    Best looking EV out there. Not a fan of SUVs. Picking my e-tron GT up tomorrow.

      Exactly - why all these SUV's?? tall wobbly things, bad handling as well as being ugly.

      @@christophera3330 really smooth and lots of power. I didn’t go for the RS version and no regrets on that. Two options I wish I had chosen were a heated steering wheel and the air suspension which would have improved cornering. Otherwise excellent.

    Two quality problems so far: rattling speaker in the A-pillar, and heater failed (seems to be a common fault in these). All fixed for free, but took a while. I think Audi UK/Germany isn't supporting the dealers very well, since a) they sometimes won't tell the dealer when the parts will be available and b) they sometimes won't take the parts back if the dealer ends up not needing them, so for example the dealer wouldn't order my heater "just in case", I had to wait two weeks for the car to be seen and THEN they could order the heater, so another week on top of that waiting for the heater. Annoying! But now it's working it is a brilliant car to drive.

    I have had one for a few weeks, and I love it. I had an A7 previously. I have also got Etron 55, and I love it as well. Fantastic Car, and enjoying my Electric life

    Best looking EV in existence. Real buttons and physical controls over touch control any day. I don't understand the criticism of the interior being "outdated". I'd say "timeless" and "functional" are better descriptions. I'd absolutely love to own this car.

    Really great review especially seeing it in 'normal' areas. Can I ask when you get into it do you sit close to the floor or is it just like an Audi a4/5 type of seat?

    Just picked mine up in Poole so might see you around! The Porsche interior kind of looks a bit 1980’s tech somehow. Not sure how they managed that.

    Being as this could be my first EV I do have one question. This is based on finding chargers on the go; I test-drove a Tesla and a Polestar2 and both used the inbuilt satnav to find charge stops and state if they were busy or not. Excellent! This is important as we don't want to be planning charging stops before we set off on our long trips (Spain etc). How does it work with this car please?

      I use an app called Zapmap which is brilliant. Audi also have an app with chargers, and my home charger (Podpoint) also comes with an app. But really Zapmap is free and it's all you need.

    Has Audi been cost cutting, I suspect so! So dissatisfied with mine, I’ve ran for over a year and the amount of rattles and creaks is unbelievable. Speakers rattle, front seats creak, doors rattle as we as numerous electrical issues when taken into Audi they cant identify despite them being recorded !

    The E-tron is still rolling or already burned down by a faulty battery pack? Is your dealer in contact with you? Why not? Same problem as the Porsche Taycan. There are recalls required by at least NHTSA (US) and KBA (Germany) and a few cars are burned down. Which can not harm lifes, but also the environment around the car. another car bites the dust yesterday in Worms in Germany

      Another keyboard warrior who can't stick to facts - probably not even old enough to drive!
      The battery issue potentially affected a batch of batteries made by LG Chem in Poland. All vehicles built with these batteries have a recall (mine was done before I bought the car used) and tested. In the rare event of failing the test, the battery is replaced. The actual issue is with bad sealing, allowing cooling water ingress into the battery itself. In theory this could lead to a fire but none have been reported so far and there will be a battery failure warning long beforehand, you are being alarmist to say the least. So far, fires in non-EVs far exceed those from EVs, although to be fair, there are far more non-EVs old the road and of course are of an older average population.

    • @theChrisCroft
      @theChrisCroft  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      well mine hasn't caught fire, and I don't know anyone who has had that problem. I think a car full of petrol is probably just as dangerous....

      @@theChrisCroft Hi Chris, How is the build quality holding up with yours, I'm referring to interior trim? Mine's under 3000 miles but tizzes and creaks over anything but a smooth surface. The center console towards the rear is by far the worst. Taking it in later this morning to be "evaluated" and then fixed at some point I hope. Had a V8 S6 for 7 years before trading in for the GT a couple of months back and have to say general build quality of the GT is no match for the S6 which was still tight and silent when I bade a fond farewell to it.
      If I may, another question please: If you do much town driving,
