A friend of mine needs a new GPU for their prebuild and has a 160W powerbudget. so one reason i see for cards like the B570 is lower powerbudget stuff.
In Slovakia Intel version of B580 is 310€ (not in stock, pre order for late February) and Asrock version with black cooler for 355€ and with white cooler for 380-400€ that are in stock somewhere (mostly sold out even at that price).. Meanwhile rtx4060 from asus is 308€ MSI 306€ and Gigabyte 302€, plenty of stock in many big sellers B570 is in stock for 328€
I'm just happy people have actual good options in the sub-$500 space, from not one not two but three chip companies no less. As someone who built his first proper gaming PC in late 2021/early 2022 at the height of the chip shortage and eventually paid over $600 for a 3060, I'm glad those days are over.
As a recommendation for other GPU reviews, it'd be good to include the games list in a box for a few seconds before the graphs pop up, just in case the description isn't available for one reason or another.
I realise the Arc cards are still far from perfect, but I'm really excited for the future generations of their cards. They are certainly making improvements. Hopefully, by the time I'm looking at upgrading to a new computer, they are worth considering?
01:40 not the best looking but I'd buy it cause it black and I went for the dark look for my case with no rgb.....already got the B580 cause Linus said it was good in his review and after independent research, I pulled the trigger
Informed customers will get the B580, others will look at the price tag and say "this looks alright". Also, I don't think scalpers will target this card so it will be in stock, which is an important quality in itself.
Did I miss the bit with them saying power draw in use or was I just too taken in with the endless 'I don't like this card so I don't care' vibe. This seems like an ideal case for lower power/home theatre or places that you need a quiet but still functional gpu
He was very reluctant when praising the card for how quiet it was. He really wanted to complain about that as well lol. I think these are going to sell, regardless. Not to the most informed customers but for anyone else, since these will probably be in stock and not scalped.
Random note for testers: Furmark is interesting - sometimes less resolution will cause higher gpu temps. Play around with settings if you're stress testing your card. I don't pretend to know the why; I'm just recognizing the what.
I think it makes all the sense in the world, with a catch. I have looked into making a build for my wife and she only plays sims and Valheim. Absolutely no need for power. She barely needs a graphic card, so the b570 makes sense for her. Especially if it can come in white with rgb. If i made a build with that and the 5600x for a cpu she could easily upgrade her gpu later and have a really decent gaming rig. The catch: if it does not work well with budget cpu what is the point?
LTT recently had a livestream building a $500 gaming computer based on a Ryzen 5 5500 and a B580. I built a machine for my son that is almost identical to that one. I ran Geekbench 6 on it and scored about 96k in the OpenCL graphics test. I don't even know if that's any good, but if you run the same benchmark on your own rig (which I assume is beefier) then you'll have a point of reference to see if it's worth it.

The low end market is ripe for change and something big. Nvidia has left the market wide open. They’ll probably have a 5060 down the road but even at the $550 mark, there’s plenty of room for AMD or Intel to come in and sweep the rug from under them.
okay, why is everyone at lmg so misinformed about amd's frame gen? linus says it's a rtx special feature despite testing games where they have both amd and nvidia frame gen, here in this video somehow amd fg is a "driver level" despite it being COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FEATURE!!! fsr3 frame gen and amd fluid motion frames are two DIFFERENT FEATURES
I know right? FSR3 (Upscaling and Frame Gen) works on RX 5000 series+ and RTX 20 series+ (with 6000+ and 30+ being the recommended). I haven't seen any tests of it myself, but I see no reason for it to not work on Intel cards, especially when they out perform some of AMD's 7000 series.

Looking at the b570, I think that it makes the most sense as an accelerator in a plex/jellyfin server. It's small, draws minimal power, has lots of vram, and can encode or decode almost anything.
Just please for the love of god make more of the GPUs Intel, the B580 are sold out *everywhere* I've looked, except for scalpers asking for 350 or more USD.
