I love Crown but man they just need to get their aesthetics better. From what I’ve seen it’s either looks or quality, pick one. And I want both lol. I want a shoe that actually looks like a common project, not just a generic low top. But I also want quality lol
Even considering the last few years of rampant inflation, and the incredible material and make of this product, >$900 is just ludicrous, and no one should pay that.
@paxtonneyman6834 That's just for the outside of the uppers, too. These are also lined. The sole construction would also add to the overall value. The raw materials are easily half of the consumer cost. If 8 hrs of labor at an average of $30/hr then the cost of materials and labor would be around the $700 range. Thats 8 hrs to hand cut, glue, sow, hand last, fit the outsole, qc check, package, and any other misc labor or labor resources. Part of the price has to go towards other business expenses like building leases, electricity, ect. Given what these shoes are I'm surprised they're not more. I wouldn't personally buy them but I respect them.
many don't like the design of this one, i love it, mainly because i'm used to see the typical sneaker look and designs that we all recognize, and every single brand no matter what desing they go with they always lean into that kind of look, but this, this looks like a straight piece of very nice skin just nicely covering your feet and thats it, different, minimalistic, confortable and functional shoe and nothing else, it looks a little bit of the box and cool, it's nice, i think is way to expensive but still
I appreciate all the time that goes into to that cordovan leather but you don’t talk about the need to buy a literal bone to roll the leather with to keep it from wrinkling etc. it’s a lot of maintenance.
It is extremely difficult watching you disassemble this shoe, I can't imagine the catch-22'ness youngo through, with the curiosity of the construction, and pain of the destruction
Its enjoyable to just talk about shell cordovan and how its made. Its such a cool and different type of material I just rub it and sniff it like a creeper.
I kinda feel the appearance is more suited to being a boot, but tbh gum souls aren't my favourite style appearance-wise. That leather does look damn nice though, especially on that shoe
People like to crap on Common Projects and a lot of it is warranted given the price, but they nailed the silhouette and cut of the perfect white sneaker. Seems these are the exact opposite, perfect construction and materials but none of the good looks.
We need a full air sole like Nike has and a high quality leather like the muggs has that is my perfect leather sneaker. Soft enough to walk in all day and rough enough to last many years. Just my opinion
i appriciate the difficulty and talent required to produce this shoe, but its a pretty ugly pattern. it looks like what a small child would draw for a shoe. no creativity or style to it. Also the french binding is pretty feminine looking.
Get a pair of MUGGs or SLUGGs before they are gone here - bit.ly/3AxsUTh
Great materials and construction, but I don't know how I feel about the look.
These look like the 70 year old foreman's weekend cruisers
Or old boxing shoes from the 60s either way they dont look good@tonydragon784

I want them to look cooler too. Everything about them is amazing, buuuuuuut they're missing something.
Exactly why these should not cost anywhere near $900…. it’s just silly
Exact opposite of the Common Projects, all of the top materials and construction but terrible look lol
Look at Goral's options. Quality is directly on par with Crown but their styling is a little more contemporary.
The gnarly sweat crust ring around your hat is a nice touch while u wear 1k shoes 😂😂
😂😅
Totally loved buying a pair after your previous video on the Crowns!

You miss the part where he said that the material for each shoe is $200?

On my pair the left one is rolling perfectly but the right is just a crease/ straight line across the toes where the stiffener edge is. I'm piissed
Those look so good. Id definitely go for the low top model. The LH soles are just perfect though. Light and comfortable and they hold up really well.

What a coinky-dink! I'm wearing my green chromexel hi-top Crowns today! I do have a pair of Crown color 8 shell sneakers from them, too. Great kicks!

Bro pls how will I be officer K from blade runner without the Rose Anvil leather suspenders 😩
It is extremely difficult watching you disassemble this shoe, I can't imagine the catch-22'ness youngo through, with the curiosity of the construction, and pain of the destruction
Foot shaped toe box sluggs. Please and thank you.
my one penny on whole cut design is that the wrinkle (or rolls on the shell) will be more (visible) compared with a non-whole cut design sneaker...

Cool bowling shoes

I think there were other options like black soles
Are the muggs wide toe friendly?
Beautiful! Minimalism at its best.

Untill this video i never heard of them
Looks good
Get em yo
...one more thing, it is narrow and it WON"T expand as you are limited by the width of the outer sole... it will flex but will not expand...
“These look so crazy” as he unveils the ugliest shoe I’ve ever seen

These look kinda ugly for a shoe this price, the looks don’t match
Other model looks good. These are hideous.
Nope. These are ugly af and overpriced. 😂
