    While I'm no scientist we do our best to keep the test fair. We taste the coffee both black and with milk to see which is the best coffee machine for taste!
    We use the new mug size Hazelino Muffin capsule to do the test and answer questions like...
    Is there a difference in taste between the Nespresso machines?
    Does the coffee look any different on each machine?
    Is the crema any different?
    And much more!

    Very similar result to another video review for these two machines. The coffee from the Vertuo Next generally has a tad more of bitterness of taste then the other one.

      Yeah that's what we found. We also made crema and heat test videos too and found big differences there.

    Having tried both, the Next only today i agree with you the Next has a little more bitterness flavour , but the Plus has a nicer creme. So it all depends of what each person likes but having to choose one machine i would choose the Plus, that´s why i bought it first. The Next is also good but you will have to drink the coffee right away or the creme will be gone much faster than the Plus. Another thing i was curious about the Next was the Carafe coffee. I found it a little bit waterly for my taste. Was hopping for a long but strong coffee.Maybee it was the coffee , i tried the Mild , will order the regular one Carafe wich seems to be stronger.Here we only have 2 types of Carafe, maybe cause it´s recent the Vertuo system, about 4 months.
    Also this type of coffee Vertuo i usually put a little bit of milk, but in general i prefer regular Nespresso coffee.

    I guess I missed your video on the review of the Hazelino Muffin Capsule. I saw other videos on that flavor and most I saw didn't seem to like it, so I haven't bought it yet. I like the other flavors, so I wondered why I wouldn't like this one, but a number of people reviewing it didn't like it, so go figure. I will probably give it a try. I could have bought the three flavors minus the chocolate fudge which I already had, on Amazon for a decent price. Unfortunately for just the Hazelino capsule it's more expensive then through Nespresso directly. Luckily I have a Boutique near me, so I might get it there. Although I have Amazon credit, so it would be free, just paying more in general. Anyway I love your videos. Very informative and helpful on how to use the Nespresso Vertuo Plus.

    I really enjoy your videos. I’m so glad you did a taste test of the new Hazelino Muffin pod. The original Hazelino is one of my favorites for the Vertuo system. Re temperature for the Next machine, I definitely notice a difference between pods. Some like the Stormio brew much hotter. The app is not user friendly but I did get my machine connected after a reset of the Next model. The app also lists my OriginalLine U model and Lattissima Plus. Also, thanks for showing the Nespresso recycling container. I like how it conceals the recycle bags completely and opens from the top. I’ll be ordering one soon. Cheers 🙂

      Thanks for that Edward. We love the Original Hazelino and plan to do a taste test soon between the Hazelino and the Hazelino Muffin after a subscriber suggested it recently! Glad you like the recycle bin review too, think it will solve a few storage issues for us.

      I just wanted to provide a follow up on my Vertuo Next machine. The head unit failed and I couldn’t brew coffee. The lock mechanism became increasingly more difficult to operate and I kept getting the orange warning light. So back it went to Nespresso. I replaced my machine with a Vertuo Plus Deluxe. Eventually Nespresso will send out a replacement Next when inventory is available. I got the Plus model on sale for $125 dollars. I’ll keep the Next as a backup machine. So far I much prefer the Plus, much quieter and it brews a hotter cup. Thanks so much for the informative videos. Happy 2021. Cheers ☕️

      Hi 👋 We did a heat test video too in case that helps. Pretty sure it was hotter than the Vertuo Next and on the longer drinks like the mug size coffee I don't think you'll have a problem. More on the espresso where the temperature difference is more noticeable 👍

    Great review! So now the big question. Which machine do you like better? Can you also do a review on all three of the flavored coffees for the vertuo line? Thank you.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks Gail. Yes that's the big question isn't it. Although I prefer the look of the Next I prefer the Vertuoplus right now. If they bring out a better version of the Next in future, though, then I'd definitely consider giving it another try. That being said I prefer my Original Citiz over both the Vertuo ones. Hope this helps. Will definitely be reviewing those capsules by the way and will also try and tatse test them against the old ones too.

    Which flavors are better then the other? The original line or the Vertuo line? Or they are the same? The mid and high intensity.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good questions. We're going to be doing more videos where we put the original and Vertuo capsules of a similar intensity up against each other, we did the first one with the Scuro capsules recently. Difficult with the bigger Mug and Alto sized coffees as there's nothing similar on the Original machine. Personally, I prefer the original capsules most of the time. The new Napoli (high intensity) and Venezia (mid intensity) pods are nice.

    With the older vertuo plus, have you done a cleaning before the test? I’ve found that after a while the coffee seems to taste bitter if u haven’t done a cleaning cycle on the machine. And particularly if you haven’t descaled the machine in a while it begins to taste bitter very fast.

