    Bro. I spent days of my life looking at different solutions but this was hands down THE BEST. I did a light sanding and spray painted it for a buttery matte finish. I had extra left over from my desk so I installed it on my wife's new desk and she was blown away by the functional benefit AND aesthetics (which 99% of everyone else's solution fails to achieve). This cable channel paired with a power strip screwed in under the desk is dope AF. Thank you so much!!! Keep up the awesome videos!

    I ordered the items listed, with the exception of the desk and spray paint, and just completed cleaning up the cables and wires on our Tresanti Adjustable Height Desks. The cable raceway is the game changer, with enough space to tuck plenty of plugs and wires and neatly run them to my devices. Thanks for taking the time to create and share this video!

      I have the same Tresanti desk. Did you end up drilling holes in the desk to hold the cable raceway?

    • @AndreLAllen
      @AndreLAllen 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@JDIAthletics Yes, I drilled about 3 holes on the bar that is right behind the desk drawer. Helpful Info: Make sure the drawer is fully closed, so you can attach the cable raceway with enough clearance from the back of the drawer, so it continues to fully open and close properly.

    This is the best and most helpful cable management video I've seen! I just got my standing desk and with these tips, it looks so sleek and perfect. The plastic table ties, a cable raceway, and the 3 MM tape made the most impact. Thanks so much!!

    To make the power cord going to your surge protector/power bar look neater, you could try the following: Wrap the cord in a tight coil around a broomstick, or piece of dowel, and tape it there overnight. The next day when you remove the tape, the cord will be coiled like a spring, and stretch and contract with the raising or lowering of the desk.

      Extra pro-tip here: if you do this and use a hairdryer while wrapped around the broomstick (cautiously, don't want to melt the cable casing) you can give the cable a memory of the coiled state

    This is. By far. The best video on desk cable management ever. I've done everything in this video, and I can attest to this working really well. My only nitpick is 7:02 - those cable plastic ties do not work at all. I got those exact ones, and they fall off the desk very easily. I think the best solution is to have a taught connection to the cable raceway at the back or use multiple of those cable plastic ties for each individual cable. The rubber cable clamps at 7:22 under the desk have been a better option for me.

    For a one person install you can simply slide a pencil or something similar through the slots in the wire rack to hold excess wiring up until you are ready to snap on the cover. Then pull the pencils out and easy peasy lemon squeezy , your'e done . Also I love the desk but I already traded my left testicle and my first born for a 32" monitor , so I guess it's gonna be plywood on milk crates for a while longer.

I did buy a 3x3 raceway instead and it can hold two giant power bricks pretty well. I'm going to run with it as is for now, but will consider taking them out and sticking them in a parallel raceway in front of the current one so that they can sit in a separate cubby away from the other cords in the raceway. Thank you so much! I rarely post but had to for this. I did this and LOVE the result. I'm a stickler for having everything organized and hate clutter and this was the perfect way to take care of all those wires and cables that was such an eye sore! Good video! My one critique is that you used sitcky tape to mount your power strip when it clearly has mounting holes on the bottom. The tape will eventually come loose, guaranteed.

      please tell me you didnt pay that much money for that desk... those legs dont have a full support beam underneath, they are 200 dollar chinease made legs, and the walnut countertop can be picked up for 250 bucks at your local home depot. stain it and screw the legs on.