B580 is claiming to do a pre-released to be restocked. It’s just the pre-ordered was only a limited products to be ordered until everything sold out but later they will restock more so that means people had to get ready because sometimes they will get sold out if they stock moremeans it may take some time for them to restock more
I dont see why its bad to have a cheaper card its just more option for the customer and I think there might even be low profile B570 which could open up new building options especially for an old business computer being resold altough those might face the driver issues that were mentioned in the video and have lessened the hype around these cards
Intel Arc isn't really a 'budget' prospect in the UK. Prices are the same as the 7600xt and 7700xt will occasionally go on sale for a similar price. It's still a better choice than the 7600xt or the 4060ti depending on the strength of your CPU, but it is not a guaranteed improvement.
the rx 6600 runs Black Myth Wukong at 50fps in a BOSS fight on Cinematic in 1080p....meanwhile the B570 nearly completely freezes in Space Marine 2 at 1080p ultra presets....mind you the A580 doesnt break a sweat while using the same ryzen 5 4500. i am VERY disappointed and its the first time ive ever considered returning a card. i dont even want to use it for a pc to sell
Given how much people pay for a computer overall, I really don't see why you'd not spend the extra $30 for the better card. I mean, you might need to delay your purchase by a week or two at most to save up if you're _really_ budget constrained, but like I'd expect a $30 variance just between board partners and different retail outlets and various sales. I wouldn't drop to a significantly slower SKU for such a vitally important component of a system that I'd expect to be using for multiple years for only $30 in savings!
7:10 you could have explained that this is due to REBAR. Intel GPUs almost require it and the Ryzen 2000 series and older doesn't support it. If you had something as low end as an R3-3100 it would give better performance over an R7-2700.
Hm, I also thought $199 would be a better argument. Tho, the risk(as stated) regarding cannibalizing Intel’s own makes me wonder if Intel actually plans to price hike the 580 later down the line when they initially launched it at $249 just to shake things up🤔
im not sure what the euro pricing is, but I remember hearing that the euro pricing for the higher end card will be way higher? I wonder if the reason this card wont be cheaper is because theyre approaching the fundimental costs of shipping things about and selling them?
The price of these cards outside of North America is at least 20% more than what they pay in the US. The B580 in the UK for example was £250 ($306us) but is currently £300 ($367us), for the Intel Limited Edition $250us card, that's about 47% more. The prices vary by supplier but they are much more expensive than what they pay across the Atlantic and import fees of only 2.5% plus transport do not make up for this disparity, when you consider that they are already making a profit, selling them at $250us. edit: The B570 is £219 or $268us!
I got a B580 for my son's new rig. 305 euros, tax included. Thing is, these higher prices affect everything in Europe, so 305 euros is still a cheap gpu over here, compared to Nvidia and AMD. With how card prices have been since Nvidia launched the 3000 series you have barely been able to build a budget gaming rig (without second hand parts) under 1000 euros. Thanks to Intel it's now possible again.
I heard so many low taper fade refferences and I always expected a random low taper fade edit after they said the word "massive" ltt is disapointing me.
My guess is they'd rather release it at $220 then cut it to $200 if it's not selling well enough so they look like the good guys, rather than releasing it at $200 and raising it later if it's eating B580 sales and getting everyone mad.
i skip ads everywhere, it doesnt matter if you skip them as it doesnt impact them if you watch them or not. as long as the people who are able to buy them see the ad and use the affiliate link, then it gives them some money in return.
The biggest problem is global availability despite what many believe, there are more countries (I mean continents) than the US, but atleast soon there will be a good competitor.

Here in Philippines I can find a b580 for 230€ but I know it’s a wrong labeled card, could be a. 570 but I don’t want to risk it
In Slovakia Intel version of B580 is 310€ (not in stock, pre order for late February) and Asrock version with black cooler for 355€ and with white cooler for 380-400€ that are in stock somewhere (mostly sold out even at that price).. Meanwhile rtx4060 from asus is 308€ MSI 306€ and Gigabyte 302€, plenty of stock in many big sellers
B570 is in stock for 328€
328 is pretty decent once you keep in mind the vat we have in Europe
Here in Pacific they dont even sell the card. Fk!
Than you realize 4060 cost 300 while b580 costs 330 in Germany while also 6750xt 7600/XT also cost in the similar range @@dagameboy
Really appreciated the delivery in this one. Very chill and informative, a very easy listen

That's what she said
0:20 It's a Chea P U 😄
I'm just happy people have actual good options in the sub-$500 space, from not one not two but three chip companies no less. As someone who built his first proper gaming PC in late 2021/early 2022 at the height of the chip shortage and eventually paid over $600 for a 3060, I'm glad those days are over.
Love the nuance you guys give on reviews and just buying advice in general, ty.
