I was just messing around with my headphones, and managed do disconnect the blue wire somehow. Got it soldered back in place now.

Thanks for the help. My left speaker was cutting out, and this worked out great 👌 My headset is definitely not as clean though, im fairly certain that my earwax has become sentient and started a colony in there.
Glad it helped! You can simply replace ear pads.

I appreciate you making these types of videos, im new to repairing so i appreciate these videos. I had a few quick questions if you can spare me the time. I've watched the vid like 20 times and still cant figure it out:
1. The problem you showed is the jack only working when its moved a certain way. What if it's the top of the cable near the speaker that needs to be moved a certain way, and it's the microphone that cuts in and out not the speaker? Is the solution still the same?
2. Did you use an entirely new wire then repairing this? (it looks like it), if not how does getting new fresh wire to solder help fix the issue?
3. Why does the cable only work when moved in certain ways? Crinkled wire, poor solder

Thanks to you, my headset is working like a new one, but my microphone is still not working. Can I use No. 4 red wire to connect to both +/- on the microphone circuit?

My headset ear flap fell out I noticed I needed to u screw to put in back in. I accidentally ripped out the blue wire and now that side doesn’t work. I don’t know how do do what your doing and I don’t even no how to start. I need help
What if my broken wire is the one between each of the ear cups? The one that runs through the headband? as opposed to the one that runs from your media device to the headset. Could you possibly make a video on this repair? Thanks in advance

My hyperx cloud x right earphone only works when the cord is positioned in a certain way. Any known way to fix it. I love this pair of headphones and don't want to have to get rid of it

got same problem i think replace headphone jack will do. i know mine is not the cables just de jack because i plug and unplug work pretty well for some times and move around the cables the sound dont cut.

My rabbit bit through my wire. Is is possible to just solder them back together? Should I cut and strip more wire further back in each direction and then solder them? I do not have access to a solder so I would like an alternative option, but tying the ends has not worked.

Hi, so i was going to replace the cable, but noticed that original cord has 5 wires inside, with separate ground wires for headphones and mic. How do i deal with it when most 4 pole cords only have 4 wires? Do i have to connect microphone ground wire to speaker one?
edit: decided not to risk it and make dumb stuff and ordered replacement cable for cloud 2 specifically, with 5 wires :)
cable with 5 wires is best choice, but i have change more than 10 cables for clouds and all these wires come with 4 wires. Just split that one groud to mic and speakers.

Hello my friend, after fixing my Hyperx Cloud II, left and right is working great, but something weird happend to the mic, it ''works'' even when i unplug the mic, somehow it catches sounds no matter if mic is in or out, i say ''works'' because it sounds like in a deep cave or basement

@@TechscrewDIY I found possible solution online, I have 4 cables : blue for left speaker which is pole 1 , right green pole 2, red/copper ground pole 3 and last one is white surrounded with copper pole 4 , I have solder them together on pole 4. And some guy says he separate the copper from the white cable and put it on pole 3 together with red/copper

I have Cloud Silver headphone. My problem is crosstalk. But Cloud 2's have no issue like that. Can I do something to fix that? Could crosstalk be caused by volume control thing? I searched forums and they was talking about cloud silver and alphas use same ground on mic and speaker wiring. There must be a solution. I bought Hyperx amp because of this but it didn't help. @@TechscrewDIY I took the volume control thing off and soldered the cable directly based on diagram in your video and i solved problem. Cable diagram was different because of volume control thing and it was making a crosstalk. Now the cable is shorter but same diagram as cloud 2. Fully working sir. Thanks you for inspiring me.

@@TechscrewDIY No, near the housing. My idea is that instead of buying a replacement cable, I can just amputate the damaged parts of the cable, and re use the cable. And it would be like shorter I guess. Would that still work?

Unfortunately, the 4 pole wire you linked on amazon only has 3 wires.. will have to deal with no mic I guess.
Also, I'm not sure where the cables from the new cable go. The new cable has white, red & yellow cables, whereas colours of the cable previously attached to the pcb are green, red & green, and blue.

I have audio Technica ath m20x and my rt side was not working and cables is good and when i move the side cable it works so i know maybe the side cable is damaged from inside so i give it to some one (who's job is to fix it) and we change the cable and it works but there is something wrong with connection it's doesn't work like before no rt or left only when i play rt channel only i hear little bit sound on lft and also when i listen to lft only i hear little bit sound on rt so can u give me any social to send u picture of connection and tell me what is wrong because he don't know and we try but we can't find it
