SHOPPING Downtown & SUPERMARKET 2000 In Kigali, Rwanda 🇷🇼

- If you're buying electronics like Smart TV & Laptop, you can get some great prices in Rwanda. However, as a foreigner, go with a reputable tour guide like Fiikazzo. If you don't, then you'll get the Muzungu (White People) prices.
Pay close attention to how foreigner investors took advantage of the Genocide and filled the need that was vacant. Now, many foreigners like Chinese are doing thriving businesses in Rwanda.

Greeting from CHICAGO, IL, USA! VIVA KIGALI, RWANDA! Thank you for your informative and enlightening video! ANKH-ASE!
You're very welcome
Rwanda seems to be a beautiful country and places where you can live in peace of mind and when you buy it’s yours thats a blessing ….. you all know what am talking about! # Unitedwestand🙏🏿
Just stumbled upon your channel. Love this. My Jamaican family members want me to come to Jamaica but I will relocate in African with my Ghanian fiancé. My maternal roots are Ewe and Fante of Ghana, Jamaica and Trinidad and African American. I'm in the US but Rwanda is looking good to me. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to visit soon.🇯🇲🇬🇭🇹🇬🇹🇹
Anytime sis, I see you "mixup" like me, Africa will mix you out.
Wow the place is so clean
One of the cleanest in Africa.. I was impressed when I first watch a vlog about this country
Good to see my Jamaican African brothers and sisters having a great time in the motherland. The headquarters for melanated people.
🌍🖤✊🏿
one of the best video out here, thanks for the info It was fun watching
Heading here in a few weeks. Can't wait.
⚠️Correction: It is not a muzungu price, Muzungu is white, raising prices comes the moment they realize you're not familiar with the price even if you're a Rwandan or a foreigner regardless with your skin color, ofcourse if you're white it's obvious. And this is the case on almost all countries in places where items are not labeled. You don't have to take a local to deal with this issue, instead whenever it's possible ask a local friend or anyone else you meet before arriving at the place to tell you the price range of that thing you want, and when you arrive be confident like you're buying it for the 3rd time, that's how you deal with that.
Thanks for the tips
👍👍absolutely
Please let us have a conversation, I'm born in Jamaica 🇯🇲 and I always loved Africa @@JamCan6322
Hi, thanks bro for this veiwing of rewanda nice and clean, bigup africa.
You're welcome
I LOVE KIGALI.

Another informative video. Besides the Chinese, I am sure the Indians are capitalizing on the market, also.
I am sure Kagame would be proud if a diasporan could replicate what the Chinese are doing.
This is why I'm doing my best to rally the African diasporans from the West to get out of the mental paralysis and start to invest there. I see Hindu temple in Rwanda, and when I talk to some officials, they say that many Chinese are becoming Rwandan citizens. So I believe if the diasporans start to visit and invest in Rwanda, it would be a win for us, the government of Rwanda and Africa.

