I bought my 2019 Arteon SE 4motion in December of 2019 on sale for $33,000. I think your assessment is spot on, I absolutely love my car. It handles better than a car this size should, feels very well put together, has tons of room, is excellent in the snow, has plenty of power, and on road trips I can get around 530 miles to a tank of premium fuel. And you're right, the guys at work always want to go to lunch in my car. Lastly, I've always liked driving something different than everyone else. In 13 months I've only seen three Arteons in the wild between Northern NY and New England.
After Driving an Arteon R-line SEL Premium for a week I traded in my 3.6 Panamera 4 for it. It has just as much room inside, a bigger boot and a great warranty.
I have the 2022 Lapiz Blue Arteon. The 300 hp bump and DCT really makes it feel special. I drove the 2019 and it was excellent. The 2022 and 2023 are amazing. Just that much better

All of the wonderful German “flair” and sensuous styling that both reviewers are looking for are available from VW in the Arteon Shooting Brake, just not in this country. Why oh why are Is the US buying public so blind to estates and s.w. ? I won’t say that station wagon name because that’s a big part of the problem. An estate will outhandle an SUV or crossover, has comparable equally usable passenger and cargo room and are less expensive to operate and, generally, to purchase. Subaru alone has found the magic formula to sell an estate in large number and Volvo, God bless em, continues to offer a range of estates with Audi also trying. Get smart USA. SUVs are just muscular minivans!

Well, I agree that when I drive this car, people might say 'spent well' but not spent smartly. The reason is when compared to the top specs of Accord/Camry/Mazda 6, it nowhere looks as good as those cars and falls way short of reliability. So, in order to be known as "Spent well and spent Smart", any choice among Accord/Camry/Mazda 6 will do than to this Arteon. Otherwise great review guys. Loved it!

How does the cruise control work- maintain distance, stay in the lane like a Volvo cruise control or not?

It’d probably be a great car, VW’s almost always are, but they are also very plain and just don’t install any enthusiasm in me. My sedan doesn’t need to be sporty but should elicit something
The engine should be tuned up to 300 horse power.

Guy in the blue is spot on. I ended up selling my 2020 Arteon because it rode well, it was comfy, but it just felt bland.
You should have traded in for the vastly improved 2022+ Arteon with the 300HP/295TQ MK8 Golf R engine and 7-Speed DSG transmission. The interior was vastly improved too.
@@Pamlicojdjdj1487 I thought about it, but I hate the haptic buttons, and the DSG in my 2010 Golf started having problems by 100k miles. The earlier Arteon 8-speed was Aisin (Toyota), one of the reasons I bought it.

The man in blue shirt should talk less and try less hard in trying to be funny. Not cutting it sorry. Too much purely subjective "personality obsessed" rambling, too little on features and demonstration of things, positive and negative that would meaningfully help potential buyers. Introspect why so few views and just one comment until now. You can and should improve.
You failed to mention its primary competitor - Kia stinger. Wake up
No one in North America is going to invest in a "luxury" vw if they mass produce unreliable and low quality production vehicles. VW has not earned that level of respect,

Speak for yourself. Many people invest in higher trim vehicles from other brands, regardless of stats or reliability. VW isn’t any exception.
