- A look at the Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee machine by Magimix. We take a look at the new Nespresso Vertuo with the bigger new capsules to see if it can dethrone the Nespresso Citz, our coffee machine of choice for over 7 years straight.
If you drink espresso's exclusively, then this machine will cost you more to run as the espresso capsules are currently more expensive for the Vertuo machines than the normal capsules that have been around since the start. If like me you're more a flat white, latte or cappuccino type of person then this is the best Nespresso machine on the market.

something worth being said is that with these new machines you cant buy and use third party pods; the bar codes prevent that.

@2 Spirit Metis That kind of defeats the point of quick, painless coffee at the touch of a button. If I had to go through the bother of re-using capsules, cleaning them all and re-wrapping with press n seal each time, I'd just get a filter coffee machine lol. Nespresso machines make it easy, plus the company pick up your recycling bags for free.
@@AlexFlynn Starbucks has Vertuo compatible capsules at least in the USA, sold in Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Amazon sells them too.

We used the citz for years. Never thought I would replace it but the Vertuo capsules just saved having to use two normal capsules or have a watered down coffee (if you like a big mug of coffee). We actually ordered a £800 coffee bean to cup machine to compare to the £80 in blind tests. Video should be out soon. Thanks so much for watching.
The Truth Reviews Hi and thanks for the response! I’ve got the U model and Lattissima Plus. Both great but sometimes you just want a full cup without using multiple pods.
Just to clarify: the citiz uses bar pressure to make a more authentic espresso, with the vertuo youre literally drinking coffee made by centrifusion so drip coffee.
on mine, you can change the amount by pressing and holding it and it will program the amount onto memory for that kind of barcode. Might have to look into that mine looks the same but its another brand.
Clement Kirton you’re absolute right. We will update the video. In our manual it wasn’t mentioned at all. But it can be done.

can I ask you please the difference between the krups vs magimix vertuo coffe machines ??
Hi there. Eugster/Frismag is a company that manufactures both brands. The only real difference is going to be in cosmetic and in start up time. In terms of the actual coffee taste. It will be identical. Across the whole range some machines have one or two more features (such as controlling level of milk froth) that the next but as far as the actual coffee taste, we have used £800 nespresso machines and £79 nespresso machines and they taste identical. Same for Vertuo machines.

please, what is the defrence between vertuo by magimix and vertuo by krups
None. One has a round top, the other a flat top. Just cosmetics.
Is this machine loud or too noisy?
It’s quieter than any other nespresso machine. But I can still hear it when in the room next to the kitchen. Quieter than any coffee machine I’ve used though.
Can you use the starbucks pods on this machine??
No I am afraid you can not. These have bar codes on the rim which are not easy to duplicate and without the barcode the machine won’t accept the capsule.

Yes, you can, as long as you use the Starbucks Vertuo Compatible capsules, instead of the Starbucks pods for the Nespresso Original Line.