Games list isn't in the description
As a recommendation for other GPU reviews, it'd be good to include the games list in a box for a few seconds before the graphs pop up, just in case the description isn't available for one reason or another.
0:47 How did my pickup line get into this script?
Imo a card clearly made to make the b580 look like a better deal
I realise the Arc cards are still far from perfect, but I'm really excited for the future generations of their cards. They are certainly making improvements. Hopefully, by the time I'm looking at upgrading to a new computer, they are worth considering?
01:40 not the best looking but I'd buy it cause it black and I went for the dark look for my case with no rgb.....already got the B580 cause Linus said it was good in his review and after independent research, I pulled the trigger
the price is just slightly smaller than the b580, idk why people wouldnt just get that
Informed customers will get the B580, others will look at the price tag and say "this looks alright". Also, I don't think scalpers will target this card so it will be in stock, which is an important quality in itself.
Yeah weird, would never recommend the b570
Thank you Employee #69! Great review ❤
Nice review video 🙂
I really like that you don't yell! Keep on going like this!! 🙏
Good advice about not making speculative purchases! Good video!
Random note for testers: Furmark is interesting - sometimes less resolution will cause higher gpu temps. Play around with settings if you're stress testing your card.
I don't pretend to know the why; I'm just recognizing the what.
0:49 Michael Scott: That's what she said bahahahlahha
You beat me to it... lmfao
👀
The price for the B570 will drop a bit and then it will have a good performance ratio...
Don't you dare diss those looks! I like Tonka trucks and rocket ships. Those were my jam when I was a kid.
that power spiking is crazy cause my rx 7600 does that. normally never goes over 180 watts but it'll spike to 240.
8:20 also a great relationship advice
I love that intel can be taken seriously as a competitor
"b580 is affordable"
Listing: "sold out"
In this price range, a used RTX 3000 card will be best value based on these benchmarks. 3070ti on eBay for $275. 30% faster than 4060.
Still, you're always rolling the dice when buying used. No warranty, and it could come with fans full of cat hair and Cheetos crumbs.
@@arctic.wizard Ebay Buyer Protection lasts 6 months and is a 100% Money Back Guarantee. It's better than buying a brand new card from a brick and mortar where they'd make sure file a warranty claim with OEM and wait for RMA.
no will really risk on buying used gpu if your going down that route
@@anonymousgaming5725 LTT did a video on that very topic and found that buying GPUs in generally safe.
they should make a single slot B580 or B570 will be great so that you dont have to spend for a 4060 lp instead and will have 12gb vram unlike other single slot / low profile cards
There is barely any out there, this won't make a dent in the market unfortunately
You could make a drinking game out of him saying "needless" lol.
Might be good in a HTPC, especially if the 580 keeps being sold above MSRP. That power draw is a bit crazy though.
That random train horn was hilarious
AIB models in usa are 219$ for b570, and 270$ish for b580, intel models were only ones with 219-249 msrp.
At 50$ difference its not bad difference at all
Especially with the slight oc results ive seen with performance gains on b570 when pushing it above the defaults
Should've tried to make a single-slot slim cooler solution.
With the whole arc controversy, we gonna need extra testing based on different cpus
Intel openly said at launch that these cards were aimed at higher spec systems and would not perform as well on older ones. I don't see the problem, as they were open about this. If they had tried to hide it, I'd have a different opinion.
@@Thurgosh_OG Intel said the minimum requirement was ryzen 3000 when it's more like a 7800X3D or 9800X3D
@@RedstoneBros Not even close to accurate. Minimum requirement != ideal configuration when cost is no concern.
That is a statement that the 3000 series was the first with PCIE 4.0.
Do you buy games for which the minimum requirements are exactly your CPU/GPU/RAM's?
If so, prepare for a bad time.
@@RedstoneBros so i wont be able to use this card with a ryzen 7 5700x?
Oh no.... The thumbnail already has me worried
B570 in a sale will be a killer card to pick up
The low end market is ripe for change and something big.
I would bet that they aren't misinformed. I would bet that the tech youtubers probably know this basic shit. I would bet that you probably just want them to be wrong about something because it makes you feel good. I would bet they might've said it slightly wrong once or twice across the entirety of space and time, but that's not the same as them actually being misinformed and not knowing something.
I hope you and others like you find something else to focus on to make yourself feel good.
