What's up everyone!
This was our first time trying the popular street food Esquites and Elotes. Which one do you like better, and how do you like to eat them?
Thanks for watching! 😊🧡
That’s tough lol. I really like both. And some people make them better than others. So it depends. Btw there’s a really popular esquite stand in Mexico City that comes with chicken feet. People say it’s amazing.
@@thee_calamity Oh wow, very interesting! Thanks for replying, we feel like we need to try it a few different ways now since you can have them differently each time :)
Hello there! I'm the Tacos de Homero's owner, its a family business, and we're so proud people can taste the best Cochinita of Mexico City. That's why if you show this comment to our taco guy in la Roma, the Horchata is on us!!

Hey you two, what a food tour! Everything looked amazing, I especially enjoyed seeing all those different tamales. I didn't know they came sweet as well! I'm with you Steph, I don't think I would have liked the strawberry tamale as I'm not a big fan of raisins either. The corn drink looked very interesting as well, seemed really thick!
Great video again, and can't wait for the next one!
Hey Charles, the tamales were all really good, definitely nice to try the savoury and sweet ones. The atole was nice to try too, very unique drink. Thanks a lot for watching and commenting :)
Mmmm yes good choices!
broooo the esuite part made my inner ancestors wake up at the sight of all that corn lmao
🤣🌽 Yesssss!!!!
WOOOW! Mexican food is out of this world! You are making us want to buy a ticket to Mexico now. Thanks a lot for sharing your food adventure with us guys. Keep up the great work 💪
You guys would love it! The food is just incredible 😋 thanks for the support💪
Mexico is one of the few countries where all its ingredients are fresh and without artificial preservatives. This is my beautiful and beloved Mexico, for a reason UNESCO named Mexican gastronomy as , intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Viva Mexico CABRONES
Mexican cuisine is truly something special to be experienced 😋 Thanks a lot for watching and commenting!
Hello Chris and Steph, it's 3:00am in the morning here in Toronto, Canada and watching your video has made me so hungry. I would like some of everything (except not sure about the grasshoppers) Everything looks so crunchy and tasty. Oh tamales - one of my favourite food to eat. The tostadas - I want some right now. thanks for yuuummmmmmyyyyyyy video. Please keep them coming.
Hey! We knew you would love the tamales in this video ;) wish we could bring some back for you!!! The tostadas were sooo good, you'd love them too, especially all the shrimp and octopus 🤤
Those tostadas looked amazing. They only needed a little of the hot sauce to add a kick. That’s how I I like em!
Good to know for next time! We LOVED them, soo good.
Like real mexican
Oaxaca food, torta carne asada homemade tamales, horchata yum
So much yum😋 we plan to go to Oaxaca, so stay tuned!! Thanks for watching and commenting :)
@@HungryTwoTravel Awsome, meet afew friends for down south.
That would be so much fun.
We had authentic cochinita pibil in Playa del Carmen and it was SO tasty. I love how you just add a little bit of pickled onion and salsa but it’s primarily the stewed pork 🤤
We love that too, it's all about the pork, you don't need much else to add flavour, it really speaks for itself. So glad you got to try it there!!
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME WATCHING YOU GUYS AND I REALLY REALLY LIKE IT. YOU BOTH ARE SI NICE, AND YES THE FOOD IN MEXICO CITY IS SO, SO GOOD,
Thank you so much, Leticia 😊 oh my gosh yes isn't the food amazing!? 😋 Thanks for watching!
Still in awe of how good that all looks and the amount of cheese is 🤯 ❤ - I thought the sweet tamales looked really homely and appetizing too!!
Yes, we LOVE all the quesillo we've been having, it's so good and stringy🤤 Cheese overload haha. Thanks for watching, Feng!
When I watch this all I can think about is how old our tortillas are from the store and that I need to start making them.
With a good recipe for the masa and a proper tortilla press, you'd be set. It really shows how simple it can be.
watching this video, made me realize that mexican food here in the US is a little different than the authentic one.. hopefully will get to visit Mexico someday :)
It actually is not. You probably live in athe Midwest or east coast where there’s isn’t lots of Mexicans
We hope you will visit one day too Cindy! Yes, Mexican food in the US is definitely different than what you get in Mexico itself. Nothing is quite like being there for the true Mexican taste 🤤
@@HungryTwoTravel my nursing sup owns a hotel in Mexico , one day i will, im gonna find me a churros stuffed hehe
Mexican food from Mexico is different and much more flavorful.
Another great Mexican food tour guys! Those tostadas were out of this world, definitely my fave things from the video. That quesadilla was super cheesy, and the taquitos way better than 711 😆 I've never been one for tamales, but those looked pretty tasty. I'm not too sure about the esquires, I don't really like mayo either Chris, so I don't know if that would be for me. Everything looked so good, still can't get over the tostadas, that crunch!
The tostadas were up there for our favourite as well! They were so tasty and crunchy. Thanks so much for watching and commenting 😊
Hola Hungry Two! 😊
This episode has got me thinking on how to make some of the local corn-based dishes I grew up with more savory. 😊
The prawn and octopus tostadas look so tasty and packed. I can also imagine how I would enjoy the quesadillas with the blue corn masa, those flautas, tacos con cochinita, and tamales.
Thanks for another fun episode. Hasta próximo! Buen provecho! 🫰🏻✨️😊
Hola Cris! 😊 The tostadas were some of our favourite things this video, they were insanely tasty. That would be interesting to try out a few recipes, let us know how they turn out!! Thanks for watching and commenting, see you next meal 😉🧡

