I was roommate to Jessie Logins Dave's cousin. When Dave came to Tennessee Tech for concerts we would all hangout after. Dave was a nice guy. I lost track since those 70's. I miss those days.

Everything was better back then such as, music, movies, televison. Better then todays crap generation. Theres too much violence today. 70s was a peaceful time. I just noticed that his offer gets better and better as the song goes on. First he tries to get her to come to a group house in Boston, which, really, who would voluntarily do that? Then he offers her a cabin outside Denver in the mountains, which is not a bad thing at all, especially in the 1970s. Then he's got a house in (presumably) Malibu, looking over the ocean, living next to a bunch of movie stars, and she still says no.

And, that album it came from is excellent as well.... rather “dark” at times, but beautiful! If I had to be on an island forever with only 10 albums, Apprentice In A Musical Workshop would one of the 10!
