So basically SCPToolkit driver is replacing your original bluetooth driver, and you can't use any devices other than ps3 controller. It is better to use Bluetooth dongle and install SCPToolkit on that dongle, rather than installing it directly to your devices bluetooth
I really love that you care about this topic, cause I still have my PS3, which I don't use regulary and there is just PS3 Controllers laying around unused, and the old method of SCPToolKit is just not working for me no more, so I'm really thankful for you!
thanks a lot, this worked! i found two controllers from the trash bin outside and decided to check if those would still work. just had to buy the correct cable, and now thanks to your video tutorial these controllers are back in life!
BUT now in the next day, I found that the PC lost its Bluetooth (i don´t have that usb-bluetooth adapter what you used). Windows troubleshooter says: "Device does not have Bluetooth. Please try using an external adaptor to add Bluetooth capability to this computer". So, I had to uninstall the Intel driver from ScpToolkit, and to restart the PC. I got the PC´s bluetooth back, but now the controllers doesn´t work with the Bluetooth. Is there a way that I could have both working at the same time, without the need to always uninstall and to restart PC to work with one of these ??? The controller works with the cable (together with PC´s own Bluetooth), but if I unplug the controller, it doesn´t work. I tried installing only the PS3 controller parts (bluetooth and basic driver) at ScpToolkit Installer, but still no success.
@@turku-suomi-finland8909 I've had the same experience. This seems to take control of the Bluetooth transmitter, and the only solution I see is to use a USB dongle alongside your mobo's integrated Bluetooth. If you find a better solution though I would be interested in knowing it.

Summary: 1. Download ScpToolkit v1.6.238.16010 (not the source files) through the dl link in the description 2. Install: Set up installation folder (its better to install it into a SCP Toolkit folder idk why, this guy told us), agree to the licence blabla; NEXT select everything 2:00 and install, finish 3. If you installed to desktop, do this 2:17 4. Plug in your bluetooth dongle and your controller with usb cable. The 4 lights of your controller sould be blinking at this time 5. Run SCP Toolkit driver installer 6. 3:06 7. Run toolkit monitor 8. Open up hided icons in the bottom right and 4:36 - 6:25 (I recommend to speed up the video about 1.5x faster)
I have a noob question, I’m sorry.. ❤ Why do you prefer a separate BT interface for the PS3 controller? What’s the downside of using my integrated Intel BT interface? And how do you prevent the dongle from taking over ALL BT in Windows? I can’t use my built-in Intel BT interface for my other devices when the dongle is plugged in.
not a noob question at all, the reason being is that we've noticed in some cases that when you connect PS3 via this bluetooth method, the pc built in BT doesn't work and requires to uninstall and re-install the module...secondly, the usb bluetooth takes over because the system only makes as "active" one of the modules, there are ways and apps to make them as separate BT which will be a video soon on it because a lot of us have that same issue, you're not alone nor a noob.lol

Hold it for five second or longer. It sometimes take quite a long time to hold the home button for wireless connection. You can also unplug and plug the bluetooth or deactivate and reactivate the bluetooth dongle from device manager. For some reason that was when it started to work for me.
I know I'm late to respond but first go to the toolkit driver installer push uninstall then if your not using a USB Splitter or USB Expander then select PS3 controller Bluetooth driver installer then install PS3 controller in dualshock 3 driver then exit and continue with the video 4:23

Weird. It works with the usb cable plugged in, but not wirelessly and stopped me from being able to use the bluetooth dongle for anything else as well.

Wonderful video, unfortunately it's not working for me. whenever I unplugged the controller, scp seems to have error finding the connection from my dongle to the controller.
I tried many times until I got it to work. Basic things were aways to execute as admin the modules. After installing any driver, reboot the system. And open the SCP monitor to see if the host(Bluetooth) is showing there. If it is, connect the controller via USB, it may appear at the monitor, then when you the cable. It should connect automatically to the Bluetooth. I don't know exactly how it works, it's about trying. In my case, I use a generic CSR 4.0 adapter and 2 fake DS3 controllers. It's a little unstable, but the adapter is the problem
@manofthesky514 I only tried TP-Link UB5A/UB500 and CSR 4.0. They both worked. Have you tried other versions or applications? They leave some drivers behind sometimes, and you have to uninstall them, before try again. Is your controller genuine?
Idk, what seems to be a problem, but when I go to the Monitor there is "Host adress: " and "Pad 1: Disconnected" even though I think I did everything correct. Do you know what can I try to solve it? Maybe I did sth wrong while choosing the Bluetooth driver? I didn't really know what to choose cuz there were 3 options besides my controller. Hi bro I followed the procedure but my problem is on driver download and installation when i click on next some may go good while some are not and if i skip and finish the complete installation so when i run driver installer under install Bluetooth driver am not seeing my Bluetooth driver and under install DualShock 3 am not seeing play station controller so your help is needed bro

