer and it locked me out of hath the matches because I’m not blood king rank for some reason
You can always return back
@@PhillyBeatzGames oh can you I though this stuff was only for the date
i wish i would have known all this before i got on the ship
Upgraded Triple Triad, love it.
I love this game
Hey wzup I noticed you didn't include Navalan Level 5 Blood Knight how do I reach that rank to play him I defeated everyone else?🤔
I forgot the twins
@PhillyBeatzGames they're the hardest I think I've gotten through everyone else in junon but them.
I beat the tournament with the starter deck
I bought the Crawler pack in Juno but I don’t see them in my deck when I go to esit
Nvm Ordered Obtained
W
the QB tournament can be brute forced, you can just keep restarting the match until you win, I did it with the starter deck only took about 15 minutes.
It’s so annoying restarting 😭
@@PhillyBeatzGames perhaps so but you can reset from the menu when you have figured you've lost and getting back in is pretty quick.
Best score was against the last guy on Tifa’s side mission. 33-0
Nice!!!
Damn, I totally missed grabbing Phoenix and already past the point of no return. Am I SOL?
You can take a boat back after chapter 7 starts
I beat all queensblood match with the default deck. Just kept resetting the match until they fucked up lol
At the start of the game I was feeling like buying the store packs and cards but with my low gil I was stingy with spending but now a but further in I got like 14k so they feel cheap enough to buy now.
If I missed cards in Kalm at the start before Grasslands, can I go back to get those?
Same cards should be available in other shops and you can fast travel back to thorin
Crap... I missed the Junon deck area. Now I'm in the QB tournament and had to forfeit :(
You can buy some decks on the boat
Extremely difficult tournament on the ship is a bit of an overstatement, the tournament was piss easy tbh.
You are just good at the game
Needed this
