I owned the same exact car SEL. The transmissions in these were very unreliable. You had to know how to drive it. You had to use your feet to tell the computer how to shift. I loved the car and in 80,000 Mike's I had zero issues with it. Damn deer put her in a forever sleep.

    I got a 2015 in 2019 for $9995
It had 44,000 miles on it.
    In 2024 it has 200,000 miles .
The only thing that I have had fixed was a wheel bearing.
    Gets 41 mpg .
When it dies I will try to find a good 1018 model with low miles

I like the 2017 but I like the old school why where you had to put your hand on the passenger side to look back

Unless it has a manual No!.. That Dry Dual Clutch is not reliable at all! Also My 1st car was an 89 Accord Lx-i 5Spd Manual in 2004 at 15 lol. I still have it! Lol

The ford focus is like Saturn's. Nobody wants them whether their manual or not. Ford butchered the design of the third generation focus so bad. It basically killed this car and all small ford's.

@bashfullj88 Ford kill the car off because of an image problem because of the automatic transmission they used, which made up the vast majority of there buyers, the car itself is very well built. The focus is very Maintenance friendly, The MTX75 manual transmission has been proven with over 30 years of use with only minor changes and is also very easy to service. It don't need a special transmission service procedures like the 6f35 automatic transmission or the 10R80 does, drain it like your draining your engine oil and refill to it comes out of the fill port, cap it and done!
