What if it's the top of the cable near the speaker that needs to be moved a certain way, and it's the microphone that cuts in and out not the speaker? Is the solution still the same? 2. Did you use an entirely new wire then repairing this? (it looks like it), if not how does getting new fresh wire to solder help fix the issue? 3. Hi, so i was going to replace the cable, but noticed that original cord has 5 wires inside, with separate ground wires for headphones and mic. How do i deal with it when most 4 pole cords only have 4 wires? Do i have to connect microphone ground wire to speaker one? edit: decided not to risk it and make dumb stuff and ordered replacement cable for cloud 2 specifically, with 5 wires :)

Cable diagram was different because of volume control thing and it was making a crosstalk. Now the cable is shorter but same diagram as cloud 2. Fully working sir. Thanks you for inspiring me.

Unfortunately, the 4 pole wire you linked on amazon only has 3 wires.. will have to deal with no mic I guess.