I still can't get Bluetooth connection after following this, I've also rebooted the pc. I noticed after rebooting the host address is showing disconnected now even when wired.
Had to uninstall everything, uninstall the native bluetooth on my pc(so it'd clean reinstall), and reset up the actual ps3 drivers I had originally. What an absolute mess. I scanned everything, and gave it a glance through. There's no viruses, but I definitely think there's some serious compatibility issues going on. Just be ready in case it doesn't work on your machine.

But only way I can get it working properly is to just install it on my PC's Bluetooth, then after it's all set, I plug in my dongle for other Bluetooth connectivity. This version your using is even the version I've had backed up on my PC for a LONG time. Just can't seem to get it to work like it used to

Not recommended, literally got a blue screen saying my device is error and need to restart itself, then it just shutted itself off. At the current moment, it's working properly but I feel like every thing is slower. Opening youtube took like 6 seconds to operate. Still not sure if this is a virus or not, but im not going to dowloaded that again.
it's a compatibility issue with some components and sometimes windows itself is the problem, as per virus, i don't think it has any infections because i always scan things before i put a video (Malwarebytes and Ransomware Defender).
Hey, I have a PS3 bluetooth arcade stick which works fine on PS3 but cant seem to get it to work Bluetooth on computer. it does work with games without any program for wired mode but I cant get it to connect to any DS4Windows App or Dshidmini, I believe I tried SCP as well years ago but worry if this is pointless. After making a cool arcade sound, two of the many notifications that pop up during driver installation say: LMP_Version: Unknown Specification HCI_Version: Unknown Specification Or something like that. Then it just hangs there for minutes on end until I click the X to close it.
It helped me make wired connection work. However, when I install the bluetooth (I have no dongle), bluetooth connection does not work and it messes up with my bluetooth connections. I lose my Bluetooth also in the Device Manager.

How can I change the PS3 controller 'input number' - I have 2 controllers, one always gets the number 3, and the other number 4. Is there any chance to make them number 1 and 2? 2. Bluetooth controller works really well when playing Rocket League. However, when I connect one controller to the PC (either using cable or bt) while running FIFA 22 (downloaded from Origin PC app), the game glitches like it has one more controller, clicking the down button endlessly... and when I go to "Pick a side" on FIFA, there are both my controller and a second ("ghost") controller. @@zmiennik4025 Because the original bluetooth drivers are now replaced with SCP drivers. You can uninstall SCP drivers from device manager and re do all the steps with a secondary dongle. During the installation you can pick the new dongle on SCP configuration menu and then it will run its third party SCP drivers with that secondary dongle rather than your built in blueooth device with its original drivers. You can use the latest version of SCP rather than the particular one in the upload. It is useless for solving that issue but configuring SCP with a secondary bluetooth dongle fixing this issue.

Dude it's not working. I've installed and uninstalled it, and the ScpToolkit monitor doesn't recognize anything, it's blank. I go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device and Printers, and I see my PS3 controller there, but it won't recognize any buttons I press.
I get connected but then it instantly disconnects every time, even gone into the trusted devices and made sure that the controller is one of them but that disappears. Doesn't work with Mint 21

For those throwing away thier dongles due to it not "working", just go to your device manager and revert the update of the dongle, problem solved!!

when i open monitor, it says disconnected on EVERYTHING. i dont have any blootooth thing in the main computer...

Hey brother...I'm sure there's a way to make this work fine. But only way I can get it working properly is to just install it on my PC's Bluetooth, then after it's all set, I plug in my dongle for other Bluetooth connectivity. This version your using is even the version I've had backed up on my PC for a LONG time. Just can't seem to get it to work like it used to

Great tutorial ... i followed 100% but i am only able to connect one controller at a time the both work but not simultaneosly could the issue be my bluetooth adapter not supporting multiple devices
with wire connection rumbling does not work
when rumble the controller, it disconnect automatically and turn connect automatically but not rumble/vibrate.

