    This is great, I am very pleased with my new VirtuoPlus and the temperature was so important for us. The Tassimo we had before was always very hot, so we were relieved that the Nespresso was equally as hot. I am so pleased I didn't go for the 'Next' despite it being the 'newer' machine which you would think would be an upgrade, but with a manual opening mechanism and lower temperature I don't think it is. Thanks for your great real life and honest reviews 👍

      Thanks, really appreciate that. Yeah I'm really happy with the Vertuo Plus and appreciate even more after doing these tests. The coffee from the plus is the hottest out of any of the Nespresso machines I've had I'd say. Hope it serves you well 👍🏼

    Wow thanks for testing these two machines. I have the Next and my husband always says it’s not hot enough. I’ve been thinking about getting the Plus and this just sold me, plus I like that it closes automatically. Also heard the creama is better on the Plus.

    Yes as punk839 said earlier numbers do not lie! I like a really hot coffee and my husband likes to leave his a while before he drinks it. Another great video and thanks so much for making them and hope your back gets better soon.

      Yeah they don't do they. Should probably mention that I made a couple more in the same way after - as noticed on most machines that the coffee tends to get hotter second time around - and tested them again. The numbers got closer together but still a good 5 degrees difference and you just want it to be hot first time really don't you. Thanks also, sure it'll ease up soon 😊

    I have the VERTUO PLUS and usually heat a bit of half and half before brewing my nespresso. It isn't quite as hot as I'd like it to be but the flavor is so good that this hasn't really been an issue for me. I also fold in the crema and it is a delicious cuppa

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a very good machine isn't it. So many people seem to like it too! If they could make one that's just a little more compact and a little hotter I think they'd sell loads!

    In your video "Nespresso Citiz Vs Vertuo Plus | Which Makes a Hotter Coffee? | VertuoLine vs OriginalLine" the Plus was more like 52 degrees, was that because you were making a different size coffee? I have an older machine like your Citiz and temperature is always an issue, The hacks to make it hotter are great but I want to grab a coffee and run and it be the right temp the first time. I'm looking to upgrade and want to go "Vertuo Delux" but for that price its got to be hot this time! At least in this video the "Next" came out substantially hotter than the Citiz was. We need a graph of coffee temperate vs coffee type vs machine type.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I'd imagine we poured an espresso sized capsule in that other video and in the same way that pouring a water shot of espresso or lungo through on the Citiz first to heat it up gives you a hotter coffee when you pour a pod after, the longer mug sized coffees on the Vertuo machines are also much hotter. You probably find the lungos are hotter on the Citiz than the espressos are too for the same reason.

    I am also on the fence between the two machines. Only reason for me to go for the next was the app connectivity for updating software ? How useful is the app ?

      Hi there. I haven't actually been able to connect mine yet as struggled with it the other day. Picking up my Citiz machine but not this one. Will try one more time and update before returning the machine as going to stick with my VertuoPlus for now. I've just posted my final review of the Next in case that's of interest at all.

    Wow... I’m surprised! It’s a pity, that I don’t have thermometer, I would like to know the temperature of my coffee😂 I know, the “mug size” will not be so hot like the “espresso size”, because it takes more time for coffee to go down to the cup, for espresso coffee 92-94 degrees is fine. And I think 75-80 degrees is good for “mug size” (when I drink it, I feel that it’s normal hot cup of coffee, btw I have Vertuo Plus model). But no less of course... If the temperature is not hot, it takes more time for coffee to get ready, but your coffee-machines makes coffee about the same time... That’s really interesting! And the main question is: does temperature difference affect taste? 🤔🤔🤔

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Julia, you had me intrigued there so just tested the espresso size on all my machines. Came out at about 60 degrees on the Vertuo Next, 62 on the Vertuo plus and 60 on my Original Citiz machine. When I put second shot through my Citiz straight after though it went up to 64 degrees, so running a cycle of water through before you make the coffee makes a difference. Just thought that might be good extra info for people. Will certainly do the taste test soon!

    • @julias728
      @julias728 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A2B Productions thank you for this test! I absolutely need a thermometer, really interesting to know about my machines, but I was pretty sure that original machine will show a higher temperature 🤦🏻‍♀️ I forget, sorry, it also depends of the temperature of your cup! That’s why barista puts cups on the coffee-machine, on a heated tank on top, and the cups are always warm!

    Vertuo Plus was a huge disappointment. For a while I had small Nespresso machine and. Tassimo for large milky morning drinks. The Tassimo large drinks could take milk and stay hot. The Vertuo ones could not. I got sick of all of them in the end and got a Jura E8. One touch, including milk and any configuration drink you like. However it comes at a price.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers for sharing your thoughts. If hot milk based coffees are top of the list then I’d happily recommend the Creatista Plus or pro. We’ve only tried Nespresso to date to be honest but those machines were a game changer when it comes to hot milk froth. I genuinely struggle to hold a recipe glass when the milk is in its top temperature setting,

    Have you tried connecting the Next to your phone via Bluetooth? Perhaps with an update, some of the gripes with the machine, like the crema, will be updated/fixed? Just a thought...

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah could be an idea. Read from some other online reviews that it's not the simplest process though and not sure it'll help with the heat problem. Although if you like your coffee it bit cooler then that won't be a problem I guess. They'll need to fix it quick though as only get so long to return it 😅 Will give it a go though 👍

    Quick question. I been looking at the nespresso vertuo plus but I wondering of you know the difference between the machine made by magimix vs krups

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never owned a Magimix VertuoPlus I'm afraid, just Krups. Did have a Magimix Citiz for 5 years (I think) and had no issues with it. Hope somebody else can share their experience of the two brands for you. If I get my hands on a Magimix one then I'll certainly put them up against each other.