I love my Mexico even though I was born in Tampa Florida from Mexican parents. Corn and chilis is the most important thing in Mexico and I can't live without it.
Yes, those are so important in Mexican cuisine. It's really great to have a connection to your heritage like that. Hello to you in Tampa, and thanks for watching and commenting! 😊
@@HungryTwoTravel thank you brother and sister. Be safe and keep the videos coming ☺️
Thanks for the suggestions!
@@tanos777 Thanks for the suggestion too, tanos :)
México is in North América also...
It sure is!
In Mexico we don’t eat feta cheese.
Feta cheese is from Greece!
Feta cheese isn't from Mexico, correct 😉
Where do I find the tamales?
All the locations for the places that we visit are in the description 😊 thanks for watching!
When were you there?
Three weeks ago 😉
Ah nice. Love CDMX, so underrated. Were the jacaranda blooming yet?
Not that we could see, no!
😭👌!!!!
😊
You need to put directions in the streets for when we go over there customer what you're eating looks
The locations to all of the places we visited is in the description box, thanks for watching :)
I'm glad you enjoyed visiting Mexico City. One tip, not every food is supposed to be eaten with your hands, chilaquiles are not nachos, and they usually give you a fork or spoon to eat tamales. Also, maybe it's just me, but I find it a bit gross when you dissect the food with your fingers, sorry.
Thanks for watching 😊
But horchata is made off calabaza seeds, is not from seeds from arroz?
Horchata is made with rice, not pumpkin 😉 Thanks for watching!
Mexico tambien es Norte America
Yes, exactly. We said the traditional Mexican quesadilla is different than what you find in other parts of North America, aka, Mexico is part of North America 😉

Y la Valentina???
🙃
Disculpas por esos cholaquiles😢,,,
They were great, we really enjoyed them!
Saludos !
Thanks so much for watching! We've had chilaquiles a few times now actually, and each time that's how they've looked/been cooked :)
There was way too much mayo in that grasshopper dish. The star of the show should be the CORN, not the condiment. Great video, but in the future, don't be afraid to be more critical of food you don't like. Don't be like that phoney Mark Wiens that does his OMG eye roll on airplane food.
It was our first time having esquites and we really weren't sure what to expect! Next time we would most likely forego the mayo altogether ;) thanks for watching and commenting :)
@@HungryTwoTravel Thank YOU for your honesty and informative/entertaining videos. It's all we ask as viewers.
Hey sorry but Mexico is part of north of America
Yes, exactly. We said the traditional Mexican quesadilla is different than what you find in other parts of North America, aka, Mexico is part of North America 😉

Tacos can be eaten any time of day. You see many taquerias in the morning and especially late at night. Thanks for watching :)
Esos no son chilaquiles es un reboltijo
We've had chilaquiles like this a few times now, it's quite common