I concur! I mentioned to you that I’ve had Rwanda on my radar for about 15 years, however, unlike you, I haven’t touched foot on the soil as yet.
I am in the tobacco business and I spend a lot of time in Latin America. In 2024, I would like to make my first trip there.
Good luck in your endeavors. 💪🏽
@@Delitewon looking for into seeing you in the motherland
@@Delitewon only black people who want to change will do so. Many people talk, but no action. That's what many of these ytubers are doing. Where do you see Chinese or Indians on yt saying I am building in Rwanda. I saw this Jamaican open a bakery in America, bringing in over 100.000.000 a year and all these foreigners who make a little money in foreign lands are now preaching because the find the cost of living cheaper. Yet they will not give up they green cards or citizenship. Real phonies in my eyes. When then they give up their connections with the land they hate then they can tell me to come. They are all trying to make money off the dumb people. The funny thing g I saw some African women who say we are not Africans.
Very lovely Rwanda and my new Jamaican GBA friends !! Greetings from your neighbor here in Uganda!!
Wonderful Gerald, how is Uganda. I need to come and visit. I heard there is food "galore" there
@@JamCan6322 Uganda 🇺🇬 is fine. And you're welcome to visit us any time. Yes, food galore is real in Uganda 😅 Best regards 🤗
Rwanda the "Singapore" of Africa. 👍 Keep it clean. 👍😃
My brotha I'm glad for you. Live to the fuuuuuuuuullest. Enjoy the country, the people, the culture.
Evertime you done know. 😊😊
God bless Jamaica
Thanks for sharing 😊
My pleasure 😊
Beautiful country, would love to see locally made things.
You and me both! Will do that soon
African diaspora go and invest in peaceful county 🇷🇼 where no troubles instead there are peace of mind
Amen
Has for the supermarket , the producers of these items are doing it cheap, and the Chinese are the best at that 🤔 as for furniture i think locals should be promoted , hand crafted right there in Rwanda or neighboring country
Great video!!! (From a mid-50’s Black man in the U.S.)
Yea man, I hope you not calling me old foot ino? 😊
OMG, this is impressive. Thanks again for showing us the 2000 mall in Kigali.
Please what other businesses are there in Rwanda.I would like to come down with a business mindset.
There are quite a few businesses opportunities in Rwanda. But please please do your homework. I would advise you to go to RDB (Rwanda Development Board) and get the actual business opportunities and / or new development that will be taking place. To be successful in business is not to jump on any kind of business. You need to know what the needs are in real statistical numbers before you "put shovel" in the ground.
@@JamCan6322 ok thanks.I always like your advice.
Where is a nice place to live and work in Ruanda???
Really enjoy ur vlogs brother....
Glad you like them!
Raspect come cross your Channel very interesting...Am fr Jamaica...only thing see so far is prosperity💜
Respect king, welcome to the new perspective
Almost all foreign countries do that to tourist if you go to Italy on Central America the same thing happens over there is not just Africa and the Caribbean.
That is a fact .I am from Jamaica, and if I go there right now they will try to overcharge me.
Bless your wife, I can’t speak when I’m hungry, I see nothing, I hear nothing 😂. I notice no one glued to their phone 👍🏾
Hahahaha! Hungry black women don't talk.
I am very happy to see Rwandans working in the supermarket 2000 which is a positive thing unlike in America and the UK where the Chinese and Asian people employ their own people.
Not In Rwanda, the government over them like white on rice 😊
If a country is not moving forward it means the country is moving backwards & that is the case of JA for the past 40 years.Clean environment in the capital of RWANDA unlike the capital of JA-downtown Kingston- which is constantly being overrun with raw sewarage flowing down its streets. -it says a lot about the people of JA and the TWO parties they keep supporting.from the 1940s.
Mi naw say nothing, me just a "hold me nose and catch me breath." 😅
Great filmography and narration!
Thank you kindly!
Love the video - positive vibes! Rwanda looks amazing!
One huge red flag though - the Africans give you as an African the muzungu price, but the Chinese as muzungu foreigners gives you as an African the right price in Supermarket 2000?
Still wonderful though.
Hahahaha! I hear you
Central banks are financing the foreigner investors.
The government must insist local partners to inter the market.
Businesses in Rwanda are in the hands of rwandans at more than 90%. Foreigners are a small group.
@@kagabopierre7285 exactly

No, in Rwanda foreigners are treated like locals, you can even take your money home anytime no hustle, its freedom.
Happy to know Africa is looking nice. But it's not for me 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 is for me.. the garden parish of St Ann
I used to own a house over there (Trelawny beach) and me sell it. Too many thieves a brok ina gated community. 😊
Rwanda looks nice but nothing like yaad (Jamaica). JahMekYah.
Just found your channel today. The streets are so clean. Is it true that one day a week is dedicated to cleaning the streets in Kigali?
One Saturday every month
Peace and love my bother.
It's a misconception that muzungu means white people, in fact it means: a traveler or foreigner.
Thanks for the clarity
It means White people in all Bantu languages

Gippy grewal....❤😂🎉😢😮😮😅😊
I love how the bikers all wear helmets and have an extra one for their riders. No speeding. Talk about discipline. Jamaicans would never.
Jamaicans can't do that. Dem break every laws.. the police don't play to ticket you in Rwanda. If you're a law breaker and indisciplined, don't come to Rwanda.
Are you from Jamaica? Very beautiful country.
Born and bred 😊
I need perque
I try to dress like the locals! Don't carry designer purses! Buy Some African clothes asap from the locals so you fit in. I wear African clothes here in the west. So, I fly in, then buy some cloth or ready made from different small lical shops.
Yes you're right, I have to dapper up and look like an African prince
They will notice you once you speak and also many can immediately see that you're not Rwandan even if you're black😅😂
Whoever said you're doing Africans a disservice by advocating for us in diaspora to come home have not lived abroad. Here you live to work and pay bills. And no matter how long you stay here you never belong.

