I had 3 countries in mind to do my medical internship, but in Rwanda, I already have a Rwandan friend, so I preferred to go to a new country where I know someone and they can give me the information I needed. It was after making up my mind about Rwanda, I started my research.

@Anton's Class. I am Rwandan, but I can assure you that most young people 25 or less can hardly speak serious French now. Sure, they understand it. But mostly would cope in English better. So, it depends on whom you deal with the most.

It’s so sad if people want to retire to Rwanda you need to have a pension of 5000 US dollars I think that is unfair so you would have to have a 90 day visa then leave and come back the prices seem nice but in the country side when you see people living on 3 dollars a day I feel that should be reduced on the website it says 5000 us per month I can’t blame the government in one way but then well off people can only come and retire

Those are also things I would like to know. I am a 60 year old White man, who has been looking for a place to perhaps marry, and retire and settle down. Maybe build and run a home/business cleaning service. Cleaning business by night and providing Maid and housing services to the wealthy. My problem so far has been that there are no "White" TH-camrs saying anything about what it's like as a White man, let alone someone my age, what it is like to live there. Also health insurance, the price of a Auto plus insurance. Cost of repairs. Stuff like that. There is so many questions that other TH-camrs don't answer. They all seem to focus on starting a business. So any help you could give me in these often overlooked subjects. At least it will give you more content for another video. Thanks.

Forighners can drive with drivers license in Rwanda.. u can hire a car n drive urself or get a driver but be aware of the speed traps... Here we do 60km... only few places allows 80km and that's the max,,,

There is no online application for visa. When you get to the airport, the immigration would give you 30days. Then within 30days, you have to get your resident permit that is if you intend to stay here for a period more than 30days.

Yes you can, but Bank of Kigali. I opened my account before getting my resident permit. I don’t know if the policy has changed. But I open mine June 2021
