Thank you for that 20 seconds of ASMR at the beginning of this video. I feel like I'm actually in your house now. I have a question for you if you would please answer. @4:17 Why are you not using the "Phys Mat" and instead using the "Hit Component" to get the "Surface Type" ?
rifz42 Inside of the projectile I’d probably add a Play Sound at Location node before the Destroy Actor node. The location being the hit location and use another select node with the same index to determine the sound asset. Thanks for checking out the video!!
Generally with any actor you can run a line trace straight down from the character’s location to get the material of the surface the character is currently on top of and use that info to do a ton of stuff.
Keep the videos coming, Joe. They're all very informative.
Thank you! It really means a lot.

If you did not know what physical material was, I guess the intro just says it all without a single word
That was epic. Thank you! 😀😀
Outstanding! informative, useful, and no background music. : )
Where would you add different audio cues to play for the different materials? thanks!

awesome video. thanks.
How does this work in VR, with the hand controllers, or with the FPcharacter walking on a surface?