Rwanda seem like a nice spot to retire. Is it cheaper to live there than in The Gambia? Do u know?
It's very affordable especially food, but I have to do a tour in Gambia to get the real comparison
What made you choose rwanda? When comparing Jamaica vs rwanda what is 1 pro & 1 con between both places?
Safety and low corruption
I AM HOMESICK!!
You better preach. Im gonna join you in 2025....
Give me the pulpit, my friend. It's time to preach some inspiration to resurrect the ones who're asleep.
Love what I see but where are the children? In school? It looks like just adults there. Is there population going? Tell me what is the next generation looking like there? Sorry for so many questions but I’m just curious. Thanks For all you do
Keep watching the pins, I will post the news report, that has no crime on the 6pm news... I'll make a video on school children very soon.
Hello Richard, I would rather you say "Canadian/Jamaican" than saying Jamaican/Canadian. Saying Jamaican /Canadian is like saying A "BUS RED," instead of saying a "RED BUS". You are a Jamaican first with Canadian naturalized citizenship.
Yeah so the order is right. JamCan is the proper order. If me change me get cuss out.
What is the exchange rate for the us dollar in rewanda
$1 150 francs.. some place lower, others higher..
Go to google that’s what I did
Please find out about the real meaning of "muzungu". In West Africa, especially in southern Ghana, Togo and Benin, the only name for white people is "Ayevu". Aye means cunning and Vu means dog. Among the Akans in Ghana and la Côte d'Ivoire, it’s "Obroni" which means cynical or leery. Whites who know the meaning, don’t like to be called suchlike.
Thanks, I learned something new. Also, the truth is an offense.
Gba I need to talk with you please
VIVA ALKEBULAN!
Do you know that there is no bargain in supermarket?
You got that right
@@JamCan6322 what was you complaining about then?
Beautiful scenery. But I have two issues. Muzungu price, and I have to learn the language and will still get taken. Nah. Second thoughts on investing. They got double standard mindset. Pure turnoff for the small investor.
Find your sweet spot on Africa and invest my friend
If you visit Asia, they will give you black price :(

This is what I do, when the prices aren't fixed, just begin to bargain by cutting their selling price to half. Trust me, they'll get the message and fess up on the real price because at this point, they've figured out that you know the game.
In addition, always walk away as if you've offered your last price. If they really want your business they'll give you their lowest selling price before you step out the door, provided they're convinced that you're a serious buyer. If it works for me, it could work for anyone, including a Mzungu. No guide necessary.
Absolutely! Thanks, for the tips

Hello, 🌹🌹🌹🌺🌺🌺🌸🌸🌸May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED."
God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily pleas
Amen sister, send a few prayers in the meantime for me while you're at it.

@@JamCan6322 stop consoling yourself there is nothing there.... poverty everywhere. There is nowhere in Africa let us be true to ourselves
Dutch countries use bikes as transportation. They even have a highways for bikes. Motorbikes are less pollution as well. Stop the self hate.
Go there for a visit but NOT to live...Will stay in the West...U look mean...spend the money and dont be so stingy...buy good food
No, I'm not stingy, I'm just frugal.
It is weird to see a city and a country and not see white people walking around with these black people. This means that black people are in control of their own economy. Nothing bad to say about white people, I'm just saying in America in any populated area white people are everywhere, and in these African cities black people run everything from the security to the hospitals the food clothing the entire infrastructure even the military and law enforcement. It is strange to see your own people are in charge of everything that has traditionally had to be have white people as the overlords of the area and that particular City or country.
