There's so many reasons, like a plethora of reasons, like a bunch of reasons. First of all (and Destiny knows this), among all of the vast number of reasons for this, there's one fact that everyone knows and it would be laughable to suggest otherwise. I mean, cmon a lot of these reasons are so obvious and apparent that even asking for them to be named would be just so bad faith and uncharitable. Like with so many options of examples to choose from, it's dishonest to even suggest that there aren't super obvious reasons. I bet you didn't even watch the vod where she explicitly and plainly flat out gives all the reasons. It's so bad faith to ask for the things she already stated that I don't even see a need to continue the discussion (NOT a debate). To even call it a discussion would be too charitable. It was really just DM being super clear in meaning (unbelievably clear) and vaush talking past her (in bad faith, mind you). Like so bad faith and so uncharitable.
So I hope that clears things up. I clearly and plainly gave the reasons and any allusion or suggestion that I didn't is bad faith and not worth further discussion.

I’ve listened to this whole saga and I still have no idea what she thinks about anything. For or against the fda? Increasing government control or against? Replace it with something better, like what? What action are we taking? Am I the only one? What am I missing?
It’s like the people who say “we should produce oil here in the US, and we should pay less at the pump” but have no idea what OPEC is or how supply and demand works. It just feels like they’re saying “good thing good, bad thing bad” over and over
You don't listen to DM for information, you listen to her for the surprise of which emotion you might feel: Usually some odd mix of sadness or rage due to the level of stupidity of her takes. Then again, sometimes you get to indulge in a feeling of intellectual superiority. She's really good at sprinkling in suspense with indefinite meaningless sentences, that somehow seem to take you somewhere, but ultimately just leave you confused and pensive. It's quite curious what effects her takes have, honestly, but not anything close to being informative.
It's because she's fucking lying. She was arguing for something stupid and she has no way of just saying she was wrong, so instead she "covertly" (extremely obviously) changes her opinion and then shouts at everyone for interpreting her correctly. She believes something she can't support because it's so fucking braindead, so she just lies and tries to support something more defensible. This would be doable if she was smart enough to lie, she's not though, so other parts of the actual stupid shit she believes seeps out which makes her entire philosophy seem disjointed.
So for example what she actually believes is that the large integrated supply networks should be disbanded in favor of local projects to make medicine. This is what she actually believes and it is fucking deranged. She instead however claims all that she was supporting was parallel structures. This is less deranged but she doesn't actually just believe this.
Her argument on everything is "abolish the current system and replace it from scratch with something that has all of the advantages of the current system and none of the disadvantages". It's infantile, ignorant of even the most basic information on the topic, and not worth taking seriously.
She thinks nothing about it. It's just empty words and rambling sentences about how the entire world would be fixed if people didn't need to work. Then self flattery about how smart and clever she is.

I think people really underestimate how much education goes into creating medication. I have a BS in Chem I'm not qualified in any way to produce any medication you cant just crack open some books and understand graduate level Biochem education and be able to make your own medication. Biochemistry books are not fucking cookbooks.
as a fellow science major with several friends who are specialized chemists... NONE of us understand what the others do. even slightly. it's so specialized that even fellow specialists don't comprehend it.

CBD, as opposed to THC, is usually the cannabinoid meant for "dealing with pain," but the way DM is stating how cannabis is a miracle pain killer is just a complete gross overstatement of how well cannabis works as a "pain killer." Like it'll help for muscle aches, pulled muscles, and sorta light to medium-ish ailments, but it isn't something that is going to make your pain go away after a major surgery or something.
Like I smoke all the time because it helps with soreness from BJJ, but when I pulled my sciatic nerve from trying to be David Goggins running my ass everyday, bud didn't help with that at all lmaooo, however, the THC/CBD infused topical ointments did help though it wasn't something that made my pain go away or like feel better, it just made it manageable. As far as other people though I'd assume they'd want relief of pain not just "less pain" haha
Another anecdotal example: My cousin who is also huge pot head is super against meds/pain killers and even he took some pain killers after getting his pancreas removed due to pancreatitis. Granted he only did that for when the pain was pretty extreme the first days/week, but after that he went back to smoking bud and even using cbd tinctures/edibles. Even then he told me himself that the pain he felt was so bad he knew bud wouldn't help, and he also said it opened his eyes to how good modern medicine can be when the natural stuff fails lmaoooo

@@oxxy6678 Pot-head here and I get tired of all the crazy amount of wonder-drug praise it gets. It has its pros and cons just like any medicine. I've even had it make my pain worse in the past. I mainly use it for extreme anxiety depression, but then again, the come down can make those two things even worse. Also, I love me some opioids but if I took them as much as I really wanted to, I'd be hardcore addicted.

