I have a distinct childhood memory of going to my black friends church sleepover and was literally the only white person there. Even though I didn't care about race it still was a feeling that I didn't belong and was an outsider. Then I realized that's how my friend feels all the time being one of like a couple black students at school. It really is something you don't realize being the majority. Especially as a kid when your insecure and just want to fit in. Really stuck in my mind and was a good lesson.

Destiny read a chatter's comment like a week ago saying that Michael Malice guy was talking about Destiny and the ban. If Destiny could get on Malice's show I think Malice could get Steven on to Joe Rogan's show. Malice has been on JRE a bunch of times and is like good friends with Jroegan or something. I think that would be pretty tits for Steven. Make it happen DGG. I heard you freaks can bully anyone into anything..

I think this is the case for all progressives and all minorities - and for that matter, for all rightwing people and all minorities. They only ever encounter the minorities that exist within their, like, circle of types of people. The Kat Blaques of the world don't represent the real, average black person experience or views, and neither do the Jesse Lee Peterson's of the world. Both groups are finding their tokens that voice their own opinions back at them, and both of them do the stereotypical majority thing where they go "oh, see this one token? ALL of the group that token represents in my mind agree with this view, which just so happens to be my view".
The only difference between the right and left's usage of tokens is that often on the right they're being used to justify bigotry against the token's group, whereas that's less frequently the case on the left (though, let's not forget how the white online left reacted when black people didn't behave in the way they thought they should during the last primaries and they constantly decried "uninformed blacks voting against their own interests", or even now with that gay moderate politician that this video starting off discussing. Both groups like minorities until they don't toe the line and agree with everything they have to say, when they don't they show what they really feel about these groups.
It's gross and I'm exhausted. It's obvious to me that the left have it more right than the right, but the further you go on both ends of the spectrum the more similar they become. I'm seeing it. The horseshoe. I can't go back. Please wake me from this nightmare.

Plus, Vaush has had it easier than most gay people. He has liberal/accepting parents, has lived in extremely accepting areas his whole life, and works for himself so doesn't have to worry about homophobic coworkers. So I guess he's less sensitive to homophobia and how much it can hurt.

33:54 - It's crazy to me that a lot of people don't really understand slurs in anyway other than the ruleset they've been given (you can say ABC, but not xyz, for example). I once had a friend in school who genuinely wasn't homophobic or anything and he asked me if it offended me if he made jokes with the word "faggot" or used "faggot" ironically (it was in a pretty natural context, not as weird as it sounds here), I said "sure" because the word itself doesn't hurt, so as long as it is used responsibly and with a feeling for when it's okay and when it isn't, it didn't really bother me at all. The problem came when this word soon overtook his vocabulary and he used it left and right, greeting me with "hey faggot!" and so on, at which point it really rubbed me the wrong way. It's a bit like the "gusano" thing, if the only reason you keep calling a queer guy "fag", however jokingly or ironically, is because he fits the category, and if you don't personally fit that category, then it's still othering and pretty weird.

It's such a fucking shame that these people have risen to popularity on the shoulders of Destiny. Entire sprouting of breadtube community is going forever be Destiny's primordial sin. Now these same people try to rewrite history and erase Destiny's pioneer role in the genre of online stream political debate. It wouldn't be this painful if breadtubers followed any sort of principles or had any coherent logic and instead became a festering den of debate bro grifters. Listening to anything coming out of Hassan's or Vaush's mouth is an astonishing and exhausting experience - never before someone was able to say so little while using so many words. Now it wasn’t a dog pile it was one person and my friend obvs didn’t get offended. Now this doesn’t mean that this joke would be okay to just use on some random gay person obviously. Why is this so hard to understand? Within in groups certain things are okay it’s kinda how we just are. Maybe idk if we can’t help it. I swear me and my friends are total semi sjw we see that shit or it happens to us in the street it’s gonna a yell off at the bigots. But when we joke around we make jokes like the one above. Question about how Destiny tolerates Nick Fuentes, Destiny responds with a valid reason why it’s easier for him to BE FRIENDS with conservatives, a week later Destiny reacts incredibly defensively about how he’s NOT FRIENDS with Nick and just debates him sometimes (twitter).
I’m an ancap and think both Nick and Destiny’s views on a lot of shit are crazy, that being said I think Destiny is a lot more genuine than Nick. I like Destiny because he seems to rarely sacrifice his actual beliefs to be liked more or tow the leftist line (and his interactions with chat are proof) but if he’s gonna say he’s a friend of Nicks on stream (with valid reason) he better be willing to back that shit up on twitter

I'm pretty sure he just means his conservative friends in general and Nick is just one of the conservative if an extreme one that he frequently talks to. @@DrBocks Oh he has now made it very clear that he is not friends with Nick, I just don’t understand why he answered the question about Nick with why it is easier to be friends with conservatives. I’d guess at least 50% of people who watch that interpret it how I did and I think it’s silly to pretend that that’s a delusional interpretation like he has on Twitter in response to all the deranged leftists who want to drag him for it. Instead of getting pissed and going off about how much he isn’t friends with Nick, he should’ve just explained to them why it’s so much easier to associate with people like Nick as opposed to the crazies on Twitter that got him banned and think talking to someone means you agree with all of their positions

@@TheRealGeorgeWashington I don't go to Twitter, way too much of a cesspool. He is still on the left and has to prove to the mob that he is still on their side or else he might get banned from more than just twitch and Twitter I suppose, and he probably also wanted to correct the Nick thing because he probably really dislikes him and saying that probably set off some people closer to him and he is doing what damage control he thinks will work

Hell, in the 30s it was used to describe Italian mobsters. "Thug" is literally just a synonym for "criminal," and not all criminals are black. It almost seems racist to assume otherwise.
If you don't wanna be referred to as a thug, don't be a criminal. White, black, Asian, doesn't matter. Once you're a criminal, you're just gonna be lumped in with everyone else who's a criminal and thus be referred to as "thug" as a result.

Destiny bad take: minorities okay the use of slurs or tell jokes that stereotype them to fit in with the majority. No. Some minorities (because we are not a monolith) do this because they want to be treated the same. Men, especially, like to rag on each other. Who wants to be the person who walks into the room and it causes the behavior of everyone to change, especially when it sucks the fun out of the room. White comedians tell jokes that make fun of their ethnicity all of the time, but when a minority does it it's because he wants to fit in with the Whites? That's condescending and is typical of a White progressive attitude/take.

Therefore, the previous commenter is valid in pointing out a relevant problem with your unfortunate reasoning.
Furthermore, white people make many different jokes, with their identity as white contributing to a minority of those jokes. However, Asian people will very frequently tell jokes about how shitty and "Asian" their family was, about how they are bad at math or chose a "failure major" which greatly upset their super Asian parents, or about how their parents don't understand enguish. In an attempt to not seem like a triggered sjw, minorities who frequently make self deprecating jokes will reinforce stereotypes of their group and will demonstrate that they have no respect for their minority group nor themselves.
