    I have that same countertop coming in soon! Hopefully I don't get any cracks or off-putting imperfections in it..
    I absolutely love the color of the desk after you applied the oil. Did some digging on Lowes and I just wanted to confirm - did you use "WATCO Medium Walnut Brown Danish Oil?" Before I pull the trigger on which one to buy. Thanks in advance!

      Actually it was "Natural" color Watco Danish Oil - it has a slight golden yellow hue to it. After the first coat, I wet sanded it with the oil instead of just rubbing it on again. A lot of the ebony stain came out after that, but since the danish oil had the light golden hue, it sorta turned into a dark walnut look. I wasn't exactly planning on it to go that way, but I'm quite happy! My advice is to go light on each coat of oil. I went a little heavy and it bled out for a good while. I had to wipe it constantly.

    Could I get an update on the topsky, has it held up, any weird issues? I want to buy one but am nervous with Amazon noname brands

      Sure! It's been solid, I've had no issues whatsoever. The motors are working/sounding great and the controller buttons still function properly. The frame is holding up nicely too - supports my pretty heavy desktop and equipment and I haven't seen any bending or bowing. Honestly I think it's a great frame for a great price. I think there is a $25 amazon coupon right now too. (this is not a sponsored video)

    Very nice cable management, but please do your PC a favor and get off the floor.

      Thanks, it took a while! The PC is fine on the floor. It's been there for years. There's no flood danger and i keep a pretty clean ship. Plus the carpet is flat and firm - no shag getting sucked up into the fans lol.

    How has the wobble been?

    • @ReverendMantis
      @ReverendMantis  ปีที่แล้ว

      First off, let me say that I have jimmy legs. If anyone's going to get a desk wobbling, it's me! With that said, it's not bad. The desk and legs are quite solid. At full height it's more noticeable, but still not bad. As for the main monitor arm, it wobbles a little, but less than plenty of other arms I've seen. It's quite sturdy at full extension. Great value for the price imo.

      @@AndrzejLDotEu Lol, and that's without the stickers yet. honestly though, i live in a cool climate - my floors can be chilly - nice natural cooling assistance.

    • @AndrzejLDotEu

      @@ReverendMantis Do you have a cooling fans / mesh / airflow vents at the bottom? If so the carpet will lower the airflow and possibly cause overheating especially if the case legs are short and stubby and the carpet fibers are dense. Also carpet dust and hair will get sucked into the case and make your PC a nice new home for themselves. Also I've seen to many PCs killed by static from the carpet to care to admit. Try and extend the legs or put an antistatic material (wooden plank) between the carpet and the PC brother.

      @ReverendMantis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AndrzejLDotEu Thank you for clarifying. No, I only have front intake. The carpet is the firm matted type (think of office carpet almost). There is most certainly clearance and I'm a bit ocd about keeping the area clean. I also dust my tower pretty often. In my many years of building computers, I've never shocked out anything because my PC was on the floor. I will 100% agree with you if the carpet is thicker though. A wood plank is never a bad idea 🙂!