@@Szanth. That’s a pretty negative self indulgent post you got there… it actually comes across as worse than behaviour you speak of. All that needed to be said was “it’s more likely that Tech youtubers might have been oversimplifying or have misspoken”.
Hopefully you and others like you can find something else to focus on to make yourself feel good.
Also, with all that betting, you might have a gambling problem. ;)
Because they are still rushing their scripts in order to rush out the videos, even though for a while after the scandal it looked like they had learned from their mistakes. Guess LMG is still back to their old bullshit.
@@Fortzon Short Circuit isn't scripted
Good review 🎉🎉
You can over clock the gpu in Intel's software for more performance.
Is it... a graphics card unboxing? on ShortCircuit?! :O
Future note, get Elijah to review a card it would be hilarious, maybe the 5090 review can be from him hosting ;) 😂 1:51
Just around 1:30 YT will show my comment to you
That set could use some sound treatment. No hate, I love you guys, just a bit distracting with headphones on.
Am I dumb? Where is the list of games included listed in the description, I just see links to buy stuff and the sponser?
Intel Arc isn't really a 'budget' prospect in the UK. Prices are the same as the 7600xt and 7700xt will occasionally go on sale for a similar price.
It's still a better choice than the 7600xt or the 4060ti depending on the strength of your CPU, but it is not a guaranteed improvement.
The fact that no tech reviewers are even getting reference b570s is really disappointing for those hoping to see a stock increase.
1:16 The train horn blares and they have to stop filming. I'd be frustrated too!
do they offer a x16 card or are all of the intel cards x8?
the rx 6600 runs Black Myth Wukong at 50fps in a BOSS fight on Cinematic in 1080p....meanwhile the B570 nearly completely freezes in Space Marine 2 at 1080p ultra presets....mind you the A580 doesnt break a sweat while using the same ryzen 5 4500. i am VERY disappointed and its the first time ive ever considered returning a card. i dont even want to use it for a pc to sell
I am still super duper excited for Intel being in the graphics-card game!!
"You might like it if you like Tonka Trucks and Rocket Ships."
... *Looks over to my ASUS Dual 4070 Super* ... I feel attacked.
This will probably go with cheap gaming prebuilts?
Derailing it? You created it!
AIB B570 and B580s are in stock at microcenter.
Mine has 5 B570s and no B580s. Real big launch.
@jameslake7775 they restock 2x per week. You can ask the guys there which days they restock.
Fairfax VA, Rockville Maryland and Parkville MD, have never shown in stock for any model after initially selling out the release of B580.
@@jefferyG499 Michigan has them.
Just make sure to check the o-ring seals on that card, and dont use it below 2°c
7:10 you could have explained that this is due to REBAR. Intel GPUs almost require it and the Ryzen 2000 series and older doesn't support it. If you had something as low end as an R3-3100 it would give better performance over an R7-2700.
7:25 scales what?
You know what else is massive?
@lomuc loooooooooooooww tapeeerrr faaaaaadeee
Whoa hold up, $220 card does 12-bit 4:4:4 HEVC decode?! Holy hell, this thing should FLY off shelves for small shop video production!
Cheapest B580 is €300, cheapest B570 is €290, cheapest RTX4060 is €305 lol (netherlands)
Think it is because of the included taxs in Europe. The US prices are without any tax.
"the price is too close to make sense" exactly
I heard so many low taper fade refferences and I always expected a random low taper fade edit after they said the word "massive" ltt is disapointing me.
Bottom line is don’t but this if you have an older slower cpu than a ryzen 5600. Even of you do get the 580, or the amd 7600
My guess is they'd rather release it at $220 then cut it to $200 if it's not selling well enough so they look like the good guys, rather than releasing it at $200 and raising it later if it's eating B580 sales and getting everyone mad.
Homest question: is it okay to skip ads that are not available in your country? Like Vessi doesnt ship to Austria or Java(?) Isnt available here
i skip ads everywhere, it doesnt matter if you skip them as it doesnt impact them if you watch them or not. as long as the people who are able to buy them see the ad and use the affiliate link, then it gives them some money in return.
«If you like rocket ships» - who doesn't?!
Wait... Are you comparing the b570 OC to the B580? Whjy are you using an OC'ed version?!
The biggest problem is global availability despite what many believe, there are more countries (I mean continents) than the US, but atleast soon there will be a good competitor.
