I have been having the same problem in UE5 with Openland and turning the overlap events on / off like you said does seem to fix it (for the landscape object anyway) but i also have a voxelworld going on, and the same problem with detecting the physical materials is occurring there as well (with the same material), I will keep trying things out but so far the turning on /off of the overlap events button does not seem to have been able to work on that one (voxelworld)... as you say it is bad it is so buggy. Hopefully 5.1 will be able improve things... Thank you
Hi there, do you know why does Detect Physics material doesnt show? i see it comes from a Bp_ol sense utils but cant find it :S
Thanks
Hey mate! In UE5, there is no "detect physics material" option. so i cant even start doing anything like you in do in your video =(
just same here!

It's totally unreliable for no reason. We had to build a similar but better API in TerrainMagic to fight this.
When used with UDS, such as in snow or rain, can its physical materials be switched?
Sure. Even with UDS, you need to use a Landscape. So, it’s totally possible.
@@GDi4K How :( I've been trying to set the snow physical material for my effects but failing
