Lmfao I would actually love a game like this that gives you standard RPG choices and then just fucks with you for the rest of the game by applying real world logic to it. Someone hires you as an adventurer to slay a foul vampire and then ur stuck in vampire criminal court trying to explain why you think it's ok to take payment from some shady stranger for murder and somehow still think you're the good guy in all this.
Using a vampire is a bad example. I’m sure if one decided to murder you or your family for your blood you wouldn’t give much credence to a Vampire Criminal Court.
There's something about the "ghoul" just casually turning his head to notice the crazed swordsman charging towards him that makes me literally laugh out loud!
I love the idea of an RPG starting in a town just completely void of problems. All the goats are safe in their pen, nobody is having relationship issues, the king doesnt really have any problems with any other kingdoms, all of the dragons are slain, there aren't any children stuck in wells, all is good. Yet, despite this, the player still fucks things up thinking its a normal RPG game and ends up killing a bunch of innocent people then feels bad about it when he hears about the truth
Marshall was the kindest of rats. A warm, loving rat who was friendly with everybody and just wanted to protect people. And the son of the old man was also a good man. He and the rat had been friends for a long time, and now he was looking for the missing rat who had been arrested by mistake by the king's guard for crimes another rat did.
twists like this are why I've learned to never kill anything that isn't aggro against me first, unless I'm in a bandit's lair or something and I have to kill guards stealthily. In Skyrim, I walked into a vampire's home and he was faced away from me and didn't hear me somehow, and so I tried to talk to him and he turned around and instantly attacked. So my philosophy doesn't always serve me well lol

All the goats are safe in their pen, nobody is having relationship issues, the king doesnt really have any problems with any other kingdoms, all of the dragons are slain, there aren't any children stuck in wells, all is good.
