Continue with these types of videos as this will help a lot of engineers starting up to get the experience and knowledge to go out there. Unfortunately in this industry no one is willing to help anyone especially the Old experienced engineers therefore it's up to us younger generation to give back and help the next engineers coming up into the industry.
Ive just been out to a 30kw one of these to change the combustion unit. Ive ended up failing to get the burner out and walking away till monday 😂. I was certain it wasnt coming out without removing the tamper proof t25s. Thanks to your video , I'll be back on monday morning and wiggle it out.
These are very easy for the gas fitter. I’ve fitted a couple. I would choose a 24Ri if possible. The combustion control unit being the reason. Never knew the no water, so thanks.
Nice smooth step by step, they are my go to heat only, very handy in certain scenarios with switch live only and rear flue option but as you say could be expensive after warranty period having to change gas valve fan and pcb as a complete unit. Baxi advising not to pour water down heat ex in fear of blocking it up is also a concern seems like you could potentially do more harm than good brushing them out... fortunately I find most combustion chambers with down firing burners seem to stay fairly clean 👍👍
What about replacement parts, is the control unit only available as a complete replacement unit, therefore very expensive?. This sort of info would be very useful to know for installers and customers.
Cos many of your subs maybe afraid to ask ie domestic engineers it really would be appreciated by apprentices and those who are just starting out in this industry cheers pal 👍🏼
I normally use nectar card to separate the burner plate and its black seal which will stick to the head of the combustion chamber unit to separate them as they stick to each other when you open clips and that's where you struggle to pull it out
I have a baxi precision boiler with just single black on off tap underneath I bled a radiator and now in fault any ideas how to repressurise as no filling loop
Super pal is there any chance of talking us through the plant room 👍🏼 maybe just to explain what is actually happening and how it allows heating and hot water to distribute around the system many thanks pal
Hey man, if I'm being honest I was a bit out of my depth in that plant room as there was a lot going on. I want involved in the installation, the customer just got me in to service the boilers. But when I go back again I'll spend a bit more time to see what's going on and perhaps do a follow up video 👍🏾
@cputilitysolutions such an honest man I was only asking because that's what create in my line of work. Please don't think I was going in on you just thought it would informative for others..your content is very well presented also appreciated all the best pal and your growing family. @@YNWA-oq5uf not at all mate, yeah I try to explain systems that I'm working on as best as I can. Always happy for someone to point out something new for me as it'll only benefit me going forward 👍🏾
Strange question but I’m suffering atm with the same boiler baxi 600 heat ! the boiler keeps going off and flashing red ! I’ll restart it and it will work for 10/20 min and then it will go off again ! I had a new pump and valves replaced as it’s an old system but I still get the same results! Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance
You need to refer to the fault finding section of the MIs as the lights will flash in a particular sequence and you need to check it against the table to see what it's referring to
@@marzenawitczak1891 the only thing you can check yourself would be if you're on a pre-payment meter for gas or if your gas meter has locked out if it's a smart meter. Otherwise you'll need to call a gas engineer as ignition fault can be related to a few different issues within the boiler itself

Nice one mate, yeah if it hasn't been stripped out then the burner seals can get stuck to the burner
Thank you so much for the video. It very helpful during servicing the Boiler.
Glad it helped 👌🏾

This is the kind of video that' is the most interesting, thank you for the great content.

Muchas gracias desde España. Tus vídeos son muy buenos se agradece que pongas subtítulos en español.

Another very helpful vid.

Yes as far as I know it's one complete unit

I'm having the same problem now. I can't get a plumber out until the end of next week at least.
Great video! Very useful. In your opinion, what is the best make of heat only boiler right now? I'm put off this one by the "all in one" pcb idea!
All depends on preferences mate. I quite like these Baxi heat only
@@cputilitysolutions Thanks Pal, to be honest ANYTHING will be better than my 40 year old Glow Worm 45-60 cast iron beast!😀
Fantastic video really nice and straightforward nice job 👍

Love the videos mate 👍 how often do those boilers need a strip down service?
Thanks mate, every 5yrs usually
How did you manage to vacuum out the heat exchanger in such a tight space, what did you use
I used the regin dusta duo, it's just small enough but it is bloody tight in there!
I use a flexi hose that is sold to clean computer key boards, they fit on the end of a vacuum cleaner hose.
Well done👍
Nice one 👍🏾

Excellent
Thanks 👍🏾
Can you tell me why the button with the symbol it's flushing on red?
You need to look at the MIs in the fault finding section which will tell you what the fault relates to depending on the number of flashes, etc
@@cputilitysolutions
I found it!!
3 flashes red - mean ignition fault
it's anything I can do? 😭

Me and my boss learnt the hard way not to flush out the heat exchanger with water to clean it 🤦🏼♂️
Ah man, lesson learned!
Did you forget to edit that bit out with the wrong spanner size 😂😂😂
