After 75K on my 14 focus with no problems on the auto transmission, I’ll declare it a great little car. It has its hiccups from time to time but it has yet to let me down. I think that all of them are good except for the 2012 models, they are the true lemons of the mk3 foci.
Maxi V I’d say so. The focus like all small cars drops in value like the nasdaq did in ‘09. My only gripe about the focus and Ecosport is that the duratec 20 engine leaks oil like a sieve from the valve covers.
Lol we bought a 2017 Ford Focus SEL the sedan variant. Has the sunroof the 17” painted rims, fog lights, LED lights, the sunroof, dual zone climate control, sync 3 with navigation and has ambient lighting, and the center screen with all the information and shows your speed on the screen how fast your going. And has the 2.0L GDI engine. And has the Sony audio system. With satellite radio. Only had to pay about $22,000 and got it for 17K and it’s more loaded as an SEL with the Oxford white paint
Jonathan A they won’t go out my god. It has the select shift 6 speed automatic our Sedan doesn’t have the dual clutch. The S and SE trim levels have that transmission. Your just hating on them only because you never driven a newer one at least 2016. We put 21,000 miles and no problem on the transmission so haha in less than a year. This car is more fun to drive and likes to rev to 7,000 in sport mode S1 with traction control off from a dead stop. Compared to the competition the focus has more power than a base engine that isn’t turbocharged.
I really am tired of getting hating comments saying how the transmission will blow up or some shit. Let me speak for my opinions for fuck sake. Don’t hate me like I’m some peasant. Show some dam respect for once.
Also selectshift just means you can put it into sport and shift it yourself. My 2014 SE that I just traded in had selectshift and it was very much the junky Dual clutch.
My Ford Focus hatchback SE does not have a sunroof, why?! Is the only think I miss from my Scion tC. But mine came with a bigger touch screen and the ac is different option from driver to passenger
Eli Gray no they’re still sadly very much faulty. I just traded my 2014 Focus for a 2016 Mazda 6. The Focus has left me stranded twice because of transmission problems
You need to treat it like a manual , upon acceleration . Treat this car well and it will last you forever. I just sold mine (for parts) and it had 420 K KMs on it. I know it’s anecdotal but I never did any major repairs to it . One of the best suspensions and handling I’ve ever experienced for a direct to consumer level car
My best friend had one of these cars for like a month or two before she had to give it back because of all the problems it had with it. I think she mentioned something about the transmission, I really don't remember.
I love your channel but warning do now buy Ford Focus from 2012 to 2014 or maybe even 2015. With the auto transmission. Cuz last night my friend she drives 2012 Ford Focus SE with the auto transmission. As we were leaving the movie theater the transmission started to act up. And once we got on the road the transmission stops working. And won't even try to move anymore. So it stuck in a ace hardware parking lot to we can get it towed. We don't know if we will get it fix or just get rid of it. Cuz she told me that it's has happen to her before. And she all ready had the Ford dealer fix it. Like two times all ready but it did it again last night.

Lol you’re very very misinformed. Every automatic Focus from 2012-2018 has the dual clutch unless it’s the I3 which has the 6F15.

It probably had an issue where the transmission would jerk the car forward when taking off from a stop that's the issue my mom had with hers
