Brother you are so right especially in this time when we access to so-much information. My son said you are not going to get rich or become wealthy from being educated because the system never set up that way. He continue stating that you should be taught Finances in school that you be able to research, invest and become financially independent. As my dear Dad may he RIP said no one ever get rich from working for someone else.
Well said! He's absolutely right. We are "educated" to be workers, not owners. So, we have to reconstruct the narrative and get rid of the brainwashing, which is very difficult.

Like this series, however not a fan of the timing the market strategy. More of a dollar cost average investor. However I dollar cost average on a weekly basis, holding a stock/index fund/mutual fund on average of 10 years or more. Doing ok so far on most and loose on a few. Think the next thing to mention is saving/investment rates. A rule of at least 10 percent of ones earnings should go to investments.
Absolutely! I do 30%. But I don't believe in paying oneself 10%. I believe in investing 10% because savings are suseptible to inflation.

Jamcan another gem,only keep savings account to hold emergency funds.You need three accounts,savings account for emergency funds,checking account for your operating expenses ie bills.All other accounts should be merchant account for side business and brokerage accounts/ investment accounts for investment.Keep up the great work jamcan,we must have order especially when it comes to personal money management

U do both for liquidity purposes and when u do a savings account make sure it’s an high yield savings account like an online one like Barclays they give almost 5% on ur money for it just sitting in there with no minimum requirement
