- We're bread eating carb lovers around here. I hardly get the chance to get all 4 loaves into the freezer because there's always someone here taking a fresh loaf home.
This bread is made constantly and stocked in the freezer. It can serve as the main show in a meal or as a side to the meal. Either way you'll love it.
French bread: 2 loaves
2 1/4 C warm water
1 1/2 t sugar
1 T yeast
2 T olive oil
5 1/2 - 6 C all purpose flour
2 t salt
egg wash
400* 10 min
375* 15-20 minutes
😊
I’m making this tonight! Can you please send a link to the smaller bread bags you use? I’ve never seen those before! Thank you!

Sometimes the bread can turn out quite large and it can be difficult to get them into the bags lol but for the most part I do not have any issues. Thanks for watching 😊
This looks delicious! I can't wait to bake this. Thank you for sharing your recipes.
You are so welcome!
Hi Angela. The bread looks delicious 🤤. I want to give this type a try but I have a few quick questions. 1- in the description is says the oven is 400 degrees for 10 minutes but in the video you mention 425… 2. For the 4 loaf tin are you doubling the recipe you provide or does it make 4 loaves and 3. Do you know if there is a difference between a baguette mold and the French bread tin?
@kelleyleblanc5025 My apologies. You are correct I did state in the video 425⁰ but it is in fact 400⁰. I am doubling the recipe to make 4 loaves. And a baguette form is different. They tend to be more slender in size however this recipe could still work. You just would need to make your loaves smaller.
@@angelas_pantry_obsession thank you for your fast response! I’m going to get the pan and make these! I let you know how it turns out!
Looks delicious!
Thank you 😊
Do you have to have the pan to make this? Also the mat you were kneading on is it a pain to clean? I have seen another you tuber use one and wondered about that. Good video!!! I just found you recently.
Also do you have an Amazon link that has items you use?
@paulawallace6688 you do not have to have the form pans. I've made this bread longer without it than with it. Only difference is, your loaves will not be uniform in size. I think thats OK too. The more rustic look sometimes the better😊 The silpat mat is not a pain to clean. It's the same as the ones you'd put on cookie sheets to bake on. I actually find it a pain however to knead on. I just deal with it lol and never think to move it. I enjoy it for things like pie dough.
Lastly, I do not yet have an Amazon link but I'm hoping too soon. I have to meet some "goals" first with my channel before I am allowed to link it😊 Should be soon though🤞
@angelas_pantry_obsession Awesome about getting a link. It really helps us find the stuff you use. Ok good. I think I will try your recipe soon. Rustic is beautiful. Thanks for answering my questions.