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there. I haven't descaled it yet to be honest as I've only had it a few months (I was late to the Vertuo party) and use my original machine a lot more than this one. It was actually the coffee from the Next that seemed to have the more bitter taste to us. The Next is just a week old. Will certainly keep that in mind if my VertuoPlus starts to taste that way. Thanks for the tip! 👍

    • @levonarabian
      @levonarabian 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A2B Productions Yes, i thought it was very interesting that the new machine would taste more bitter then the old one. What really surprised me though, was the temperature test you guys did. It’s really quite crazy that the old machine was significantly hotter then the new one. I would think it would be the other way around. Really great videos man 👌🏼

    Thanks for this competition in coffee taste! It’s good, that Vertuo Next makes coffee as good as another machine, to my mind taste of coffee is the main thing...not foam - it’s only external factor... Of course when we buy something, we want it to work perfectly and be beautiful not only functionally, but on all sides! Anyway Vertuo Next makes a good cup of coffee... I prefer Vertuo Plus (because I have it😄), but Vertuo Next not so bad) Thanks to your wife for helping 🙏🏼👌 I like Hazelino Muffin👍🏼 One of my favorite taste of coffee Nespresso))

    Some background: I've been roasting my own beans for several years. I have a burr grinder and brew my coffee using an Aeropress. I'm looking into one of these using my own roasted coffee. I've seen that there are kits out there to hack the capsules and use my own coffee.
    I need your opinion concerning which machine will be better for my uses. I typically make mugs of coffee for myself. Yet I want to experiment with making various recipes (EXPRESSO, LATTE, ETC) I've seen on your vids. I'm leaning towards the Vertuo Plus.
    Also, any suggestions as to where to get one at a good price here in the states. I see that many show them to be out of stock.
    Thanks

      Hi there. It's a difficult one as we have tried the refillable Vertuo capsules and reviewed them on the channel, but I didn't try them for espresso on that machine, just the mug size.
      It may be worth buying a used machine to find out if the reusable pods will be suitable for you, as I'd imagine you could pick up a fairly cheap Plus with so many people buying the Next recently.
      Also worth mentioning that the VertuoLine machines do have a barcode system on them (you probably know this) so if you're looking at the vertuo kits where you add new seals to the used pods then buying one with a new machine with a selection of free capsules in different sizes might actually save you having to buy full packs of pods to get you going if that makes sense. There are also metal refillable pods with the barcode already on but we haven't tried those as worried they might damage the machine.
      Not sure if you saw the video where we reviewed the Geesta kits but would be worth reading the comments on that video, as a lot of people shared their experience on there.
      Hope some of this helps but my experience is only limited in that area really.

      @@A2BProductions Thanks for getting back to me. I'm not too interested in expressos. Mostly mug drinks. I have a grinder and can experiment with the grind to try and get expresso. I will look to see if I can pick up a used machine.
      Keep up the good work. Thanks

    I picked up this machine last week and also noticed the odd crema, I will link up the blutooth and see if that helps. I did notice that the capsule area retains a puddle of water/coffee after ejecting the pod. Is this the case with your machine? Not sure if this is a defect on mine or not. Your feedback would be appreciated!

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah mine does the same. I end up having to soak it up with kitchen roll first. The Vertuoplus has holes in the capsule area so don't know why they didn't do that on this model.

      @CalicoSingh 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@A2BProductions Thanks for the prompt response. I tend to run a water-only shot through the machine at the end of each day so at least it's not day old coffee getting mixed with my coffee the next morning. Hmm... yes odd decision, doesn't sound like this is an upgrade to the old vertuo even though it looks way better. About to watch your latest video to listen to your final thoughts on the two :)

    Question for you: I recently purchased a Nespresso Vertuo (the original one as I thought it was a better-looking machine) and I find that the coffee is warm, not overly hot...just wondering if you believe the Vertuo Plus makes a hotter cup than the original Vertuo? Also been reading the plus has some leaking issues...I’m torn now to return and opt for something else! Your thoughts will be appreciated!
    Thanks for the reviews!

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I've never owned an original Vertuo machine (or do you mean the Vertuo Next?) myself but pretty sure we've had comments on the channel from people saying they saw a noticeable difference in heat when they went from the original Vertuo to the VertuoPlus. I've had my Krups VertuoPlus for around 6 months now and haven't had any leaking but I have seen some reports online of people complaining about that. Did you see our Heat Test between the Vertuo Next & VertuoPlus by any chance? We tested them with a food thermometer to check the difference. Maybe if you have one you can test how hot your coffee is compared to the VertuoPlus in that vid? Hope this helps a bit.

      A2B Productions update: I returned my original Vertuo (not the next)! Now contemplating between CitiZ and Vertuo Plus...I saw your comparison of Vertuo Plus and Next machine indeed. Would you say your CitiZ and VertuoPlus have same temp more or less? Also the variety of capsules with original line are now intriguing me more...too much thinking during lockdown life lol. Thanks again!!

    • @A2BProductions
      @A2BProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll try and do a video comparing the Citiz and the Vertuoplus soon as think that would be useful for quite a few people. Test the temperature etc. I think they're pretty much the same temp at espresso size but not sure for lungo. The mug size in the Vertuoplus gets a lot hotter. What kind of coffee do you tend to drink? Espresso (inc cappuccino/latte etc) or do you tend to drink more mug size coffee? I much prefer my original machine as prefer the taste but if you predominantly drink mug size coffee then Vertuoplus might be more suitable. You can make an americano by just topping up espresso from the original machine with boiling water, though. Don't just want to plug my old vids but I did do a Vertuo vs Original video in the past that has had a lot of views and might help. I don't test the machines in that but do talk about the differences. Thanks for a great video idea!

    When the TH-cam social influencer money starts rolling in buy a good traditional ground coffee machine and compare the taste between them 😎👍☕️
    Bare in mind with heat , most water heaters will heat water coming in say 35C greater than than the water going in . So if comparing make sure water is the same temperature on both machines in the tank.