Not recommended, literally got a blue screen saying my device is error and need to restart itself, then it just shutted itself off. At the current moment, it's working properly but I feel like every thing is slower. Opening youtube took like 6 seconds to operate. Still not sure if this is a virus or not, but im not going to dowloaded that again.
it's a compatibility issue with some components and sometimes windows itself is the problem, as per virus, i don't think it has any infections because i always scan things before i put a video (Malwarebytes and Ransomware Defender).

You dont need to hold r1 and l1, just keep pressing the ps button until it shuts down.

Hey, I have a PS3 bluetooth arcade stick which works fine on PS3 but cant seem to get it to work Bluetooth on computer. it does work with games without any program for wired mode but I cant get it to connect to any DS4Windows App or Dshidmini, I believe I tried SCP as well years ago but worry if this is pointless.

sorry for asking, im using a fake controller, i watched the video no jumps and it works on usb cable but it lights in the first player and last player and when i disconnect it doesnt work and when i opne the monitor with the ps3 controller connected in the pc it doesnt show hte controller same as bluetooth but bluetooth doesnt work (not saying ur video is not helpful)

After making a cool arcade sound, two of the many notifications that pop up during driver installation say:
LMP_Version: Unknown Specification
HCI_Version: Unknown Specification
Or something like that.
Then it just hangs there for minutes on end until I click the X to close it.
BUT it seems like it's working so far after I disconnect the pad.
It helped me make wired connection work. However, when I install the bluetooth (I have no dongle), bluetooth connection does not work and it messes up with my bluetooth connections. I lose my Bluetooth also in the Device Manager.

Thanks for the video. Actually the first video worked perfectly fine on my Asus laptop (while the Scptoolkit didn't, not even when I used a bluetooth dongle).
I just have 2 questions:
1. How can I change the PS3 controller 'input number' - I have 2 controllers, one always gets the number 3, and the other number 4. Is there any chance to make them number 1 and 2?
2. Bluetooth controller works really well when playing Rocket League. However, when I connect one controller to the PC (either using cable or bt) while running FIFA 22 (downloaded from Origin PC app), the game glitches like it has one more controller, clicking the down button endlessly... and when I go to "Pick a side" on FIFA, there are both my controller and a second ("ghost") controller. It's really strange

Yes it worked perfectly than it removed bluetooth completely. I don't know why and it was very hard to make it work again.
@@zmiennik4025 Because the original bluetooth drivers are now replaced with SCP drivers.
You can uninstall SCP drivers from device manager and re do all the steps with a secondary dongle. During the installation you can pick the new dongle on SCP configuration menu and then it will run its third party SCP drivers with that secondary dongle rather than your built in blueooth device with its original drivers. You can use the latest version of SCP rather than the particular one in the upload. It is useless for solving that issue but configuring SCP with a secondary bluetooth dongle fixing this issue.

Yeah just press uninstall and It should uninstall ge scp drivers and go back to normal

my controller has two options, one where it is a xbox 360 controller and another one saying just controller, its a fake ps3 controller, i am having a little bit of trouble, the installing never ends when i selected both options

Dude it's not working. I've installed and uninstalled it, and the ScpToolkit monitor doesn't recognize anything, it's blank. I go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device and Printers, and I see my PS3 controller there, but it won't recognize any buttons I press.
You have to change your PS3 Controller driver to USB on Device Manager
I get connected but then it instantly disconnects every time, even gone into the trusted devices and made sure that the controller is one of them but that disappears. Doesn't work with Mint 21

delete everything you have downloaded so far and then run anti-virus that is on your computer.
I have done the same thing and my pc works fine now.
and you might have to give up on connecting your ps3 to your pc since, there is no variable source to connect it properly.
At my first intention, I want to connect my laptop with my ps3, so I can play dragon ball fighter z with it. But, I have gave up and just play it with keyboard. so horrendous.

Anyone know how to change the led behavior on the dualshock 3 when connected? Every time I turn it on and connects wirelessly through bluetooth the led light turns on for number 4 no matter how many controllers are connected. I want it to light up in order led number 1, 2, 3 and 4 like when connected to ps3