In my experience with people who smoke, unless they are using it for cancer or sleep or some legitimate reason, I've never met a daily smoker who didnt have a shitload of issues that it was obvious they were ignoring with pot. But weed can be pretty anxiety inducing sometimes, so they would like freak out while stoned because of their shitty situation, lol.
I personally couldnt imagine using pot for chronic pain. If I smoke weed with even a little anxiety I will just have a panic attack for 3 hours. I've had amazing weed experiences but mostly I honestly hate the shit.
Also I'm actually addicted to opioids, it definitely has its ups and downs lol. They definitely help me handle my rough schedule of an electrical engineering degree and working at the same time. I think they are probably the most enjoyable compound, and I struggle a lot with mental health issues myself, so its hard to put down the fork down so to speak.

Edibles helped when I was recovering from surgery (cause drs are too scared to prescribe anything useful) but weed isn't enough for someone like my mom that deals with chronic pain and illness every day
It’s not that doctors are scared to prescribe opioids. The issue is that the DEA (I believe) ordered a massive reduction in opioid prescriptions due to the havoc it has wreaked on our nation. They should be a last resort. I’m a recovering heroin addict who got his first taste of opiates via oxycodone, and I promise you that there are few conditions worse than the daily life of an addict.
Hospice? Have at it. Go full throttle. Give a terminally ill patient as much morphine as they want and let them die in euphoria. Short of that, there has to be great discretion.

My mom has been chronically ill my entire life, when she got on methadone (legally) it changed our families life because she was able to do stuff with us for the first time as it is the only medication that successfully managed her pain. It wasn't too strong or too weak. A few years ago her doctor retired and she couldn't find a single doctor in the whole city that would work with her because she was on methadone. She was treated like an addcit even tho she used her prescription legally and responsibly. She was forced to detox at home and is back to being bed ridden in constant pain. My partner is a recovering addict i know how devastating addiction can be but i also know not having access to proper medication has devastated my moms (and by extension her families) quality of life. Opioids don't need to be handed out like candy as they were but doctors absolutely are too scared to touch them now and it's hurting people that genuinely benefit from them
@@cheapypeepy9150 I don’t think we’re on vastly different pages. They were overprescribed, now they’re arguably underprescribed, which has led to a massive increase in heroin use. It’s cheaper than finding pills on the street and is generally a hell of a lot more euphoric than any pharmaceutical opiate, which, once one gets a taste for, becomes a large part of the benefit, perceived or real.

I’ve been on morphine for over 10 years to manage my chronic pain. Before I was put on them I was absolutely not functional and now I run my own moderately successful business. When handled correctly, opioids can absolutely improve peoples quality of life.
@@cheapypeepy9150 An organ being removed does not necessarily entitle you to access to opioids, as there are plenty of factors you have to take into account; and if you did strongly feel you were underprescribed, it's your responsibility to discuss with your doctor your difficulties with pain management with the prescription you're given.
The healthcare system does have an issue with stigmatizing addiction, but how do you know that was the reason behind your mother not finding a doctor? Most cities have quite a few pain management services specialized entirely for this purpose.
It's not entirely up to the doctors what to prescribe; they themselves are tied down by rules and regulations imposed by private MCOs and especially CMS and other federal agencies. Blaming doctors and calling them too scared to give a certain prescription based on your n = 3 experiences is an utterly idiotic and baseless accusation.

Crucible knights are like the black knights from dark souls on steroids. It's meant to be a quite hard fight for the region it is in, and I think destiny has also been neglecting upgrading his weapons on top of not levelling health on purpose.
